RACE ONE

Undefeated since arriving in Qld with Chantal Turpin, THE HIGH COMMANDER (3) is 2 from 2 at the mile here at The Creek. Following the leader last start, he made the closing shot a winning one in defeating subsequent winner LEITHEN BURN. Taking them all the way first up, he has the gate to take his shot.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (4) showed no speed off the arm here last start and when the field settled, was at the rear of the pack. Making a three-wide attack down the back stretch, it was a top run as BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS took the prize. He will be floating back early and with tempo can be swooping.

BETTOR JIGGLE (7) has no favours from the outside paint, but his form since arriving in Qld with Jack Butler has been super. Winning his first three on the bounce at Redcliffe, his run was full of merit last start when chasing TARGARYEN. He is right in the fight.

NO DOUBT (8) will likely be buried in the run from this alley, but with an economical trip will be searching for open road. Gate 11 was his undoing last start at the 2138m, his closing splits were strong behind LOVE YOUR WORK two runs back and he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: THE HIGH COMMANDER (3), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (4), BETTOR JIGGLE (7), NO DOUBT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HIGH COMMANDER (3) to win

RACE TWO

An open contest presents here with the 2138m making it tougher to dissect with quite a few runners offering less than ideal numbers over the middle distance. RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) has been without a win for some time but might have found the conditions to turn it around. Making closing metres along the passing lane last start, he can settle near the speed to make a play.

BART MAGUIRE (1) has been the runner-up at his past two in succession, the latest on The Triangle when sent forward from gate 5 and asked to graft it out when finishing just a head from the winner. 3m from SHEREACTS two starts back after taking the trail, he can get a cosy trip to alter his poor record at the middle trip.

HARRY KANE (10) is still honing his race craft and has been forced to step up against far more experienced campaigners since obliterating his rivals with a 39m maiden breaking win four runs back. He can be saved to chime in here.

GABBYS IDEAL (5) was a winner at the mile two starts back when easing from gate 5 to secure position before powering home in the closing stages to score. Asked to hang tough first over from gate 7 last start and just 5m away, she has claims again.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2), BART MAGUIRE (1), HARRY KANE (10), GABBYS IDEAL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) to win

RACE THREE

Receiving no favours from the outside second line gate, THE IRISH EAGLE (10) might just appreciate this level of opponent enough to overcome the alley. A smart winner on The Triangle four starts back, he followed that with a 3rd in a qualifier when hemmed away. Clashing with some handy types at his past two, a strong tempo will aid his chances.

HES PERFECTLY IDEAL (8) found suitable conditions last start when pressing on from gate 4 to take control and from the front was able to dictate a 27.5 closing panel to take a 2m winning margin. With the chance to stalk the speed, he can be tucked away and ready to take the snipers shot.

ALEXIA ROSE (1) was first up in Qld last start when sent forward from gate 6 to sit parked and after a tough trip faded in the latter stages as MY ULTIMATE COBBER took the prize. Freshened since that outing, the improved gate is a huge plus.

BRIDGE COIN (2) was not suited when asked to sit parked over the mile two starts back and faded after the tough trip. Eased from gate 6 last start, he was a long way off them before attacking the line strongly to arrive for the prize and can be close enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: THE IRISH EAGLE (10), HES PERFECTLY IDEAL (8), ALEXIA ROSE (1), BRIDGE COIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: THE IRISH EAGLE (10) to win

RACE FOUR

This will be the first appearance for the country’s best 3YO LEAP TO FAME (7) since claiming the Qld Derby one month ago. That was pure dominance when sitting parked and fighting on for victory in a a time that only SELF ASSURED has bettered as a 3YO at the trip. He faces the tough gate but should be too classy.

CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) has hit the board in all 7 Qld starts which include 5 wins. The latest of those was two starts back when powering home from gate 10 for a stylish victory in a 70Heat before rattling hoe from gate 7 in the Final for 2nd behind TARGARYEN. The improved gate aids his chances.

TIMS A TROOPER (4) made up plenty of ground in the Derby to grab 4th when 9m astern of his illustrious stablemate which followed a luckless run in the SE Derby from gate 7. He will be in the money.

TEDDY FEELS GOOD (1) has the speed to be the early leader and that will then avail the options thereafter. A winner from the second line five runs back, poor gates have been his nemesis in the four runs since.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (7), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2), TIMS A TROOPER (4), TEDDY FEELS GOOD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 7 / 1-2-4-8

RACE FIVE

LANCELOT BROMAC (8)
eased from gate 6 last start to settle near the rear of the field before launching a closing raid. Attacking the line with gusto, he was just 1m in arrears of the winner in claiming the silver. Just a half-neck away two starts back when charging home, he has the second line options too issue throw it down.

SHESA POCKETROCKET (5) found suitable conditions from an inside second line gate here four starts back and when finding open road, charged hard to take the prize. Placed at each of her next two starts including in Saturday mare’s grade, she was too far back last start against the tempo. In this line up, she can challenge.

CIRCLE LINE (2) was a starchy winner last start when sitting parked over the Redcliffe sprint trip and grafting out a half-head victory. Working home strongly wide out after retreating from a wide gate the start prior, he has claims here.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (1) was runner-up here three starts back when doing it the tough way as IM LOKI put the power on in front. He finds conditions to lead here and that can make all the difference.

SELECTIONS: LANCELOT BROMAC (8), SHESA POCKETROCKET (5), CIRCLE LINE (2), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LANCELOT BROMAC (8) to win

RACE SIX

It appears to be hit or miss for HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (3) in recent starts and after a miss last time, she can look for the bounce back hit. A winner four starts back when stepping safely to the front, she was a miss next start at the mobile. Back with a win when finding the front at her next attempt, she finds the conditions to arrive.

KAR MANOR (8) started from the 20m tape last start where he settled back in the field. Making a wide and sweeping challenge in the closing stages, he attacked the line with power to cruise past and claim a 3m winning margin. Just a head away two starts back, he can throw it down again here.

MILLY AN EYRE (1) was safely away from the front tape last time out and was trying to pinch it through a strong closing 800m split. Collared in the closing stages to be 4m from the winner, she will give cheek again.

RILEY MOMENT (5) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to make a play but could only manage a midfield return when 8m adrift of the winner. Making an error from the mobile two starts back, she cannot be underestimated in this.

SELECTIONS: HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (3), KAR MANOR (8), MILLY AN EYRE (1), RILEY MOMENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (3) to win
