RACE ONE

SOLE AMBITION (2) was third up from a spell last start when starting from inside the second line he was soon buried back in the pack as they sorted position. Making nice metres over the closing stages in finishing 5m from the winner LE TISSIER. Despite being on a long win drought, he can capitalise.

GELDOF (3) tackled a second division qualifier on Saturday night when sent to the front from gate 4. Trying to fight them off in front, he was collared in the stretch to finish 3m from the winner, holding on for the bronze. Too far back the start prior here behind JACCKA WALLY, he can challenge here.

PARAVANI (7) has limited exposure here on The Triangle and will be racing against his preferred pattern from this alley. Making some nice metres for 3rd here three back, he will be probing.

B MAC C (4) has been sectionally super but just keeps finding conditions against him. Rattling home last start behind JACCKA WALLY, he is likely to be back in the pack again here.

SUGGESTED BET: SOLE AMBITION (2) to win

RACE TWO

ALLAMBIE (8) started from outside the second line here last time out and with an even tempo was able to charge over the top and claim a narrow victory. Doing her share of work in the early stages two starts back, she can be looking to get the cart into the battle and repeat the victory.

THE IRISH EAGLE (3) did not have the speed to hold them out here last start and from the pocket trail was able to hold on for the bronze behind JACKKA WALLY. Strong to the line to grab 2nd here two starts back when beaten a head, he can look to get forward to issue the challenge.

CHAINLINC (7) had gate 6 last time out where he was sent forward to do it the tough way first over. Unable to cope and fading to the rear, it followed a real eye-catcher. He will be probing here.

SUGGESTED BET: ALLAMBIE (8) to win

RACE THREE

MALINJANG (1)
was first up off a brief freshen last time out where he started from gate 2 and after having an early shot for the front that was denied, received cover from the 1300m point. Making a closing raid to be under 3m from the winner, the improved alley gives him the chance to capitalise.

ILLBEWATCHING (7) started from this barrier last time out and with the filed strung out early, was sent forward to get outside the leader. Fighting hard to the line, he made a closing dive to run the winner to a head margin. With the chance to be in the trail, he can issue the challenge.

MOTU CULLEN (8) started from outside the second line last start where he held on for the silver as ARTISTIC SAINT cashed in. Strong to the line wide off the track the start prior, he can join in.

SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE FOUR

JANG PEL (2)
was a winner here two starts back when sent to the front from gate 3 and once in control was able to see it out with a head to spare. Luckless last start when snookered against the poles from inside the second line, he can force the issue here.

GULMARG (1) eased from gate 5 last start to find position and was making some nice metres over the closing stages to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Beaten a head here three starts back when trying to take them all the way, he has all the options here to challenge.

GETALOADATHISBRO (9) was shooting for the hat-trick last start when finding the pocket trail from gate 2 and then never in the mix behind the tear away winner ARTISTIC SAINT. He is a place chance.

BETTING BARON (8) angled to the inside from this gate last start and with the three pegs trip was making a closing paly to grab the silver. He finds conditions to join again here.

SELECTIONS: JANG PEL (2), GULMARG (1), GETALOADATHISBRO (9), BETTING BARON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JANG PEL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

The first of six heats of the 2022 Qld Young Drivers Championships over three meetings and the early tempo should be genuine. MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) is a more than capable type off the speed and was a winner from back in the pack here three starts back. With the right tempo and pattern, he can arrive.

TULHURST CUDDLES (7) will be relying on some favours in the run from this alley, but if able to spot a gap with momentum, she can issue a closing challenge. Runner-up last start when sent to the post as the fav, she is a consistent performer and will be probing.

LIVING FREE (3) capitalised three starts back when taking them all the way. Runner-up in both appearances since that victory, he can get forward to fire the early bullets.

SCHOOBY (5) could not work into the contest last start when finishing in the second half of the pack behind STUDLEIGH WILL. A winner here three back, he can be thereabouts.

SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) to win

RACE SIX

SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1)
grabbed 3rd two starts back from this same gate when finishing 7m from the winner BOKHARI. Eased from gate 5 to find the running line last start, she was picking off some closing ground when again finishing 3rd. From the gate, she gets every chance to open the account.

SAINT JUJON (2) is a 2YO taking on the older opposition and comes into this off a 5th at her career debut behind SARASUN over the AP mile. Preparing for that with a handy effort at the trials, she can be close enough to the action to challenge second up.

ASH AND JO (4) is another 2YO up against older campaigners after a midfield finish last start behind MYDADSAID. Taking her first look at The Triangle, she is a podium hope.

GHOST TRAIN (8) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and was bets of the rest behind LOOKAT MEE. The second line is not ideal but he can be joining in to grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1), SAINT JUJON (2), ASH AND JO (4), GHOST TRAIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

HOLLYWOODBOUND (2)
presented a gritty effort when resuming from a spell here three starts back after being sent to sit parked from gate 5. In for the fight and finishing 4m from the winner, she made the most of her chances last start to take control and take them all the way. This is tougher, but the experience and confidence help.

AS SHE SAYS (5) was sent out as the fav here last week and from gate 2 was able to take control. Trying to fight them off, she was collared in the last stride, beaten an eyelash. Her previous form was against much stronger opposition, and she will again throw down the challenge.

YOGI (3) will be first up from a spell after his last start 2nd in the Triad consolation. A tough winner here three starts back, he comes into this without a public trial, and may just need the hit out.

THREE PARTS GREY (1) opened her account last start at headquarters when taking the trail from gate 1 as the field settled in single file order. Pulling clear for a dominant victory, she is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: HOLLYWOODBOUND (2), AS SHE SAYS (5), YOGI (3), THREE PARTS GREY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

AWAYOVERNIGHT (4)
has a pair of wins and a pair of 2nd placings in his five starts here on The Triangle. Pressing to the front from gate 3 here two starts back, he was able to see it out with 9m to spare. Buried last start from inside the second line, he can force the issue here to take the second young driver’s heat.

CLARES FOOL (6) made the most of the advantage from gate 1 over the AP mile two starts back and was able to pull clear to post an 8m margin. Beaten in red figures last start after trying to take them all the way from gate 1, he can press forward to issue a challenge.

THE CROM (1) should be able to secure an economical trip against the poles and be ready for the gaps in the closing stages to push for a podium finish.

SOULWRITER (9) took them all the way here four starts back and has placed at her past two. Buried last start in grabbing the bronze, she can be chiming into the money.

SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (4), CLARES FOOL (6), THE CROM (1), SOULWRITER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AWAYOVERNIGHT (4) to win
