RACE TWO

His first run following a stable switch may show a duck egg but the effort of CRAZYY SHIPPO (9) was much sharper than the return. Eased early from gate 5, he was a long way back and with the leader zipping home he made up plenty of ground in attacking the line. This looks a shade easier and with the right trip can look to open his Qld account.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1) eased from gate 6 last start and was settled at the rear and facing a big ask as the speed was on up front with JUDDY DOUGLAS taking them all the way. Chasing hard to grab 3rd, it followed a sound effort in the JC McMullen. With all the options he can throw it down.

BEACHBOY BUTCH (10) made an error last start that saw him banished to the trials. Earning the return with a smart hit out, this is just his 2nd run for the Dixon stable and with the right cart home can feature.

WESTAR SAM (5) eased from gate 6 last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip before making a strong run wide off the track when 2m in arrears of the winner. This is just his 2nd outing at headquarters, but he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CRAZYY SHIPPO (9), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1), BEACHBOY BUTCH (10), WESTAR SAM (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

This is a solid race for a Friday and contains plenty of strong form. CAPTAIN NEMO (4) is still a little wide in the four-hole, but that is the best alley he has secured since arriving in Qld. A smart winner from gate 7 here 3 starts back, he has been runner-up his past 2 including a head margin last start after doing all the heavy lifting. He can capitalise here.

KEAYANG MARVEN (5) secured the 1x1 trail on the back of CAPTAIN NEMO last start and had bullets to fire in the stretch, hitting the target in the last strides to claim victory by a head. Gate 7 and traffic was his undoing the start prior and although this is again a tough alley, he can throw it down.

MAJOR FERNCO (6) was looking for a hat-trick of wins here 2 starts back when wide off the track and not suited as the top 3YO CAPTAIN CRUSADER put them to the sword. The gate stings, as it did last start, but he can be thereabouts.

EL AGUILA (8) took full advantage of gate 1 last week to fire off the arm and then was never headed in claiming a slippery mile. He may just be buried in transit but will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (4), KEAYANG MARVEN (5), MAJOR FERNCO (6), EL AGUILA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN NEMO (4) to win

RACE FOUR

THE ROCKNROLL KING (7)
is having no luck in landing a marble, lining up here for the 2nd successive outing from this gate which had followed successive starts from gate 10. Strong to the line over the closing stages last start, he was chasing the airborne MAJORCA the start prior. Yet to land a win at this trip, this might just be his chance.

MORESCO (1) took on a mars qualifier last start when retreating from gate 5 and making some nice metres in the closing stages as KATAMACH found the space to burst through and score. With good speed out of the machine and a more than handy record at the trip, she can make a challenge.

SLINGSHOT (9) was at the rear of the pack last start before attacking the line in nice style. Despite finishing in 8th position, his individual splits were slick and with a cart into the contest, he can feature.

NO DOUBT (4) had been knocking on the door for some time and finally it opened here 2 starts back when swooping over the top for a deserved win. 2.5m from the winner last start, he is right in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: THE ROCKNROLL KING (7), MORESCO (1), SLINGSHOT (9), NO DOUBT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MORESCO (1) win/place

RACE FIVE

Needing plenty of luck and factors to fall in his favour from this alley GENERAL MONTANA (8) is the class runner but just needs to find the space. A tidy effort in a strong 3YO fixture last start behind CAPTAIN CRUSADER followed a luckless run from this same gate. If the gaps open in time, he can arrive.

PEPPA BLISS (7) can do plenty wrong but when she is on her game, can really run. Banished to the trials last time out after making an error but still only finishing 2m from the winner NO DOUBT, her trial effort was a sharp piece of work to earn the return. Despite the tough gate she can challenge.

SKIPPYS DELIGHT (6) has been without a win for over 12 months now, but his recent performances suggest he can rectify that soon. Gunned down late when setting the speed last start, he can be in the mix here.

FRANCO NANDOR (1) started from this gate over this trip last time out and released the pressure before chiming in for the bronze behind MAJORCA. The gate gives him the chance to feature.

SELECTIONS: GENERAL MONTANA (8), PEPPA BLISS (7), SKIPPYS DELIGHT (6), FRANCO NANDOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

ALWAYS BOPPING (6)
found the 1x1 trail from gate 5 last start over the Redcliffe 2040m trip but could not go on with it when midfield behind MACH TORQUE. Buried in the run the start prior over that same trip, he faces a sticky gate, but this race looks wide open, and he looks better suited on the big oval.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (9) was sent to the post as fav last time out over the Redcliffe sprint trip but struck some trouble in the run that proved costly. Locked away against the poles 2 starts back, she really charged home to be just 2m from the winner IN CHEVRON WE TRUST. With the right tempo she can arrive.

PARATROUPER (3) rolled forward from gate 6 last start to sit parked and despite working hard in the run was in for the fight when 3m in arrears of the winner. The gate is a plus and he is in the mix.

THIS ONES FOR YOU (4) had the perfect trip in the pocket trail last start but could not land the winning blow as the winner took them all the way. Taking some benefit following 3 weeks between outings, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS BOPPING (6), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (9), PARATROUPER (3), THIS ONES FOR YOU (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

GREAT FANTASY (14)
will be tightened from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a spell. Returning to the track with a smart effort when runner-up to SUGARINSPICE after starting from the 10m tape, he was caught in traffic last start with too many runners to get around. Back to this grade, he can overcome the 30m impost.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5) was a winner here 5 starts back under mobile conditions when powering home over the top for a smart win. Her run here last week was full of merit after making an error and then finishing strongly and trotting cleanly she can throw it down here.

MAJESTIC SPEED (12) is a model of consistency and has hit the board in 6 of her past 8 starts, the latest when closing hard from the mobile for the silver behind DREAMEE. Never far away she can be in the mix again.

HATTIE (4) was runner-up here 2 starts back when finding the pocket trail from the 10m tape and chasing gamely when 3m from the winner MISTER CHISOLM. With a safe start she can the thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: GREAT FANTASY (14), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (5), MAJESTIC SPEED (12), HATTIE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GREAT FANTASY (14) to win
