Gold Coast meeting transferred to Sunshine Coast Polytrack

Racing Queensland confirms that following the postponement of the Aquis Park Gold Coast Turf Club race meeting today, the meeting has been rescheduled and transferred to the Polytrack at Corbould Park, home of Sunshine Coast Turf Club. 

The meeting will now be held on Monday, July 25. 

The transfer of the meeting has necessitated changes to some race distances and commensurate with that the starting limits for some of the races on the program. 

They comprise:

  • Race 1 – was 1350m, is now 1400m, with no changes to the original field;
  • Race 2 – remains at 1100m.  Starting limit is 14 hence all (4) emergencies are now in the field;
  • Race 3 – was 1200m, is now 1100m, with no changes to the original field;
  • Race 4 – was 1200m, is now 1100m. Starting limit is 14 hence 2 emergencies are now in the field;
  • Race 5 – was 1350m, is now 1400m, with no changes to the original field;
  • Race 6 – was 1350m, is now 1400m with the same starting limit of 12 hence the original field is retained;
  • Race 7 – was 1200m, is now 1100m. Starting limit is 14 hence 2 emergencies are now in the field; and
  • Race 8 – was 1700m, is now 1600m.  Starting limit is 12 hence 2 emergencies are now in the field.

Trainers should note that in conjunction with RQ protocol and wagering service operator requirements, any scratchings made prior to the race meeting being transferred are unable to be reinstated. 

There will also be no fees applicable for scratchings made at the meeting, irrespective of the time when they were transacted.
