RACE ONE

Divided conditions to open the night, meaning the firepower is drawn wide on the front and second lines. NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11) will need to overcome the extreme gate, but he is the class runner of the field and if sent forward in the middle stages or saved for one shot, can flex his muscle.

BOMBADIER JUJON (4) faces a step up in grade but has the gate to press forward to find a spot on the speed. Finding the trail last start and then holding the bronze as TIZ A SIZZLER carved out a 53.7 last half in front, it followed a 1m deficit behind MAKE MINE MEMPHIS and he can challenge again.

TOMMY LINCOLN (6) faces a task from the tough gate but has been thereabouts in recent starts, placing in 2 of his past 3 outings. Grabbing 3rd up the passing lane behind TURN IT UP last start, he is right in the fight.

DEUS EX (8) has been to the track on three occasions this campaign off the back of an extended trial build up. Working home wide off the track for 3rd behind MANILA PLAYBOY last start at Redcliffe, he will be searching for open space to offer.

SELECTIONS: NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11), BOMBADIER JUJON (4), TOMMY LINCOLN (6), DEUS EX (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (11) to win

RACE TWO

Runner-up in both starts since returning from a let up, SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (11) pressed ahead last start in the Redcliffe Xmas Cup, setting the track record tempo when holding on for 2nd behind MANILA PLAYBOY. Despite the awkward gate, the tempo looks right for him to descend on them.

CAPTAIN NEMO (2) was sent around the field to sit parked with 1000m to travel last start and then with a 27 flat back stretch sizzler, looked to be under sufferance. Digging deep he was coming back on the line to run TARGARYEN to a half-head. With the improved gate, he can throw it down again.

LYRICAL GENIUS (1) was crossed in the early stages before moving out for the retake last start and then fighting them off to score. With the options available from this gate, he is in the mix.

BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (9) grafted out a determined victory last start at the mile when sent to sit parked. Grabbed in the last strides by an airborne TARGARYEN two back, he can trail through early.

SELECTIONS: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (11), CAPTAIN NEMO (2), LYRICAL GENIUS (1), BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (11) to win

RACE THREE

An intriguing veteran’s race with the change of season seeing five newcomers to the 7YO and older conditions. Sectionally superb in recent weeks, BETTOR JIGGLE (5) was rattling home wide off the track last start when 2nd to LE TISSIER after starting from gate 7. 3rd to TARGARYEN form gate 12 the start prior, this is within reach.

ESCALERA (6) I another newcomer and will appreciate this grade after contesting the FFA races in recent starts. Forced to roll the sleeves and sit parked last start as TURN IT UP arrived, it followed a gate 7 appearance behind BLACKSADANCE. Despite the gate he can issue a challenge.

MAJORDOIT (3) forced the issue last start over this trip and after a strong tempo held on for 3rd as JONAH JONES arrived out of the pack to score. He can get forward again to feature.

LE TISSIER (8) is in hot touch with a 4m 2nd to TARGARYEN his only defeat in his past four starts. Dominant with a first over crush at the mile last week, he will be searching for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR JIGGLE (5), ESCALERA (6), MAJORDOIT (3), LE TISSIER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR JIGGLE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Claiming a qualifying race two starts back when finding the trail and then darting home via the passing lane, GOELITZ (9) struck trouble in his next appearance in the Members Cup. He can follow through early doors from this gate and some tempo will aid his chance from a striking position.

LITTLE BOLT (8) was first up from a freshen last time out, having just 3 starts between Sept and season’s end. Grabbing 2nd from the pocket trail when 5m astern of the winner WHATA ROLLER, he will be sweating on the 1 dictating and under that scenario, he can be ready for the snipers shot.

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (1) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2 here two starts back and when asked to get going down the back, blew the race wide open to claim a 16m margin. With options from the gate, he can feature.

BANGKOK DEEJAY (5) has had a mixed return in three runs back from a spell, the latest when making an error and ending his chances. Charging home for 3rd when second up, he is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: GOELITZ (9), LITTLE BOLT (8), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (1), BANGKOK DEEJAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE BOLT (8) to place

RACE FIVE

Reliant on the map going in his favour to trail the leader, stocks in CANT BLUFF YOU (8) will rise exponentially if he can hit the passing lane with momentum. Making some nice metres last start wide off the track, he will be tucked away ready to offer when the gaps arrive.

JIGAMAROO (1) had this same gate last week when opting to release at the 2138 and from the trail was trying to mount a closing challenge when 2m away from THE HUMMER. An early error proved costly two starts back and if burrowing through looks to find limited pressure to hi outside.

LANOCH BOY (4) has some early hustle and might just take an early look. Beaten by gate 7 and the middle trip last start, he should be more comfortable under these conditions.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (9) eased from gate 5 last time out and from deep in the pack hit some dead ends when trying to make a closing raid. With a peg line play a possibility, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: CANT BLUFF YOU (8), JIGAMAROO (1), LANOCH BOY (4), ALLMIGHTY MAX (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CANT BLUFF YOU (8) to win

RACE SIX

With form against some strong opposition, this looks at the mercy of ANIMADO (2). A three-time winner on this deck and placed twice in his 7 appearances, he was probing when 5m from ALTA REVELRY last start. Too strong in a 70Heat the start prior, he can take control and put them away.

BEACH MAGIC (1) eased last start from gate 3 to find position and was soon hemmed away against the markers as WHAT ROLLER was able to cruise to victory. Just a head from the winner WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH in the Redcliffe Guineas two back, he can secure the ideal trip here to challenge.

PRINCE JOY (9) charged over the top to claim a PB victory here five runs back and at his past two has been sectionally superb in finishing 2nd in each. With the right trail early, he has podium claims.

THE IRISH EAGLE (8) fired out form gate 3 to take control at Redcliffe last start and from the front was able to see it out with 4m to spare. Placed his previous two, he will receive an economical trip.

SELECTIONS: ANIMADO (2), BEACH MAGIC (1), PRINCE JOY (9), THE IRISH EAGLE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 2 / 1-8-9 / 1-5-7-8-9

RACE SEVEN

Runner-up in 2 of the 3 appearances since stepping out in the Narissa McMullen silks, MISDEMEANOR (1) finds the ideal set up to claim victory. Buried in the run from gate 10 last start, she was strong to the line in the fastest last 400 out of the race. With the speed off the arm to dictate her position, she looks hard to stop.

SPEED DATING (4) has missed the money in three starts since claiming successive Group 2 victories in the Summer Carnival. Beaten by gate 7 last time out when retreating and then chasing against the tempo, it followed a disappointing effort in the Redcliffe Xmas Cup. Back to mare’s only company can be the catalyst for the bounce back.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (9) was game in defeat last time out when pressing to the front and setting a solid tempo and holding on for 2nd behind the smart SLIP THE HUNDY. The gate stings for this.

FAIREACHDAINN (8) had placed in successive starts before capitalising last time out with a qualifying victory. This is another step up but with the soft trip, she can chase some minor money.

SELECTIONS: MISDEMEANOR (1), SPEED DATING (4), MOLLIESMARYELLE (9), FAIREACHDAINN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

A return to mares’ company and with this looking an easier grade of opposition for SHEZ NOTORIOUS (5), she can look to cash in. A Redcliffe winner three starts back when powering over the top of them after starting from the second line, she was just 5m from the winner GELDOF last start. This looks ideal.

TINGE OF FEAR (2) was sent to sit parked from gate 6 last start and despite the torrid trip, she was still giving to the wire when 5m from the winner OKINAWA BEACH. Doing it the tough way two starts back when 3rd behind DANCINTOTHEBEAT, she has the gate to throw down the challenge.

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (6) eased to find running line cover after rolling forward early last week but then could not go with them in the closing stages. Despite the wide gate, she can be in the mix.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (9) was first up in over 12 months last time out when finding the front early before taking the trail. Fighting on to hold 2nd, she will take great benefit from the run and can join in here.

SELECTIONS:  SHEZ NOTORIOUS (5), TINGE OF FEAR (2), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (6), COULDNTMISAFALCON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ NOTORIOUS (5) to win

RACE NINE

With good early speed when asked, MATATOKI (1) secures the right gate and conditions to capitalise. Freshened since his last appearance when chasing home behind KENNY KEKO from the 2138m mobile trip, his effort two back had merit following an error. The gate gives him every chance.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (2) was first up from a let up last start when stepping cleanly before settled on the poles. Angled to the outside she had the closing speed to arrive and take victory by a head. With the opportunity to dart in behind the speed, she can be in the stalking spot.

HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (7) can do plenty wrong, but a smaller field can certainly help her chances for this contest. Throwing her chances away last start at Redcliffe, two starts back she did everything right when beaten a neck and is in the mix again.

YEA YOU (3) rolled forward from the 20m tape here on Tuesday and sitting parked just faded in the closing stages. A two-time winner from the mobile, he can settle close enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: MATATOKI (1), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (2), HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (7), YEA YOU (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MATATOKI (1) to win
