RACE ONE

Taking further benefit from his latest appearance where he was second up from a spell, WILL THE WIZARD (6) can look to overcome the tough gate. Eased from gate 7 when resuming, his closing splits were sizzling from back in the pack. Chasing BLACKSADANCE last week after taking the sit, he can look to cash in.

CRUZ BROMAC (7) makes his first appearance for Shannon Price, with the millionaire 10YO looking to wind back the clock. Sound in two appearances during the carnival, he has been to the trials where he was only taken off a helmet in the last 100m, finding the line in smart fashion. The gate stings his challenging chances.

MACH DA VINCI (5) pressed on from gate 6 last time out at this trip and taking control was looking to see it out. Collared in the stretch in a blanket finish but just 1m from the winner, he can press on here to look for the front.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (11) had been sectionally superb for an extended period and looked like he may have just forgotten how to win. He changed that last start with a gritty effort to score in near career best time and can be joining in here.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (6), CRUZ BROMAC (7), MACH DA VINCI (5), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (11)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (6) to win

RACE TWO

Heading into his last assignment fresh up since June LOVE YOUR WORK (6) was sent straight to the front from gate 1 over the mile. After a steady opening half, he was able to dial it up and put it out of reach of the chasing pack with a 54.4 closing half. With the added fitness, he can defy the wide gate.

JENDEN STRIKE (3) had been trying to breakthrough for a qualifying victory for some time and finally achieved the win last start when overcoming gate 7. Snagged back in the early stages to secure position, she came home hard to arrive with a half-head to spare. From this gate she can repeat.

MISTERY ROAD (8) was building towards a victory after a pair of eye-catching efforts and franked that assessment with a starchy win here last week at the mile. He will be searching for the openings.

OBI ONE (5) has been consistent this campaign and brings a last start 2nd to this battle. Taking a closing shot to be under 2m from MAKE MINE MEMPHIS, with even luck he can feature.

SELECTIONS: LOVE YOUR WORK (6), JENDEN STRIKE (3), MISTERY ROAD (8), OBI ONE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LOVE YOUR WORK (6) to win

RACE THREE

Shooting for a hat-trick of Saturday night victories, DANCE IN THE SUN (1) has landed the perfect gate to chase it down. Charging home after starting from the second line last time out, it followed an all the way effort from this same gate. With all the options, she can capitalise for the threepeat.

THREE IN HEAVEN (2) should relish the conditions here and has the added bonus of further fitness following two runs back from a freshen. Beaten by the draw in a small field tactical battle last start behind UNCLE SHANK, he was just a lip short of the prize two starts back when fresh up. He can throw it down.

LITTLE BOLT (8) was hemmed away three back on the poles here last start before making some nice metres in the closing stages behind LOVE YOUR WORK. A similar trip here can see a similar return.

BOMBADIER JUJON (3) has been kept fresh since his last outing when down the line behind DELIGHTFUL DUDE after copping gate 7 over the 2138m trip. He may need to roll the sleeves but has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (1), THREE IN HEAVEN (2), LITTLE BOLT (8), BOMBADIER JUJON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (1) to win

RACE FOUR

With a splendid record over the mile here at headquarters, the speed machine UNCLE SHANK (3) lands the gate to go in search of a hat-trick. Pressing forward at the 1000m to take control last start, he put it out of reach of the chasers with a 53.3 closing half. The threepeat is on.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) started from outside the front line last time out where he was sent forward to sit parked and was game in defeat when just 4m away and holding 3rd. Runner-up two starts back when making a closing dive to be just a head from UNCLE SHANK, he can challenge again.

ONE BIG SHEW (10) has been super in Qld this campaign, claiming a strong win two starts back in his heat for this Final. A sharp winner here on Tuesday from the front, he can work home off the speed.

KASH US BACK (2) is on the back-up from Tuesday where he was third up from a spell, so he should tighten from that effort. Wide gates at his first two runs back hampered his chances and the chance to be in behind the speed here is a plus.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (3), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6), ONE BIG SHEW (10), KASH US BACK (2)
SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE SHANK (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Securing the perfect trip stalking the speed here last start from inside the second line, BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4) darted into the passing lane and had the closing speed to arrive over the mile last start. That made it 3 wins from his past 4 starts including a tough win when sitting parked from the second line and this looks within reach.

GOOD AS IT GETS (3) was sent to the post in red figures last week from gate 3 at the mile where he lacked the hustle to find the pegs before receiving the 1x1 trail. Unable to go with them and settling for 2nd behind MISTERY ROAD, it followed a 2nd to FALCONS two starts back. The 2138m is in his favour.

MAJOR JAROD (2) changes barns to join the Stephen Cini team and lines up here after holding on for the bronze in the 4YO Triad behind BIG WHEELS last week. From this gate he has podium claims.

SO AM I (8) found them too slippery last start despite a cosy trip behind the speed as HY VOLTAGE arrived for the prize. A neck away over this trip four runs back, he can be searching for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4), GOOD AS IT GETS (3), MAJOR JAROD (2), SO AM I (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4) to win

RACE SIX

Tackling a second division mare’s qualifier last start from the second line, GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (4) had the right trip to power home in the closing stages for a winning margin of a head. Beaten behind subsequent winner JACCKA WALLY the start prior, she will need to step up again here with a strong tempo will be in her favour.

AUNTY BELLA (7) is the testing material after claiming the Triad mare’s Final here last week as the lone runner off the second line. Put into the contest in the middle stages, she rolled the sleeves and was too tough to the wire, pulling clear of her rivals to claim a 10m margin. She can tough it out again.

WEEWAH (8) is on the back-up from Wednesday night where she held the front but was unable to see it out. Back to mare’s only company and with the second line options, she can chime in.

PARKED IN HEAVEN (3) started from the second line at Redcliffe last time out and owned superior closing speed to arrive for the prize. This is a step up but settling handy can aid her chances.

SELECTIONS: GUNNA NEEDAMARGARITA (4), AUNTY BELLA (7), WEEWAH (8), PARKED IN HEAVEN (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Making his first appearance in the Ron Sallis silks last start following crossing the Nullarbor, MUFASA (6) sat rearward from gate 10 over the mile. Making a three-wide solo trip from the 700, he put the nose in front when they swung for home, but just peaked late when 2m astern. Fitter for that run, the gate stings but he can roar.

ITZ MAJOR RICH (3) showed the necessary hustle to hold them out from gate 1 last time out and pinching a pedestrian 32.2 second split was able to fight them off to take a head margin. Fitter again now that he has been to the track three times since having a let up, he can be forward to challenge.

ISOLATION (1) was a winner when starting deep into the sauce at Redcliffe three starts back, sent forward from gate 4 and putting them away with a slick closing half. A gritty 2nd last start when beaten a head, he has the options to feature.

SCOTCH EN ICE (4) found the front in the early stages last start before handing over to BIG WHEELS and then was best of the chasers to hold the silver. He can get forward from this gate and has solid claims.

SELECTIONS: MUFASA (6), ITZ MAJOR RICH (3), ISOLATION (1), SCOTCH EN ICE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MUFASA (6) to win

RACE NINE

Beaten by the outside second line gate last start TORQUE LIKE MOTION (8) was not helped by the fact she was clashing with Australia’s premier 2YO filly in JEWEL MELODY in last week’s Triad Final. Going into that battle first up, she will strip fitter and with the second line options, she can arrive.

MY ULTIMATE JACKO (5) secured the ideal trip in the boys Triad and finished a half-head in arrears of the winner FOR REAL LIFE. Firing in a protest that was dismissed, he will take benefit from the run which was his first for the Butler stable. Despite a sticky gate, he can challenge.

THE TAX CULLECTOR (7) struck trouble in the Triad heat that saw him out of play and miss the Final. Taking on older horses instead last start, he stalked the speed before making the closing shot a winning one. The gate dents his chances.

ARKIN WICKED (3) will be second up after a winning debut at Redcliffe. Going into that first up run off the back of a tidy trial, he will take race experience from the outing and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (8), MY ULTIMATE JACKO (5), THE TAX CULLECTOR (7), ARKIN WICKED (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE LIKE MOTION (8) to win

RACE TEN

With a solid record from the mobile, SIR FAHRENHEIT (6) will be looking to turn his campaign around here after finishing at the tail in his past two attempts. Fading after being sent forward from this gate to sit parked last start, he made an uncharacteristic error two starts back from a 30m impost. This race is not as deep as his recent outings and looks the ideal chance to bounce back.

FATHER CHRISTMAS (3) pressed on here lasty time out over the 2138m trip to take control and once in front was able to see it out with a 5m margin in hand. A model of consistency in recent weeks, he has hit the board at his past six in succession and can get forward to throw it down.

KING OF THE NORTH (2) started fav in a mid-week contest last start and struck trouble in the run after being sent to the post as favourite. Beaten in red figures when stepping up to this grade two starts back, the mobile conditions should suit.

MORE SHADES OF GOLD (7) was second up from a spell last week when settled on the inside from the 10m tape. Making some closing metres to grab 3rd, his mobile record is solid, and he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: SIR FAHRENHEIT (6), FATHER CHRISTMAS (3), KING OF THE NORTH (2), MORE SHADES OF GOLD (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR FAHRENHEIT (6) to win
