RACE ONE

Runner-up at her first two career attempts, including a 2m margin on this deck, JILLIBY TYPHOON (2) should appreciate an improved alley after starting outside the front line on The Triangle last time. Grabbed in the last strides by MISTER DOMINGO two runs back, conditions look suitable to strike.

MIKI MAGIC (4) started from gate 1 here last week and from the pocket trail could not go with the leader and winner FOR REAL LIFE when they swung for home on the sloppy track. Placed her previous three in succession with two of those from wide gates, she can make a challenge.

MY ULTIMATE JIMBO (7) lands the outside paint for his race debut, the Hurrikane Kingcole colt a member of the Jarrod Alchin barn. With a handy trial sprinting the last quarter, he is in the mix.

MY GIRL MANDY (1) was sent to the post as the fav last start from inside the second line at Redcliffe and was soon buried in the run. A 3rd on debut from this alley can see her in the money once again.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY TYPHOON (2), MIKI MAGIC (4), MY ULTIMATE JIMBO (7), MY GIRL MANDY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY TYPHOON (2) to win

RACE TWO

Having his third start since crossing the Tasman here last week, KING OF THE NORTH (9) garnered some redemption after going under as an odds-on pop at his first two outings. Back in the pack in the early and middle stages, when given his cues, he charged home for a smart win and can repeat.

CARNERA (4) has done all his best work from the mobile and looks to have found the conditions to throw down the challenge. Trying to launch a closing raid after starting from 20m last time out, he was 10m from the winner. Finding the chance to get up at the pointy end early will be a huge asset.

SHEGOTSASS (3) started from the 20m tape last start and was making some closing metres to grab the bronze behind KING OF THE NORTH. Yet to hit the board from the mobile, she can chime in here.

THE REAPER (5) showed what a front-line strand is worth last time, finding the poles then easing out for a retake and taking them all the way thereafter. He can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: KING OF THE NORTH (9), CARNERA (4), SHEGOTSASS (3), THE REAPER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: KING OF THE NORTH (9) to win

RACE THREE

Not much has been in the favour of WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) in recent attempts, but he looks to find a winnable contest no a class drop here. A beaten fav in a much tougher contest two runs back at Redcliffe when fading over the 2040m journey, he can defy the gate to bounce into winning form.

WHATA TERROR (8) angled to the poles from the second line at Redcliffe last start and after the economical trip had the closing power to charge home and claim a 1m margin. Taking good confidence out of that victory, he will be searching for open track to make a challenge.

GLITTER STRIP (4) held on for 3rd here three starts back behind MAYWYN TROUBADOR when taking a late dive up the passing lane. Locked away last start, he has podium claims with the right trip.

HARLEY BLUE (9) has run into some handy ones in her past few starts, grabbing 3rd last time behind the sharp winner LEITHEN BURN. Working hard when midfield to SWEETPASSION two back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6), WHATA TERROR (8), GLITTER STRIP (4), HARLEY BLUE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Aiming up for the hat-trick last week, ROCK BOTTOM (7) was eased back to find position and was left chasing as SQUIRE controlled the tempo up front and out it out of reach of the chasing pack. Arriving after a cosy trip two runs back, he got around them early three back and can capitalise here.

HIDDEN COURAGE (3) was a winner from this gate six runs back when firing off the arm, taking control in a steady opening half and then seeing it out. In his five runs since that win, he has been unable to snare a barrier or conditions to suit. Closing hard two back for 3rd, the gate is a huge help.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (5) has been sectionally super in recent outings, hitting the board in 4 of his past 5 outings. Chasing behind SQUIRE for 2nd last time, with even luck he is right in the fight.

MOHS EM DOWN (8) was required to roll the sleeves for the heavy lifting outside the leader last start, fading late under the toil. A half-head away two runs back, he can be searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: ROCK BOTTOM (7), HIDDEN COURAGE (3), MAFUTA VAUTIN (5), MOHS EM DOWN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK BOTTOM (7) to win

RACE FIVE

HES PERFECTLY IDEAL (6) was first up in Qld last start when landing the inside second line at Redcliffe. Fired up after a pair of false starts, he finished 7m adrift of the winner. A return to the front line looks a benefit and with a handy record at the middle trip, finds an open and winnable contest.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (2) held the pocket trail two runs back from gate 1 where he was then best of the chasing pack behind DANCE IN THE SUN. Finding the running line last week over the mile, he was trying to make a closing raid when 6m in arrears. He can get forward to make a challenge.

IMMER BESSER (1) was first to the poles from gate 3 over this journey last time out before releasing for the trail. Running LANAI to a 2m margin, she has the gate and options to finish in the money again.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7) has no favours from the outside paint but has bene int eh money at his past two starts. Powering over the top from the second line to score two back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: HES PERFECTLY IDEAL (6), AYE AYE CAPTAIN (2), IMMER BESSER (1), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (7)

RACE SIX

Taking benefit from his first up effort from a freshen when 2nd SPEAK WITH SAM (8) looks set to enjoy the perfect trip stalking the speed. Buried from gate 1 when returning, he hit the line smartly when the gaps opened to be within 2m of the winner. The map and conditions look ideal.

PARAVANI (1) has had his runs spaced, his latest outing when forced to grind it out when parked in a 54.6 opening half, fighting gamely to finish midfield. With the improved gate, he gets in tight here and can show the hustle to take control in the early stages here to throw down the challenge.

SQUIRE (9) made the most of the lamp lighting duties here last week when taking control and pulling clear to claim victory by 12m. He will be chasing here but can still find the podium.

EL AGUILA (6) receives no favours wide off the arm here, but his recent form has been handy. A winner when leading throughout here three runs back, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: SPEAK WITH SAM (8), PARAVANI (1), SQUIRE (9), EL AGUILA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEAK WITH SAM (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

Returning from a spell off the back of a pair of trials, AWAYWEGO (3) finds the right contest to return in a flurry. Sent for a break after his last appearance at Redcliffe back in March, the second of his trials which he claimed from the trail has produced the feature winners WOODLEA DIEGO and CREDIT MASTER.

DANCE IN THE SUN (5) was resuming from a spell when buried in transit and picking them off late for the bronze behind UPTOWN BEACHGIRL. Capitalising second-up with an all the way victory, she was again buried last time and never had a crack at them. With early hustle, she can ask a question.

BARTELLO (1) is only lightly raced, having just his 4th career start here last time out when asked to sit parked and do it the tough way when just 2m from the winner. The gate is a big help.

LEITHEN BURN (8) finally opened his Qld account last start, firing off the arm, controlling it in front and seeing them off for an effortless 10m margin. He will be searching for a way clear from this alley.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (3), DANCE IN THE SUN (5), BARTELLO (1), LEITHEN BURN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Making full use of the inside gate here last time out, VALKYRIE (1) was able to keep an even tempo and take them all the way with 3m to spare. A passing lane winner three runs back in a mares qualifier when turning over the long odds-on fav SOHO ALMASI, she can look for a dictating repeat.

FLYING ART (8) was sent around them to sit parked last start from gate 9 over the mile and after working hard in the run, fought gamely when 7m from the passing lane winner CALA JANE. A similar result with a similar trip two starts back at the 2138m, he will be stalking the speed ready to strike.

DUKKAH (5) was soon hemmed away three back here last week and never a winning chance in the stretch the way it eventuated as CHAMONIX arrived. Runner-up the start prior, he has podium hopes.

MISTERY ROAD (4) is moving closer to a win after finishing in the money at his past three in succession. Closing hard wide off the track last start for 2nd, he has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: VALKYRIE (1), FLYING ART (8), DUKKAH (5), MISTERY ROAD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: 1/8 quinella / exacta
