Racing Queensland advises that following a track inspection and horses being galloped wider on the track (from the 1700m starting point) it has been deemed unsuitable for racing on.
As a consequence, and in the interests of rider and equine safety, it has been deemed necessary to amend the distances of races 1 and 7.
- Race 1 - Maiden Plate was 1700m, is now 1350m; and
- Race 7 – Benchmark 65 Handicap was 1700m, is now 1350m
Due to the distance changes, there will be no scratching fees applicable for these races.
Please note that horses accepted in these races can nominate for any race where acceptances have not been taken.
As a result of the changes, the potential programming of alternative racing opportunities within the next week will be considered.
All other races on the program remain as have been previously programmed.
