RACE ONE

Putting the writing on the wall with some sectionally super efforts and eye-catching finishes, BOMBADIER JUJON (8) was able to frank that assessment here last week. Making the most of an improved gate after a string of poor alleys, he took them all the way at the 2138m trip. Sweating on lobbing leaders back, he can take snipe.

SAM IS PERFECTION (1) tackled open company last start where he retreated from gate 5 to find the poles and was sound to the wire as TURN IT UP dictated in front. Finishing over the top to win in mid-week company two starts back, he has all the available options to issue the challenge.

PACIFIC DRUMS (6) was returning from a spell last start off the back of a pair of electric trials when firing out from this gate to lead them up. Not sighted since that run, which was on September 10, he is in the mix.

BITCOIN (3) will take added benefit from his latest outing where he was third up from a spell. Starting from the second line when making some nice closing metres, he can be handy to the action.

SELECTIONS: BOMBADIER JUJON (8), SAM IS PERFECTION (1), PACIFIC DRUMS (6), BITCOIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Undone by gate 7 last start at the 2138m when forced to retreat, KEAYANG MARVEN (1) was trying to make a late raid when midfield to SOEXTRA. Asked to grind it out when parked from gate 4 here three starts back, he can burrow through and stalking the speed, take the snipers shot.

ROCK BOTTOM (5) chalked up another placing last start to make it four in the bounce in the minor money. The run was full of merit when sitting parked and fighting to the wire. He night just have the required speed to lead in this set up, and from the front would take plenty of catching.

RYANS GANGSTER (8) claimed a qualifying victory last start when securing the ideal trip in behind the speed before making the passing lane shot a winning one. Likely to be buried, he will be probing.

SCOTCH EN ICE (6) squeezed in behind the leader from two out on the second line last time out which made the difference in grabbing the silver behind BOMBADIER JUJON. The gate stings here.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (1), ROCK BOTTOM (5), RYANS GANGSTER (8), SCOTCH EN ICE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-8

RACE THREE

A return to a fence gate can work in the favour of WARFARE (1) to avail the options. Forced to work hard when parked last start from gate 6 and fading, he held on for the bronze behind UNCLE SHANK two back. Runner-up to BIG WHEELS from this gate four back, he gets his chance to capitalise.

INFATUATION (6) has been runner-up in both runs since returning from a spell. Eased from gate 5 last start, he was making a closing rally to be just 1m from the winner. Best of the chasers behind the speed machine UNCLE SHANK when resuming, the gate dents the challenging chances.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (10) continues to run some super races but is plagued by a low win percentage this season- claiming just 1 from 28. Large in defeat last start when first over, he can be rattling home.

OBI ONE (8) faded in the closing stages last week but was still not too far away after setting the speed in the early stages. With a cosy trip on offer this week, he can be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: WARFARE (1), INFATUATION (6), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (10), OBI ONE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WARFARE (1) win/place

RACE FOUR

Faced with the outside second line gate last start at the mobile mile, RED CASTLETON (1) settled rearward on the poles but was still sectionally sound int eh closing stages. A winner from 20m here three starts back when charging home, he is at his best on the poles and saved for one shot and with the big gate improvement, should get his chance to deliver a knockout.

VAN SANK (3) returns following a three start Menangle campaign that resulted in a last start victory where he took the full length of the long stretch to collar the leader and take a head margin at the mile. Runner-up two runs back when chasing late behind CALIGULA, he can throw it down.

MAJESTIC HARRY (9) will strip fitter following his latest outing where he was first up since the Winter. Left exposed in the wash up of the field sorting order, he toughed it out for a smart win. Tempo will be his friend for this battle.

HUMBLE LADD (7) started from gate 6 last start at the mobile 2138m where he was sent forward. Taking control from the 1800m, he was then given the stink eye in the run, fighting hard to the line when 2m in arrears. The gate stings at the mile.

SELECTIONS: RED CASTLETON (1), VAN SANK (3), MAJESTIC HARRY (9), HUMBLE LADD (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (1) win/place

RACE FIVE

Returning from a spell in his heat FUTURE ASSURED (2) was working forward from gate 6 and eventually took control and with the tempo on throughout, was able to hold off the challengers for the narrowest of victories. A four-time winner this term, provided he handles the quick back-up, he looks mighty hard to stop.

TAKINGCAREOFBUSINESS (1) was not bustled early and eventually pressed on to take control in a strong 57.1 opening half, with the middle half in an equally sharp 57 flat. Looking under pressure turning for home, he dug in for the fight, lifted himself and took the prize. He has all the options.

SPEED DATING (8) was shuffled back along the inside in the run before she was rattling home hard along the passing lane to get within an eyelash of taking victory in the heat. From leaders back or three poles, she will again be looking to for gaps.

TARGARYEN (11) was required to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way in his heat, sitting parked outside TAKINGCAREOFBUSINESS. Edging to the front, the leader rallied, and he was under 5m away. From outside the back, he will be wanting tempo.

SELECTIONS: FUTURE ASSURED (2), TAKINGCAREOFBUSINESS (1), SPEED DATING (8), TARGARYEN (11)
SUGGESTED BET: FUTURE ASSURED (2) to win

RACE SIX

2 from 2 since arriving in Qld with the Butler barn, SOEXTRA (7) will need to negotiate the outside paint, but that looks an impediment he can overcome. Charging home up the stretch to win at Redcliffe first up, he was too strong when parked at this trip last start. The threepeat is on.

BETTOR JIGGLE (3) was resuming from a spell last time out at this trip when left securing the 1x1 trail after 400m in a slow lead time. Despite racing against the tempo, he powered home over the top in a sub 55 last half to claim a smart victory. The added fitness aids his challenging chances.

GELDOF (2) will appreciate the improved gate after facing the second line two starts back when chasing down a hat-trick. ON the back-up from Wednesday night, he can force the issue early.

YEP GOT CHOOKS (9) could not cope last start when sitting parked as SLIP THE HUNDY delivered a clinic in front. A half-head winner from the pocket trail two starts back, he can press through to feature.

SELECTIONS: SOEXTRA (7), BETTOR JIGGLE (3), GELDOF (2), YEP GOT CHOOKS (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  SOEXTRA (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

Back from a hit-run mission that came up short in the Len Smith Mile last week, BLACKSADANCE (2) gets back to familiar surroundings this week. Breaking the track record for the sprint trip at his last appearance on this deck, he had to do it tough at Menangle and if taking no ill effects from the run and the travel home, can bounce back hard.

UNCLE SHANK (10) is afforded no favours from the second line as he steps up against the big boys for the first time. Putting together four on the bounce, he put on a power running display in front last start to stop the clock in 1.51.3 after a breathtaking 25.9 third panel. He will be off the track at some point, and it will be intriguing how he measures up.

TOMMY LINCOLN (1) eased from gate 5 last start and settled three back on the poles when chasing to be 7m in arrears of TURN IT UP. Holding the trail cheaply, the pegs can be the place to be.

WILL THE WIZARD (8) will be the beneficiary of the easy trip against the markers. A mixed season has presented but he has been sectionally sound and taking the short cuts home can look to grab some of the minor money.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (2), UNCLE SHANK (10), TOMMY LINCOLN (1), WILL THE WIZARD (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

A three-time winner on this deck, FAIRY TINKABELL (9) returns from a spell, but the pipes are primed and open off the back of a 4m margin in 1.49.6 at the Menangle trials. A beaten fav at her last start in the Ranji Bill, she was crowned the Queen of Hearts with success here two starts back when breaking the mare’s record and can add the Queen of The Creek to her CV.

OAXACAN DREAM (8) sat three poles last week as MOLLIESMARYELLE carved it out in front, angling off their backs swinging for home and owning superior closing speed to claim a 2m margin in a career PB. Likely to be snookered away again from this alley, if open track presents in time, she can throw it down.

GIRL FROM OZ (10) finished midfield behind TAY TAY last start in the NSW 4YO Mare’s Final after facing a second line gate and settled back in the pack. The right trail here can see her feature.

BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (1) will come into this fresh after her last appearance back in early September when down the line behind BIG WHEELS. A big winner four starts back, her next two were in FFA company with the gate a big asset against her own sex.

SELECTIONS: FAIRY TINKABELL (9), OAXACAN DREAM (8), GIRL FROM OZ (10), BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FAIRY TINKABELL (9) to win

RACE NINE

After a two-race campaign in Victoria RACY ROXY (9) returns to The Creek to chase success. A winner three starts back before the interstate trip, she was then 9m from JUST HOPE in a Vic Oaks Heat before finding the 54.1 closing half too slick in front as TOUGH TILLY scored. Back to this grade with a front line that has tempo, she can arrive.

MAGICAL MAYA (2) was driven hard when the arms folded but was unable to hold the front, however, was quickly back in control when sent around for a retake. In for the fight up the stretch when a half-neck from the winner ALAT REVELRY, she can be up on the speed again to challenge.

TIMS A TROOPER (6) was not entered to compete against his stablemate LEAP TO FAME through the Finals of the NSW Breeders Challenge after finishing 3rd in the Tamworth Heat. That was his last appearance on Sept 8, and he may be in need of the run.

UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (4) was super brave here last week when sitting parked against the older mares and only 4m away in a 51.7 mile. A strong winner in front three back, a return to her own age is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: RACY ROXY (9), MAGICAL MAYA (2), TIMS A TROOPER (6), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RACY ROXY (9) to win

RACE TEN

An open mare’s contest to close the card where there is an absence of any standout. WATCHFUL LADY (10) gets top billing despite the tough gate off the back of some tidy efforts, the latest when 3m from CLOWNS TOTHE LEFT when settled in the 1x1 trail. With the right trip and tempo, she can arrive.

SCENE OF TERROR (7) bungled the start last week from inside the second line and cops the ODM embargo as a result. Chasing hard to catch the pack and returning a midfield finish that was handy considering the circumstances, she can slide into a spot to issue a challenge in this set up.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (3) powered up off the gate to take control from gate 3 at Redcliffe last start and was able to repel them all in claiming a 5m margin. From gate 3 she can get forward to feature.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (8) returns from a NSW campaign where she progressed to the 4YO Mare’s Final when finishing at the rear behind TAY TAY. With an economical trip, she will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: WATCHFUL LADY (10), SCENE OF TERROR (7), HEAVENLY WISDOM (3), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCHFUL LADY (10) to win
