RACE ONE

Placed in all three career starts to date, FREE THINKER (2) looks to have found the conditions to secure the breakthrough. Pressing on from gate 5 to take control last start, he was able to grab the silver behind FAKE CULLECTION in smart time. A gritty effort when parked two back behind BORELLA, this looks his.

LUCKY JIM (4) was returning from a spell last time out when sent forward to sit parked in the small field. Feeling the pinch after the tough trip, he faded right out to trail the field home as the handy QUEENSLANDER took the prize. Provided that defeat has not had an adverse impact, he finds conditions to chase a bounce back.

WANDARY DELIGHT (5) settled in the trail last start at Redcliffe and when spotting space was strong to the line to grab the silver when just a half-neck from the improbable winner TACTICS ARE ROLLIN. She can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: FREE THINKER (2), LUCKY JIM (4), WANDARY DELIGHT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FREE THINKER (2) to win

RACE TWO

A small line-up for this veteran’s clash should help the chances for MISTERFREEZE (5) to return to winning form. Sent to the post as fav last start, he was trying to make a closing raid when finishing 7m from subsequent winner KEY LARGO. A gritty 3rd when 3m from ESCALERA two back can see him arrive here.

SAM IS PERFECTION (6) settled rearward last time from gate 10 and was making some nice metres over the closing stages to finish just 3m from the winner despite missing the money. Grabbing 3rd at the mile two runs back after again facing the outside second line, the chance to settle closer in a small field will be a big plus.

OUR MAJOR DAY (4) will take good benefit from his latest offering where he was resuming from a spell. Rolling forward from a second line gate, he was working hard to hold on for the bronze behind CARDLESFROMHEAVEN. He can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: MISTERFREEZE (5), SAM IS PERFECTION (6), OUR MAJOR DAY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTERFREEZE (5) to win

RACE THREE

A tricky contest here with just the small field which might just help the chances of HITTHEROADJACK (4) to land his first win in Qld. Backing up from Saturday night where he settled in the running line over the 2138m, when making a move soon after the 400, he struggled to eat into the margin as they ran it in 27 flat from the front.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (2) secured a cheap lead last start at Redcliffe from gate 1 where she then set a solid tempo out in front and made TEDDY DISCO earn the victory from the breeze in holding on for the bronze. A big winner out in front over this trip four runs back, she can throw it down from this alley.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (5) started from outside the second line over the middle trip last time out and after being angled to the inside, was fired up and unable to complete the course. 3rd behind LEAP TO FAME two back, he has been freshened and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HITTHEROADJACK (4), MOLLIESMARYELLE (2), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

First up from a spell last start and making his first appearance in Qld for Jack Butler, HOTEL KYVALLEY (6) returned a handy effort to hold on for the bronze. Sent forward at Redcliffe from the mobile to take control, he was nabbed late when 1m from the winner. Fitter and back to the bigger deck looks appealing.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) added another minor to her card last start as she continues to race in consistent fashion. Runner-up at her past three in succession, she was just a head away last time under mobile conditions and showing great manners of late can step safely to challenge.

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (8) backs up from a winning effort under mobile conditions here on Friday where she forced the issue to get to the front and then fight them off. Starting errors from the tapes at her first two Qld appearances prior to the win are a concern back to those conditions here.

MONARO MAKO (7) was first up in Aus last time out and sent to the post as fav. Making a play for the lead with a mile to travel, he threw his chances away when overreaching and galloping out of play. He can search for redemption.

SELECTIONS: HOTEL KYVALLEY (6), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), MY RUMOUR HAS IT (8), MONARO MAKO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HOTEL KYVALLEY (6) to win

RACE FIVE

Taking good benefit from his first run back from a spell, ARNOLD STREET (3) has the speed to look for the poles in this contest. Firing out to set the speed when resuming over the Redcliffe 2040, he was trying to hold on when finishing 6m from ALLAMBIE. From the gate he can take his shot.

REDBANK MOLLY (2) started fav last time from inside the second line and was soon angled off into the running line. Unable to reel them in when 9m astern of the winner BETTYS GOLD CLASS, it followed a 3m margin on this deck behind BETTING ORIGIN. Settling handy can see her challenge.

ASHLEE NITRO (5) has worked her way back into some form that has seen her finish with the silver at her past two at Redcliffe. Finding the line strongly last start to be 4m in arrears, she can chime in.

AUGUSTA HANOVER (9) faces a steep ascent from her last start maiden breaking win into this contest. Yet that first win at start two was an impressive effort when putting up a 35m margin which keeps her under a watch.

SELECTIONS: ARNOLD STREET (3), REDBANK MOLLY (2), ASHLEE NITRO (5), AUGUSTA HANOVER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ARNOLD STREET (3) to win

RACE SIX

Hitting the board at 6 of his past 7 appearances which includes a pair of wins, HIT THE TRACK (3) finds conditions to look for another victory here. Overcoming gate 6 at Redcliffe two runs back when descending on them late, he was just 4m away last start over the less preferred 2040 trip. He gets his chance again.

JAY TEE TYRON (5) has been runner-up a his past two at Redcliffe where he has started from gate 1 on each occasion. From the trail last start, he chased home behind JUST JOSHIN in a stronger contest than he meets here and if able to position cheaply from the middle of the line can issue a challenge.

WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1) was hemmed away last start and made some metres to finish midfield which followed a fading effort after leading them up two back. Freshened, her winless AP record after a dozen appearances is a concern.

JET FORCE (2) started from inside the second line at The Triangle last time out and was soon shuffled back before finding the gaps to get out and chase. Swooping late to score here three back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HIT THE TRACK (3), JAY TEE TYRON (5), WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1), JET FORCE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  HIT THE TRACK (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

On the back-up from Friday where he was under 3m from the winner, COPPERFIELD (2) finds the gate to look for victory. A winner here three runs back when sliding into the running line from gate 6, he was then luckless at his next start when snookered in the run. This looks well within reach.

ITS MR CLOONEY (5) started from outside the second line last time out at the mile where he was able to secure running line cover. Hitting the line in nice order for the silver behind ISOLATION, it was a sharp first up run. Stripping fitter for the appearance, he can be throwing down a challenge.

PARAVANI (4) should appreciate a return to the front line after his past two have been out the back. From inside the back last start he picked up some closing metres for 3rd and can fire some early bullets here.

MOHS EM DOWN (7) will need to defy the outside gate after his last start win in veteran’s grade. Finding the 1x1 trail and finishing over the top to claim that win, he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (2), ITS MR CLOONEY (5), PARAVANI (4), MOHS EM DOWN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

September and early October may show the numbers are not great for HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1) since his win here in late August. In that period he certainly has had some excuses, including some tough gates. Outside the front was his undoing at The Triangle last time and with the chance of an economical trip here can bounce back.

FAST TRACKER (5) was trying to make a closing rally last week at Redcliffe but ultimately came up 4m astern of the winner LITTLELIONELJAMES. Runner-up his previous four in succession, including a tough effort three back when sitting parked, the gate is tricky but he is up to the challenge.

CHAINLINC (7) eased from this gate three starts back to find running line cover and then when making her run, had the closing speed to arrive. Charging home last week at Redcliffe for 2nd, she is in the mix.

MISTER DIAMOND (2) put in a smart effort last start from gate 12 over the 2138m, making good metres over the closing stages to get within 3m of the winner. Just a half-head away here four back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1), FAST TRACKER (5), CHAINLINC (7), MISTER DIAMOND (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
