Racing Queensland confirms that following further inclement weather and a track inspection this morning, the Kilcoy RC race meeting programmed for Sunday, July 3, has been abandoned.

The abandonment decision has been made following the determination that the racing surface, which contains areas of surface water, will not recover in time for tomorrow’s race meeting to take place.

Racing Queensland has however secured a replacement date for the meeting and it is Tuesday, July 12.

In accordance with RQ policy and given the length of time between the original and replacement meetings, this will constitute a new race meeting and as such fresh nominations will be called for.

The same race program will however be retained.

Administration deadlines for the replacement meeting are:

  • Nominations close Wednesday, July 6, at 11am;
  • Weights declared Thursday, July 7;
  • Acceptances due Friday, July 8 at 9am; and
  • Rider Declarations are Friday, July 8, at 12pm.

Race times for the meeting will be provided in due course.
