RACE ONE

Despite the fact he always looks a leading hope and has placed at greater than 60% this season and 70% on this deck, MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2) has just the solitary win in the past 13 months. Hitting the line smartly last start when 3m away, it followed a game effort when parked outside BIG WHEELS. He looks to get every hope here.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (8) was sent forward to take up the running last start in veteran’s company and from the front, led them deep into the stretch only to be collared in the closing stages. Powering over the top to score here three runs back, he can stalk the speed and be ready to strike.

OBI ONE (3) started from inside the second line last start and with the easy trip made full use of the passing lane to claim the 2138m prize. Positioning cheaply will be key to his podium claims.

ESCALERA (5) was a winner from gate 6 here two starts back when owning superior closing speed to take the prize. Collared up the passing lane when setting the tempo last time, he might need to work.

SELECTIONS: MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2), SWAGGIE SHANNON (8), OBI ONE (3), ESCALERA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2) to win

RACE TWO

He has been without a win for some a while now, but the efforts of BOMBADIER JUJON (6) in recent weeks have been full of merit. Eased from gate 5 last week, he was charging over the latter stages, breaking 27 on the way home when midfield. This race should generate some heat and he can make the closing raid.

TIZ A SIZZLER (10) is afforded no favours in chasing the hat-trick after wins at the middle and sprint trips at his past two. Pressing on with it last start to take control from gate 4, he was able to see it out with 1m to spare. Sent to sit parked from this gate two back, he will be looming large.

SAGINAW (7) did not have much go his way last start and went to the line without getting a crack at them. Unable to get into it with a sub 55 closing half set from the front the start prior, he can join in.

PARAMA (4) was beaten by the second line last start when left back in the pack and unable to get into the contest in the closing stages against the tempo. A winner in 3 of his previous 4, he can look for the poles.

SELECTIONS: BOMBADIER JUJON (6), TIZ A SIZZLER (10), SAGINAW (7), PARAMA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BOMBADIER JUJON (6) to win

RACE THREE

This race might generate some good pressure off the front line. Under that scenario if CANT BLUFF YOU (8) can hit some open space with momentum, he is up to the task in this grade. Chasing a hat-trick after wins at this trip and then the Redcliffe 2040m, he can stalk the speed for the threepeat.

AIR TIME (1) found the pocket trail here last week from gate 3 and with the right trip was able to close out strongest to take a 4m margin. Fading after working hard from gate 5 here two back, he was runner-up to MAJOR JAROD three runs back and has all the options to throw it down here.

HESTON ZOOLANDER (6) has only stepped out over the middle trip here once which resulted in a win here three starts back. Striking trouble at his next appearance, the gate makes it tough.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3) was left parked out last start from this same gate at the mile and with HY VOLTAGE rolling the power out in front, was left 6m in arrears. He will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: CANT BLUFF YOU (8), AIR TIME (1), HESTON ZOOLANDER (6), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-8

RACE FOUR

A winner here two starts back under mobile conditions at 2138m, HUMBLE LADD (6) missed a placing here at The Creek for the first-time last start. Unable to eat into the deficit from the 20m tape as IM THE COMMANDO led all the way. The gate makes it tough, but he can bounce back.

SUGARINSPICE (4) made an error from the tapes last time out when chasing down a hat-trick of victories. Returning from a long spell, she was a first up winner and backed that up from the 20m tape with a passing lane win. Her only attempt from behind the start car on this deck was a victory.

MAJESTIC HARRY (5) returns from a spell after placing in all three big trotting features during the Constellations Carnival where he was beaten 1m, a head and 3m. He may need the run but cannot be underestimated.

COCHY MALC (2) led them up over the middle trip two starts back but could not see it out when 4m from the winner HUMBLE LADD. Buried in the run last start, he has the gate to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HUMBLE LADD (6), SUGARINSPICE (4), MAJESTIC HARRY (5), COCHY MALC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HUMBLE LADD (6) to win

RACE FIVE

This looks a messy mare’s race where all the power looks wide or off the second line. A winner at 4 of her past 6, DANCE IN THE SUN (9) overcame the 2138m last start for the first time with a passing lane victory. Powering home from this same gate two back to score, she can take the closing shot.

CALA JANE (7) settled in the running line from gate 9 last week and when angled into open space had the closing speed to charge over the top and claim a big win. Asked to hang tough the start prior in the early stages when sent forward from this gate, she is up to the challenge.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (8) has been in super form and continued that here on Tuesday where she took them all the way over the 2138m. Likely to be snookered in the run, she will be searching for openings.

OAXACAN DREAM (6) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the lates when running UPTOWN BEACHGIRL to a head up the passing lane. 3m from AUNTY BELLA two starts back, she can fire some early bullets.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (9), CALA JANE (7), MOLLIESMARYELLE (8), OAXACAN DREAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (9) to win

RACE SIX

A smart first up winner from gate 6 in a mid-week battle at his first Qld appearance, LYRICAL GENIUS (5) can look to make it 2 from 2. Sent straight to the front in that race, he was never in danger in claiming a 3m margin. There is some speed to his inside so positioning cheaply will be key.

SLIP THE HUNDY (4) resumes from a spell after earning a rest after finishing 2nd to BETTOR ISOLATE in the Rising Sun Consolation last start. Setting the tempo in that battle, he put together a hat-trick of victories last campaign in his first three runs back. Fresh up without a trial, he can challenge.

CALL ME KEITH (3) was second up from a spell here last week when burrowing through from gate 1 and trying to take them all the way. Just a neck shy of the prize, he will be tightened from the run.

COMMODORE JUJON (1) is never too far from the action and from this alley should secure the economical trip behind the speed. Runner-up from this alley three runs back, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: LYRICAL GENIUS (5), SLIP THE HUNDY (4), CALL ME KEITH (3), COMMODORE JUJON (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  LYRICAL GENIUS (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Sectionally strong in recent weeks, CONVAIR HUSTLER (2) comes up with the right gate to convert his efforts into victory. Arriving down the stretch here three back, he followed that with a silver behind PARAMA. Beaten by gate 6 when retreating last start, he sizzled home with splits of 54.8 and 26.75.

IMA SOCIALITE (1) tackled a mare’s event here last week and with speed to her inside was left exposed and with no other runner to take the spot, was forced to do it the tough way. Holding on for 3rd two runs back in similar circumstances when left parked, she will appreciate the softer trip here.

SCOTCH EN ICE (4) was a qualifying winner two starts back when powering over the top from the second line to score in smart time for the 2138m trip. Midfield last start, he looms large in this ballot division.

FLO RYDA (5) faces a potentially sticky gate from the middle of the line. Making some nice metres last start to be 6m from the winner MAGICAL MAYA after being buried, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: CONVAIR HUSTLER (2), IMA SOCIALITE (1), SCOTCH EN ICE (4), FLO RYDA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CONVAIR HUSTLER (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Returning from let up last start SPEAK WITH SAM (3) was having his first appearance in six weeks. Moving around them at the 800m to slide up to the leader, he was in for the fight when 4m from the winner. He finds the right conditions to build off that effort and bounce back to winning form.

CAMROLLER (1) was large in victory last start when sitting parked for the first time in 87 Qld appearances. Despite the strong tempo over the Redcliffe 1780m, he was up to the challenge in claiming a determined victory. With early speed and the strength of the last start, he can challenge.

SAILALONG SINBAD (2) settled back in the pack last start from a second line gate at The Triangle where he made some closing metres to be 8m in arrears. Settling handy can see him in the mix.

BLACKJACK BART (8) was asked to sit parked last start from gate 5 and after the tough trip wilted over the latter stages. Grabbing the bronze two starts back, he will be searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: SPEAK WITH SAM (3), CAMROLLER (1), SAILALONG SINBAD (2), BLACKJACK BART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEAK WITH SAM (3) to win

RACE NINE

Buried in the run here last week, it was a tough watch for the supporters of ONLY ONCE BITTEN (8) who was sent to the post as the fav. Climbing all over the back of runners, it she went from the poles to five wide in the stretch and still never found a gap. With second line options, she can gain redemption.

CLOWNS TO THE LEFT (7) started from gate 6 last start where she was fired off the arm to find the front before taking cover. Unable to finish it off over the closing stages as CALA JANE powered home to arrive. Luckless in the run behind MISS VERSTAPPEN two back, she can get handy to challenge.

ITSMEGS (4) has been in super form since joining the Lachie Hart stable where she has been in the money at 7 of 8 starts which includes 4 wins. Too gritty last start when parked, she is podium hope.

REDBANK MOLLY (3) settled in the pocket trail on Tuesday and was best of the chasers behind ARNOLD STREET when 2m in arrears. Back to mare’s grade, she can be close enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: ONLY ONCE BITTEN (8), CLOWNS TO THE LEFT (7), ITSMEGS (4), REDBANK MOLLY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLY ONCE BITTEN (8) to win

RACE TEN

Showing improvement at each of her four starts in Qld, DEBUTANTE PARTY (7) has the outside paint to overcome but might just have the edge on her opponents. Working forward from the second line last start to sit parked, she was in for the fight holding on for the silver and can go one better here.

LONDON LADY (1) is undefeated since arriving in Qld with Gary Gerard going 4 from 4, with all her wins on The Triangle. This is a step up from what she has beaten but landing the ace gate and with white hot form, its hard not to entertain her podium chances.

MORESCO (8) turned her form around with a tough win at Marburg three starts back when sitting parked and grafting out the win. Under 3m from MISS VERSTAPPEN in grabbing 3rd two back, she has the second line options.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (2) started from gate 9 at Redcliffe last start and was trying to make a closing raid when only 2m from the winner. A beaten fav two runs back, she can fire the early bullets.

SELECTIONS: DEBUTANTE PARTY (7), LONDON LADY (1), MORESCO (8), HEAVENLY WISDOM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DEBUTANTE PARTY (7) to win
