RACE ONE

FAIREACHDAINN (1) started from inside the second line two starts back and using the passing lane was just 3m from the winner ROCK IT BABY. Eased from gate 4 last start to find the inside, she owned superior closing speed to arrive via the lane and lands all the options to capitalise.

ZARAS A TREASURE (3) was on the short back-up last start when forced to ease from a wide gate at Marburg to settle rearward and then unable to get into the contest. An all the way winner from this gate over the 2040m trip two starts back, she has the hustle to fire the early bullets to challenge.

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (4) fired off the arm from gate 2 last start and was looking to take them all the way when collared in the last strides to be a half-neck away. The gate is tricky, but he can feature.

CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (8) found the 1x1 trail last start but could not get near them in finishing 7m away around the tight Marburg circuit. A winner here two starts back, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: FAIREACHDAINN (1), ZARAS A TREASURE (3), CHEDDAR MADE BETA (4), CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FAIREACHDAINN (1) to win

RACE TWO

COURAGEOUS SAM (4) burrowed through from gate 1 last start to hold them off and was looking to take them all the way when unable to repel the challengers and fading to 4th when 8m in arrears of the winner. That was tougher opposition than he faces here and while he may need to roll the sleeves, is up to the challenge.

INDY JEWEL (8) made the most of gate 3 ere last start when firing out to take control and from the front pulled clear to take a 9m margin. That was just her 2nd career win and first this season after 20 attempts and with that confidence can look to make a challenge in an open contest.

VODKA EN ICE (5) should take further benefit from his latest appearance where he was second up from a break. Finding the 1x1 trail when chasing as ZARAS A TREAURE arrived, the gate hurts here.

OUR BOY ROY (2) was a winner here two starts back when utilising gate 1 to his advantage to take them all the way. Striking trouble last start, he can look for the bounce back factor.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS SAM (4), INDY JEWEL (8), VODKA EN ICE (5), OUR BOY ROY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAM (4) to win

RACE THREE

OYSTER STRIDE (4)
is chasing a hat-trick of wins at the track and trip after claiming victory in the past two weeks. Taking them all the way here two starts back in claiming a 1m margin, he retreated from this same gate last start before charging home over the top to score. With good tempo the threepeat is on.

MISTY CREEK (6) has not been seen since the Triad Final where he copped the wide gate and then was forced to retreat for position as CAPTAIN SHUFFLES dictated in front and put it out of reach of the chasers with a slick closing half in front. The gate stings again, but he will be throwing it down.

FIRE AND ICE (1) should secure the right trip from this gate and has the options to decide the early position. A winner here four runs back when easing from the gate before closing strongly, he will be searching for the openings.

THE SPORTZ STAR (5) started from inside the second line last start and was soon buried away before chiming in for 3rd. Sound to the line in a slippery 1.55.4 mile claimed by ISOLATION, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: OYSTER STRIDE (4), MISTY CREEK (6), FIRE AND ICE (1), THE SPORTZ STAR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OYSTER STRIDE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

TEACHERS PET (2)
did not have the hustle to hold the front last start from gate and then could not get going over the closing stages. That was her first run in four weeks so should take benefit from the outing and reunites with Nathan Dawson who has an amazing strike rate aboard the mare.

CALL ME TRISH (3) has hit the board at her past four in succession which includes a win here two starts back when finishing best to take a 2m margin. Working hard in the run last start when sitting parked and gripping on for the silver, she can be close enough to throw down the challenge again.

MY SECRET BEACH (6) is in nice touch and lines up here with 3 wins in his past 5, the past two in succession. Taking the all the way from gate 2 in his last two wins, he can defy the tough gate.

TRACER BULLET (7) has been thereabouts with placings in 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest when runner-up along the passing lane behind FAIREACHDAINN. He looks in danger of being buried.

SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (2), CALL ME TRISH (3), MY SECRET BEACH (6), TRACER BULLET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TEACHERS PET (2) to win

RACE FIVE

CLARES FOOL (3)
has found solid form and added another victory here last start when sent to the front and fighting them off took them all the way. Both placed runners subsequently won at Kilcoy over the weekend and with four straight wins to his name, can look to make it a handful.

ABBEY DIADEMA (2) was chasing down a hat-trick of wins here three starts back when finding the line in nice order to be just 2m from the winner but finishing 5th in a blanket finish. Second line draws at her past two have not helps and with her best alley in some time, she can challenge.

KOTARE ELITE (1) might just hold the keys to this contest, possessing good gate speed and normally utilising a good gate when it comes along. Fitter after one run back from a break, she can feature.

DOOLITTLE DANDY (4) was buried in the run at Marburg last start but found a way clear and attacked the line smartly to claim a half-head margin. Just 5m away the start prior, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (3), ABBEY DIADEMA (2), KOTARE ELITE (1), DOOLITTLE DANDY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (3) to win

RACE SIX

ALLY PINK (2)
was first up for the Veivers stable last start when taken to Marburg. Taking control from gate 1, she was trying to take them all the way, but was collared in the closing stages to be a half-neck shy of the prize. From this gate, she again looks the leader and will be gripping on.

AROONA (3) started from gate 2 last start and settled in the running line was unable to warm up over the closing stages. Midfield the start prior when chasing the flying CLARES FOOL, he is only steady off the arm and can tuck in behind the action here, ready to make a closing challenge.

WAVEDANCER (4) might just have forgotten the secret knock to the door of victory, finishing as the runner-up in 4 of his past 5 as he edges towards 12 months without a victory. Just a half0head away last time, he can feature again.

MUSTANG DUDE (1) was a winner here over this trip three starts back when finding the front and dictating a 7m margin. With all the options from this alley, he can be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: ALLY PINK (2), AROONA (3), WAVEDANCER (4), MUSTANG DUDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  ALLY PINK (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

SIGNOR JUJON (7)
has only found himself in the position behind the leader on limited occasions but that just could be the mapping on offer here. Eased to the fence from gate 3 over the AP mile last start, he was unable to get warm in the closing stages in a stronger contest. He can snipe here.

ROCCO VARIETY (1) started from this gate last start and after holding up early, released the front when OUR FRIEND continued to apply pressure. From the trail he held on to grab the bronze, finishing 6m from the winner. Claiming the prize here four starts back, he has the gate to challenge.

OUR FRIEND (6) has the ODM embargo and last start from the wide alley was sent forward at this trip and pressed on to the front. Unable to see it out when 3m away in 2nd, he can look for a repeat.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (2) angled to the inside from a second line alley last time out and searching for gaps was 5m in arrears of the winner. Settling handy from this alley, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (7), ROCCO VARIETY (1), OUR FRIEND (6), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

THE MACH ARMY (1)
will be having his 3rd Qld appearance and lands his best gate thus far. Forced to retreat last start at Marburg to secure position, he found the line strongly over the closing stages to finish 5m from the winner in a midfield position. He can burrow through to take his chance.

KIMMIK (7) will strip fitter following her latest outing where she was returning from a spell. Eased from gate 4 at Marburg to be back in the pack, she found the line smartly to be under 5m from the winner FLY CHEVAL. With the economical trip, she can be searching for the gaps to challenge.

BERTILS FIRFOX (8) has been hitting some nice areas and lines up here with 3 wins from his past 4 starts. Normally better suited in front, he powered home from back in the pack to score last start and can sneak away with this with the right trip.

DARBY BRIGHTS (9) has the best credentials in the race but will need to overcome the tough gate. Trailing them home last start at the 2040m trip, he can take shortcuts to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: THE MACH ARMY (1), KIMMIK (7), BERTILS FIRFOX (8), DARBY BRIGHTS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE NINE

GAME KEEPER (2)
fired off the arm from gate 4 to find the front here last week and was rolling along in front. Grabbed in the closing stages, it was MY GIRL BLAZE with an easy trip that was able to get past and deny his first win. From the gate in this line up, this looks his chance for the breakthrough.

AKERMANIS (7) was having just his 3rd career start last time out and despite still being green where he was running about and having a good look about, he did manage to be the first past the post in sailing down the outside. Subsequently losing the race in the inquiry room, he can challenge again.

DESTINY BLUES (6) has been at the tail of the pack at her past two starts and is given no favours again here from the outside paint. Limiting the mid-race work will aid her chances.

TORI BE (3) has been at the tail of the field more than she has been closer to the action but has been freshened since her last appearance. Back in the main draw after being on the ODM embargo helps.

SELECTIONS: GAME KEEPER (2), AKERMANIS (7), DESTINY BLUES (6), TORI BE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GAME KEEPER (2) to win

RACE TEN

SHORT LEG SUE (1)
looked to have found her race last start for the account opener and after being sent out in red figures, found the front in the early stages and was able to dictate a steady opening half. Unable to repel MISTER DELWIN in taking the silver, she gets the chance to go one better.

CRADOCK (4) has had 15 attempts at the breakthrough but just keeps finding things to go against him or bumps into a better one. Last start from gate 7 over the AP mile, he secured running line position and was not too far from the winner. He can throw it down and it might just be sweet 16.

TRUE ORIGINS (3) eased from gate 5 last start and struggled to make ground in the closing stages as MISTER DELWIN took the prize. Beaten a lip two starts back against the older horses, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SHORT LEG SUE (1), CRADOCK (4), TRUE ORIGINS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SHORT LEG SUE (1) to win
