Racing Queensland advises that following a track inspection at Beaudesert Race Club, ahead of the July 9 meeting, distances for six races have been amended.

The presence of surface water in the chute in the back straight (at approximately the 1100 metre point) has resulted in starting points for the 1400 metre and 1200 metre races being deemed unsafe.

This area of the track was inspected earlier in the week and at the time it was considered problematic, however, the affected area has not recovered in time.

To preserve the meeting, the following changes have been made to races on the program:

- Race 1 – was 1400m, is now 1550m

- Race 2 – was 1200m, is now 1100m

- Race 3 – was 1200m, is now 1100m

- Race 4 – was 1200m, is now 1100m

- Race 5 – was 1400m, is now 1550m

- Race 8 – was 1200m, is now 1100m.

The changes will not result in any horse being denied a start as a consequence of alterations to safety limits.

The track rating at the time of today’s inspection was a Heavy 10.

Trainers should note that there will be no fees payable for any scratchings transacted as a result of the changes to the program.

Trainers/riders with engagements at the meeting will be advised by way of SMS messaging.
