RACE ONE

The big query is whether INFATUATION (2) has the speed to get across to the front. In 16 starts on this deck he has been closer than gate 5 twice, crossed from the pole before winning up the passing lane and sitting 1x1 from gate 3 when BIG WHEELS went forward from 4. With three handy efforts since returning from a spell, he is up to this.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (3) was again unleashing some slick closing panels last week, grabbing the silver after starting from the second line. Placed at his past two in succession, he continues to finish off his races strongly and will be looming at some stage, his win record remains the big concern.

UNCLE SHANK (8) throws up more questions than answers for this race. Running the best 800|400 splits of the night last week when rattling home to be just 3m from BLACKSADANCE. The 2138m where he is 0 from 3 and the gate will see him earn it if he can arrive.

ROCK BOTTOM (9) capitalised last week when leading throughout from gate 5. Placed his four previous in succession, he can follow through to feature.

SELECTIONS: INFATUATION (2), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (3), UNCLE SHANK (8), ROCK BOTTOM (9)
SUGGESTED BET: INFATUATION (2) to win

RACE TWO

The early mapping here could get very messy but holding leaders back or even from 3 poles, GLENLEDI BOY (1) has the close out speed to arrive. Finding the line smartly from the running line last week when runner-up to ROCK BOTTOM, he can be tucked away here and just needs momentum when the gaps arrive.

ASHARK (3) makes the trip up from NSW and should relish the improved gate after a string of wide gates have tempered his performances of late. Owning good early speed, the battle for the fence could become very tactical in this front line set up. If he is first across, he will throw it down.

BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4) was chasing down the hat-trick last start when buried in the run from inside the second line. Taking them all the way from gate 4 two starts back, he can feature.

SAGINAW (12) was not suited when drawn off the ace last start and was soon snookered and never comfortable. Hoping the early speed is slick, he can be closing strongly off the track.

SELECTIONS: GLENLEDI BOY (1), ASHARK (3), BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (4), SAGINAW (12)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENLEDI BOY (1) win/place

RACE THREE

After starting his Aus career through the Peak of the Creek Series, BRIGADIERS SON (1) lands the gate to get on the board third up. Buried in his heat run, there was a bit to like in how he found the line before being left exposed and game in defeat in the final. He has the speed and the options.

HY VOLTAGE (6) returns from a two start NSW campaign where he tackled the Breeders Challenge series. Setting the speed before BETTOR ISOLATE peeled off his back in a 1.49.5 mile, he was again in front before wilting to midfield in the Final. He can dart across here to give them the target.

LITTLE BOLT (8) will be fresh since September where he grabbed the bronze behind MUMMYS BOY. Thee fence trip appeals here and with the economical trip can look to chime into the minor money.

COPPERFIELD (10) has the tough gate to negotiate, yet his recent efforts have been full of merit. Taking them all the way here two starts back at the mile in a career PB, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BRIGADIERS SON (1), HY VOLTAGE (6), LITTLE BOLT (8), COPPERFIELD (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BRIGADIERS SON (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Looking at the way last week’s trot feature played out, everything just went against MAJESTIC HARRY (4) from the gate. Towed out early behind the slow beginner KINGDOM COME, he was then left searching for gaps that did not materialise. From that race, he looks to have the most upside from the second up effort and if able to get across early, will get his chance for the golden ticket.

DOFF YOUR CAP (8) faces a tricky gate and might be looking to get away from the poles in the early stages. Starting fav in 3 of his 4 starts here at The Creek through the Winter, he claimed a DJA heat from the tapes from his 30m impost. If he can get off the inside cheaply, he will get his chance to challenge.

KINGDOM COME (1) never went around a horse here last week to charge through and grab the victory. He draws the fence again in a race where there will be tempo and there is nothing to suggest he cannot punch the poles into the money again at big odds.

VAN SANK (7) led them up here last week at the 2138m and was given no peace with a slick lead time and then a strong opening half. Fighting gamely into the stretch to be within 2m of the winner, he is given no favours from 7.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC HARRY (4), DOFF YOUR CAP (8), KINGDOM COME (1), VAN SANK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC HARRY (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Not learning much from last week’s mares feature and the winner of that event not competing here, dissecting it makes it even tougher. The visitors might just hold the key and SARAH ANNE (9) arrives from Victoria the winner of nine. Competing through some strong mare’s events at Melton in recent weeks, she is versatile enough to get the nod.

FAIRY TINKABELL (11) was returning from a spell here last week in the Queen of the Creek where she went to the post into the red from the second line. With a pedestrian opening half, she never got warm and finished at the rear. With most of her wins from the front, can she bounce back?

LITTLE BLISS (5) has blistering speed off the arm which gives her a good advantage to fire some early bullets. A smart winner from gate 8 at Menangle last time out, she looms large in this open affair.

JASPER (1) faces an ask here first up from a spell without a public trial. Runner-up to AUNTY BELLA last start in the mare’s Triad final, the gates is a big help here to get the cosy trip.

SELECTIONS: SARAH ANNE (9), FAIRY TINKABELL (11), LITTLE BLISS (5), JASPER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SARAH ANNE (9) to win

RACE SIX

Pressing on from outside the front-line last start to take control, SOEXTRA (1) kept them rolling over the middle trip with a slick clip. Only BETTOR JIGGLE off his back was able to get past as he held on for a 3m deficit. A winner at his previous two, the improved gate is all the difference.

KARLOO BRADLEY (8) started from gate 5 here last week at the 2138m and was obliged to sit parked for the tough trip as the tempo was solid throughout. Fighting hard as the lead pair pulled clear, it followed a tidy effort behind ANIMADO. Stalking the speed, he can be ready to strike.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (9) has been in consistent touch, placing at his past four attempts which have all been in this grade. A gritty effort when beaten a neck two back, the three fence trip appeals.

BETTORS HOPE (10) started deep into the red last start from gate 3 where he took the trail and then was too slippery up the stretch. With a smart trial since that win, he will be making a closing rally.

SELECTIONS: SOEXTRA (1), KARLOO BRADLEY (8), DOCTA FEELGOOD (9), BETTORS HOPE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  Flexi trifecta 1 / 8-9-10

RACE SEVEN

Out to defend his title and claim successive victories in this race, MACH DA VINCI (1) comes up with the gate advantage to chase he repeat. Finding top before releasing BLACKSADANCE last week in the sprint, he was a 2m 2nd when he just couldn’t reel him in up the lane. Again, all the options are in his favour to turn the tables.

BLACKSADANCE (9) pressed on to the front in the sprint last week and his stocks skyrocketed in the run when stealing a 30.8 second panel. Fighting them off up the stretch, he went into last week after the tough Len Smith run and the return trip to Qld. Back in familiar surrounds, he will need to make a move at some stage to issue the challenge.

TURN IT UP (7) took them all the way last start at the mile when claiming a career PB at the mile in 1.52 flat highlighted with a 54.9 closing half. Gate 7 is an ask despite his blazing gate speed, but if he can zoom across and then sit quiet, he can take his shot.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11) enjoys the middle trip and comes into this contest fresh up from his last performance when a half-head in arrears of CRUZ BROMAC. The cobwebs were blown free in a sharp piece of work at the trials, and he can be the swooper off the speed.

SELECTIONS: MACH DA VINCI (1), BLACKSADANCE (9), TURN IT UP (7), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH DA VINCI (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Settling in the 1x1 trail here last week from gate 10, WATCHFUL LADY (2) was trying to launch the closing raid but could not reel in the leader and winner THE MAHARANI. Just 3m away two starts back, the improved gate can be the catalyst for her cashing in.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (9) started from inside the second line last start where she was soon shuffled three back and searching for space. With a slow early tempo, she was 7m away when crossing the wire. A gritty effort when parked two back, this looks within her reach.

FAIREACHDAINN (1) lands the perfect gate and will have all the options. A winner at Redcliffe five runs back that was followed with three successive minors, her poor record here is a big concern.

SCENE OF TERROR (8) gains her spot back in the main draw after two starts with the ODM embargo. Eased from gate 7 last start and not getting into the contest, she will get a cosy trip here to feature.

SELECTIONS: WATCHFUL LADY (2), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (9), FAIREACHDAINN (1), SCENE OF TERROR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCHFUL LADY (2) to win

RACE NINE

In super form at present IMA SOCIALITE (2) was shuffled one spot further back in the running line from her second line gate when the field sorted order. Rattling home in the closing stages to grab the silver and run the winner TIMS A TROOPER to 2m, she can look for the poles here and against her own sex be hard to hold out.

RACY ROXY (1) was first up following a Victorian campaign where she missed the money in two outings, the second of those against the older mares in a race won by TOUGH TILLY. Just 5m from TIMS A TROOPER last week, she has the options to issue the challenge.

UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5) is given no favours from the wide gate again here and looks set to work in the run. Forced to cut a big mile when parked last week and holding 3rd, she will be up for the fight.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4) tackled a 70Final last start where she pressed forward from gate 5 and was forced to work hard parked out. Holding on for a gritty 2nd to HIPSTAR, back to her own age enhances her claims.

SELECTIONS: IMA SOCIALITE (2), RACY ROXY (1), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA SOCIALITE (2) to win

RACE TEN

A tricky little 3YO battle here with just the front line and the 2138m asking some questions. Drawn inside the second line in lasty week’s 3YO event, AWAYWEGO (2) was last on the home turn, with his last 200m a slick finish when angled from the poles to widest runner. He can get across early to look for the advantage.

FUTURE ASSURED (7) faces the outside gate and a lone placing from his two attempts at this trip. The expense of a 26.6 opening panel in the Peak of the Creek Final last week was too costly as he was brave in holding 3rd when under 2m from the winner. Despite the gate he can challenge.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (6) had two runs back from a spell through the Peak of the Creek Series, making some nice ground in the heat where he was first up. He did not receive the smoothest passage in the final and can feature in this.

ALTA REVELRY (3) was chasing down the hat-trick when showing the early hustle here last week at the mile before releasing. With no change of speed up the passing lane, he could not reel them in, with place claims looking best at the middle trip.

SELECTIONS: AWAYWEGO (2), FUTURE ASSURED (7), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (6), ALTA REVELRY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (2) to win

RACE ELEVEN

This small field is a Dixon v Turpin contest with the black and white represented boasting a 4-2 numbers advantage over the blue and purple. A newcomer to the Dixon stable is BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (4) who will be having just his second career start after a debut 2nd at Addington. With an impressive local trial against older horses, he can strike first up.

CHEER LEADER (1) has taken each step presented as she has progressed through the term, lining up here with four successive wins to her name. Pressing on from gate 6 last start and defeating the older performers in smart fashion, it followed a win from the trail. The options appeal.

WISPER A SECRET (5) zoomed over from gate 5 last start and dropped in for the trail with no lead on offer. Shouldering his way off the poles at the 500m, he could not reel in the leader and winner QUEENSLANDER in a last panel blitz. The gat makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (4), CHEER LEADER (1), WISPER A SECRET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (4) to win
