RACE ONE

Not much has gone the way of AWAYWEGO (4) since he claimed a heat of the 3YO Triad four starts back. After landing a second line gate in the Final dictated in front by CAPTAIN SHUFFLES, he then faced another second line alley when just 3m from the winner in a 51.4 mile. This looks his chance to make his own luck.

SO MUCH MORE (1) was second up for the Cini stable last start when landing gate 6 over the mile. Owning the best closing speed, he was able to descend on them for a narrow victory with a half-head to spare. His run two back was full of merit from the second line, and he can issue a challenge.

HIPSTAR (9) has placed in 5 of 6 since returning from a long break, the latest when asked to sit parked and holding on for the silver behind MOLLIESMARYELLE. The gate gives him podium claims.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6) faces a drop in grade for this contest after tackling the 90Final last start where LOVE YOUR WORK carved it out in front. Collared in the last strides three back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (4), SO MUCH MORE (1), HIPSTAR (9), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (4) to win

RACE TWO

A winner in this grade from the second line three starts back, KEY LARGO (9) is normally better suited out in front but was able to sweep home to score in that event. Grabbing 3rd behind APHORISM at his next start, he will be relying on settling handy early to make the closing raid.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (8) was thrown into the FFA event at his first Qld start two runs back and along the passing lane was able to grab the silver behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER. Back to old timers grade last start at the mile, he was able to arrive for a handy victory. He will be searching for openings.

TUAPEKA GLORY (2) found the fence last time out from gate 3 and with cover was then able to dart through along the passing lane to grab the prize. A similar set up can see him make a play.

WARFARE (6) made the most of the ability to take control two starts back and from the front was able to dictate to a 7m margin. Runner-up to BIG WHEELS last time out, the gate stings for this.

SELECTIONS: KEY LARGO (9), SWAGGIE SHANNON (8), TUAPEKA GLORY (2), WARFARE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: KEY LARGO (9) to win

RACE THREE

Slowly pressing towards another victory, CANT BLUFF YOU (1) might have found the right set up here to capitalise. Just 4m in arrears last time out, he could have been closer with a smoother passage. Placed in 3 of his past 5, he has all the options for the right trip to play a winning hand.

BACKINTOWN (3) eased into the 1x1 trail last start at the 2138m trip when finishing midfield behind LADY AVANA. Eased to the rear two runs back before grabbing 3rd to PARAMA, he can press the button and look for the front here at the mile to throw down the challenge.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating to find position and then unable to get into the contest. Runner-up to SWAYZEE two runs back, he can chime in here.

SCOTCH EN ICE (6) secured the pocket trail last start and was trying to burrow through when grabbing the silver. Collared in the closing stages when charging over to lead from this gate three back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CANT BLUFF YOU (1), BACKINTOWN (3), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5), SCOTCH EN ICE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CANT BLUFF YOU (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Absolutely bursting to win a race, if BELLA BALL TERROR (8) can navigate the right channel as the lone second line runner, this is well within reach. Settling in the 1x1 trial last start when 2nd to TUAPEKA GLORY, it followed a similar return behind AUNTY BELLA when rattling home.

JENDEN STRIKE (3) always seems to bump into one just a little better on the night in recent months but has still been racing consistently, the latest when runner-up to her stablemate AUNTY BELLA. Doing it the tough way when parked and holding on for 2nd three back, she can challenge again.

SWAYZEE (5) pressed forward last start in a qualifier and was able to assume control at the mile and from there fought them off for a narrow victory. The gate makes the task tougher here.

SAGINAW (7) is given no favours from this gate, but he has been dealing with wide or second line gates consistently due to his poor manners. That has stopped him winning, including the latest where he charged home late to score.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BALL TERROR (8), JENDEN STRIKE (3), SWAYZEE (5), SAGINAW (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BALL TERROR (8) to win

RACE FIVE

Starting from this same gate two runs back, DOCTA FEELGOOD (1) was able to secure the cosy trip in behind the speed before finding the gap to make the closing shot a winning one. Beaten by a wide gate last start when retreating to secure position, he can be stalking the speed ready to strike.

TEAGAN BANNER (9) started from the second line last time out when trying to make ground in the closing stages and was picking off some late metres to be 4m in arrears of the winner. Forget his run two back on the grass, he placed his previous three in succession and can issue a challenge in this.

PARAMA (4) started from the second line here two runs back and was sent forward at the 2138m trip. Despite working, he pulled clear for a big victory. 3rd last start to SWAYZEE, he has claims again.

VANITY BAY (8) is yet to hit the board in 5 attempts here at The Creek but looks set to secure an economical trip in behind the speed from this gate. Taking shortcuts can see him grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: DOCTA FEELGOOD (1), TEAGAN BANNER (9), PARAMA (4), VANITY BAY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-4-9 / 1-4-9 / 1-4-5-8-9-10

RACE SIX

After some indifferent returns earlier in her campaign, AUNTY BELLA (6) has really sharpened up in recent times to win 4 of her past 6 starts. Finding the front last start and claiming a career PB, she was gritty in scoring when parked three runs back. The gate makes it tougher, but she is up to it.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7) is given no favours from the outside paint but should appreciate the conditions of this contest after facing FFA company at his past three starts. Slammed with a wide gate last start. He was sound to the line behind CRUZ BROMAC at this trip and can make his presence felt.

BOMBADIER JUJON (9) angled to the poles last start from the second line and chased hard as LOVE YOUR WORK carved out a sizzling mile in front. Holding on for the bronze, he can be chiming in here.

THE HIGH COMMANDER (1) lands the plum alley but faces a significant rise in grade to tackle this contest. Buried in the run last start from inside the second line, he is a place hope off a cheap run.

SELECTIONS: AUNTY BELLA (6), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7), BOMBADIER JUJON (9), THE HIGH COMMANDER (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  AUNTY BELLA (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Asked to dip his toes in the deep water under the conditions for this contest, LOVE YOUR WORK (2) arrives in a hot-streak of form. Carving out a power running 1.50.9-mile last time out, he broke 27 for the first and third quarters but was never in danger. Winning all three prior to that, he has the gate to take control and make a splash.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (7) cops the outside alley but is the class of the race and brings some handy numbers to the battle. Since returning from a freshen, he has been top-two in his four starts, the latest when breaking 54 and 27 for his last 800/400 splits. A winner at similar conditions two back, he looms large.

HITTHEROADJACK (1) finds the front line for the first time since crossing the Nullarbor, with his latest effort full of merit. With an interrupted passage yet still closing nicely, he can be probing.

WILL THE WIZARD (6) closed out his last campaign with successive wins but since resuming, it has been hard to gauge his form. He can take this at his best, but there may be too many questions.

SELECTIONS: LOVE YOUR WORK (2), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (7), HITTHEROADJACK (1), WILL THE WIZARD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LOVE YOUR WORK (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Yet to taste victory here on the big deck, a return to The Triangle last start was the catalyst for LUCKY NUTTER (1) to recapture winning form. Grafting out a tough win sitting parked from gate 5, it followed a 2nd here two runs back and she looks to have found optimal conditions to capitalise.

MISS VERSTAPPEN (4) was a Redcliffe winner four runs back after taking the trail from gate 1 and making the closing shot a winning one, just. Doing it tough when placed behind UPTOWN BEACHGIRL at her next appearance, her past two have been from the second line, with a return to the front in her favour.

DEBUTANTE PARTY (3) has always been a steady beginner so where she positions in the run here looks all important. Strong to the line last start after retreating from a wide gate, she is in the mix.

ONLY ONCE BITTEN (7) put up a smart effort despite throwing her chances away soon after the start here two runs back. Hitting the line in nice fashion last start from this alley, she can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY NUTTER (1), MISS VERSTAPPEN (4), DEBUTANTE PARTY (3), ONLY ONCE BITTEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY NUTTER (1) to win

RACE NINE

Starting from gate 5 at the 2138m last week and snagged back early for position, ESCALERA (6) was always facing mission impossible as the leader and winner BIG WHEELS ripped home in 26.4. Grabbing 3rd behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER two runs back, the gate stings but he is up to the task.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) has had three runs back from a break and finds suitable conditions here to issue a challenge. Beaten by gate 7 last start, he was trying to make late metres two runs back, but the tempo and speed were against him. He can secure the right trip to be a player in this.

MISTERFREEZE (7) started from outside the second line last time over the mile and was hitting the line in nice order wide off the track. Asked for an effort when parked two back, the small field helps.

SCOOB OPERATOR (4) will line up for Trent Dawson for the second time after finishing midfield last time, out of the same race as ESCALERA where BIG WHEELS dictated. He can fire some early bullets to feature in this contest.

SELECTIONS: ESCALERA (6), COMMODORE JUJON (1), MISTERFREEZE (7), SCOOB OPERATOR (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Having not reached the same crescendo he rose to last campaign, RED CASTLETON (9) has made nice inroads in his past two starts. Off 40m last time over the 2138m trip, he was strong to the line after angling across the pack for clean space last time. Off 20m here at the 13 furlongs, he can bounce back to some winning form.

KAR MANOR (5) started from 10m at the 2138m last time out and was sketchily off the mark and gave away plenty of ground. Chasing hard to then make a closing raid, he was only a half-head off the prize. There is no doubting the motor, but his manners are still questionable.

KING OF THE NORTH (7) has finished in the top-two in 9 of his 11 attempts on this deck, finishing as the runner-up at his past two. Pressing on to the front over the 2138m last start and collared late, he is in the mix again.

STRESS FACTOR (1) has a nice record at the longer trip and comes up with the front tape and inside lane to bolster his cause. A smart beginner when right, he can give some cheek here.

SELECTIONS: RED CASTLETON (9), KAR MANOR (5), KING OF THE NORTH (7), STRESS FACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (9) to win
