RACE ONE

THE WATERBOY (4) makes his Qld debut of the back of a sound trial at The Creek where he was sent forward in the middle stages and held on with relative ease. Placed in 2 of 5 before crossing the Tasman, he looks to have found a very winnable contest fresh up. He can do it.

OLLIE ONE SHOT (9) returns for a second campaign after being banished to the trials following his only race appearance and given some time off to coincide with the embargo. A beaten fav in that debut effort, he has since trialled in nice order and despite the tough gate, has some claims.

EXWHYGEETEE (8) has placed in 6 of his 13 in search of the maiden breaker, the latest when making late metres wide off the track behind VILLAGE SMIRKER. He can be in the money again here.

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (1) is yet to hit the board in 8 career appearances but has the benefit of the trailing fence draw here.

SELECTIONS: THE WATERBOY (4), OLLIE ONE SHOT (9), EXWHYGEETEE (8), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE WATERBOY (4) to win

RACE TWO

ROLLED IN GOLD (5) should relish the opportunity back in this one-win grade after tackling more experienced performers in recent outings. Midfield last start behind the smart 2YO ARKIN WICKED, the start prior she was not that far from MISS FERNANDEZ over the AP mile. This looks her chance.

BARROOM BLITZ (7) will need a slice of luck at some stage from the inside alley as she looks to find the gaps to issue the challenge. Not suited and wilting last start after sitting parked over the AP mile from gate 7, the start prior she was luckless when no run presented.

ESSENTIAL THREE (1) was buried three back on the inside at Marburg last start and chased hard behind the easy winner SIR BOSTON. With the benefit of the gate, she can grab a minor.

FEELIN FLIRTY (4) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up from a break for the new stable. 8m behind subsequent winner TELL ME THIS last time, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROLLED IN GOLD (5), BARROOM BLITZ (7), ESSENTIAL THREE (1), FEELIN FLIRTY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROLLED IN GOLD (5) to win

RACE THREE

SQUARE DEALER (1)
is the big winner following the marbles dropping and gets his opportunity after starting no closer than gate 5 at his past five outings. Beaten by the second line at Marburg last start, his run two back had excuses behind SAVING MAJOR PERCY. From the gate he can capitalise.

NO DOUBT (2) has hit the board in 7 of his past 10 starts and last time out when 4th was 4m from TARGARYEN in a 70Final. Under 2m from the flying SPEED DATING two starts back, he can settle close enough to the action to throw down the challenge.

LE TISSIER (6) features in a change of ownership and training, joining the Redcliffe based Donny Smith. Sectionally superb last start when rattling home for the bronze, the gate stings.

GOTTASHOPEARLY (4) is 2 from 5 on this deck for Tamworth trainer Richie Williams and comes to The Triangle after a large victory when sitting parked last start at Newcastle. He cannot be ignored.

SELECTIONS: SQUARE DEALER (1), NO DOUBT (2), LE TISSIER (6), GOTTASHOPEAARLY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUARE DEALER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

CLARES FOOL (1)
was back in winning form last start over the AP mile when taking control from gate 1 to lead throughout. Able to pinch a second quarter breather, there was plenty in reserve over the closing stages in taking an 8m margin. With the chance to burrow through, he looks hard to stop.

TEACHERS PET (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out at Marburg where she was then 8m from the winner JET FORCE which shouldered into open space at the top of the stretch. Taking benefit from the outing where she was returning from a freshen, she can be close enough to challenge.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) faded over the latter stages at The Creek last start, which had followed a tidy effort from the second line when holding the bronze. He can stalk the speed here to chime in.

GALVARINO (4) tried to take them all the way last start at Tamworth but could not see it out when a beaten fav and finishing 5m in arrears of the winner. Despite a tricky gate, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (1), TEACHERS PET (2), STUDLEIGH WILL (7), GALVARINO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

CHARLEVOIX (7)
was a Marburg winner two starts back when pressing forward from gate 3 to control the speed and take them all the way. Only 3m away last time again at Marburg, he looks set to follow a good beginner here and with the economical trip can be ready to take the snipers shot.

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (8) was angled down to the markers last start from gate 10 over the AP mile. Not receiving the cleanest passage to the wire when 7m inn arrears, it had followed a tough trip when sent to sit parked at Marburg from outside the front line. This looks within reach.

TALKERUP (1) should appreciate the improved gate after facing a string of wide gates as she searches for her first Qld victory. With all the options, this looks her best chance in some time.

WINDY HILL WALLY (5) is a newcomer to Qld, joining the State’s leading stable of Jack Butler. Last seen at Parkes when eased from a wide gate to settle back on the poles, he stays under notice fresh.

SELECTIONS: CHARLEVOIX (7), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (8), TALKERUP (1), WINDY HILL WALLY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE SIX

HEAR THE CALL (2)
was first up back in Qld for the Butler stable two runs back when rolling forward from gate 5 to claim a starchy victory over the sprint trip. Beaten when starting in red figures after again being forced to work second up, he can look to dictate from this gate.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4) was a winner here two starts back when eased into the running line from gate 4 and then owning superior closing speed to arrive right on the wire. Buried from inside the second line last time out, he never saw the gaps when needed and can challenge again here.

AWAYOVERNIGHT (7) will be requiring a slice of luck as he looks set be shuffled away from this alley. A winner in 2 of his 4 attempts here on The Triangle where both wins have been from the front.

ROCCO VARIETY (9) faced the second line at Marburg last time out and was trying to make a closing raid when finishing 4m from the winner. Another second line gate dents his chances.

SELECTIONS: HEAR THE CALL (2), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4), AWAYOVERNIGHT (7), ROCCO VARIETY (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  HEAR THE CALL (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

FEEL THE THRILL (2)
will take great benefit from returning to the front line after his past 7 starts have all been from the second line. At his best from the front, a position in transit that he has occupied in most of his career wins, he finds the chance to press forward here and take his shot.

KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (4) was luckless last start at Marburg when the gaps did not arrive after starting from inside the second line. Gate 6 was his undoing two starts back and three back he was outside the front line over the AP mile. This looks more suitable for him to issue a challenge.

FLY CHEVAL (9) started from the second line last time at Marburg and was strong to the line over the closing stages to finish 4m from the winner. With even luck she can be joining in again.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1) settled in the pocket trail from this gate two starts back, holding on for the bronze behind AWAYOVERNIGHT. With the cosy trip on offer, she can again chime in.

SELECTIONS: FEEL THE THRILL (2), KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (4), FLY CHEVAL (9), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FEEL THE THRILL (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROCLEA RULER (5)
was first up in Qld last start when landing gate 6. Sliding across behind the early speed, some neat steering saw him find the pocket trail and from there was able to hold on for the bronze when 3m in arrears. With added benefit, he can overcome the gate to cash in second up.

ILLBEWATCHING (7) was chasing home from the second line last start and went looking for inside gaps to be 8m form the winner TRACER BULLET. If he happens to land leaders back which is a possibility, he comes right into contention and even from three pegs can still throw it down.

FAVREAU (9) was chasing a hat-trick of victories last start when tackling a Saturday night contest and soon shuffled to three back from the inside gate. The second line dents his chances here.

MON BEL ANGE (1) was trying to muster passing lane power last start when 5m from the winner CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM. Luckless the start prior when first up in Qld, the gate is a big help.

SELECTIONS: ROCLEA RULER (5), ILLBEWATCHING (7), FAVREAU (9), MON BEL ANGE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLBEWATCHING (7) to place

RACE NINE

PAGO PAGO (7)
was chasing down a hat-trick of victories last start when asked to do it the tough way sitting parked. Grafting it out to hold on for 2nd behind the undefeated 2YO EXCITING TIMES, he was a passing lane winner two back and if he can get the passing lane with momentum can arrive.

SHAKATIE (2) fired off the arm at Marburg last start when looking to take them all the way but was collared in the last strides when JET FORCE got off her back in the stretch. Hitting good areas in recent outings where she has 2 wins and 4 minors in her past 6, she can throw it down here.

VERMONT (4) was trying to make a closing raid last start from wide off the track when finishing midfield. That ended a streak of six successive efforts in the money, with a bounce back on.

BELLA BRONSKI (6) is given no favours from the wide gate but has been a model of consistency in recent outings. Holding on for 3rd in a 2nd division mare’s qualifier last start, she can join in here.

SELECTIONS: PAGO PAGO (7), SHAKATIE (2), VERMONT (4), BELLA BRONSKI (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

NON PASSARE (3)
pressed forward from gate 6 last time out at headquarters and found the poles before releasing. Unable to go on with it thereafter to finish down the track, it had followed successive placings on this deck off the second line. The improved gate gives him every chance.

SHEZ GOT BLING (9) started from the second line last time out over the AP mile and was making late ground to grab the bronze behind ISNTTHATRIGHT. Eased from gate 6 the start prior and trying to make a closing raid, she looks to get the right set up here to issue a challenge.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (1) could not muster the speed to lead from gate 1 at Marburg last time out and then went to the line untested locked in behind the leader. He can be thereabouts.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (2) sat in the pocket trail last start from gate 1 when finishing midfield behind CHASIN DREAMZ. Better suited in this gate, he can be joining in late.

SELECTIONS: NON PASSARE (3), SHEZ GOT BLING (9), MELTON MAX GENTLE (1), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NON PASSARE (3) to win
