Whereyabinboppin books Inter Dominion ticket

Talented A Rocknroll Dance gelding Whereyabinboppin is the latest pacer to qualify for the upcoming Inter Dominion Championship in Victoria following his win in the Group 3 Sutton McMillan Free For All at Menangle.

The six-year-old led from the outset in quarters of 28.4, 29.4, 27 and 26.9 for a time of 1:51.7 for the flying mile. It was his third Group success on end.

No Win No Feed, the richest and fastest Australian bred-progeny of A Rocknroll Dannce, clocked 1:50 winning the $40,000 Alan Ladd Junior Memorial at Hoosier Park, Indiana.

A Rocknroll Dance was represented by winners in three different countries last week.

Besides Whereyabinboppin, other metropolitan winners sired by him included Big Wheels (1:55.8) and The Harris Hawk (1:56.6) at Albion Park, Master Publisher NZ (1:56.2, Gloucester Park), Im Lady Madeleine (1:58.2, Globe Derby Park) and Galaxy Dancer (Hobart).

A Rocknroll Dance also sired numerous provincial winners including the three-year-old Ideal Dance NZ (1:53.7, Wagga), Rocknroll Mama NZ (1:53.5, Newcastle), the Canola Cup heat winner Pas De Cheval (1:56.5, Cowra), Lopez (1:56.6, Yarra Valley), Island Rocknroll (1:56.7, Cobram) and Rosberg NZ (1:56.7, Newcastle).

A Rocknroll Dance, who stands at the new Somerset Farms in Queensland, of Pete and Chantal McMullen, is currently in eighth position on the Australian sires’ premiership. He has sired 148 individual winners and progeny earnings of $2.95 million.

He is eighth on the three-year-old list with 47 winners and $679,731 in progeny winnings.
