As part of the Queensland Government’s endorsement of recommendations from the 2015 MacSporran report, RQ has adopted Local Rules that now require all public training tracks to be registered and operated by a training track operator.

RQ is now registering public greyhound training tracks, ensuring a minimum level of facility standards to promote improved animal welfare.

There will be three levels of public greyhound training track, with varying minimum standards dependant on the level of training undertaken at the facility.

Each facility will undergo an inspection process to ensure minimum standards are adhered to.

This rule applies only to public training tracks, and does not include private training and club-based facilities.
