RACE ONE

Returning from a spell to target the Redcliffe Xmas Cup first up, COCHY MALC (5) settled in the running line and looked ready to track the eventual winner into the race but had peaked by the 300m. Fitter from that outing, there is a query over the 13 furlongs, but a smaller field assists.

EYRE I GO (3) is enigmatic but if the manners arrive for his first attempt of the season, he is up to the challenge. A winner here three starts back when pressing forward from a 10m impost and able to claim a smart win, he has been unable to replicate that his past two. The front tape is a big help.

KAR MANOR (4) is always a risk from behind the tapes, but if he is able to get away safely, a smaller field and the fact he is starting from the front line brings him right into calculations.

NORTIE NORTIE (1) started fav last start when resuming from a spell where he justified the punters confidence in stepping to the front and dictating. He steps up considerably here, but the lane helps.

SELECTIONS: COCHY MALC (5), EYRE I GO (3), KAR MANOR (4), NORTIE NORTIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COCHY MALC (5) to win

RACE TWO

The first 2YO race of the season in the eastern states comes up here with 3 locals squaring off a trip of from the Hunter Valley. BRONSKI ZULU (4) finished off nicely along the inside in his qualifying trial and the regally bred gelding that is a half to ten winners can look to add another win to the family.

BIG BOZZ (6) was locked away in his Newcastle trial but when spotting a gap, really finished off his work in nice fashion. A half to five winners, the widest gate makes his task a little tougher.

ISLA AND ADDIE (3) is the fourth foal of Dougies Envy and all three previous foals have been 2YO winners. TIPPIN IT (1) is an Ohoka Punter filly that lands the right gate, JOEYS ON A ROLL (2) is by Roll With Joe and has appeared to do everything right in his trial work, while SHELEFTALOTOFBLING (5) showed good speed off the gate in her qualifying trial.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI ZULU (4), BIG BOZZ (6), ISLA AND ADDIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

HAMMER SON (7) came from the 20m tape last week and was hitting the line in smart fashion to run the winner to a neck margin. Hemmed away two back and not getting clear, three starts back he was rattling home for the silver behind JACCKA WATCH. Settling handy enough, he looks to get a chance.

QUERENCIA (3) made a mess at the start last time out which ended his chances as he was left to chase throughout as NORTIE NORTIE took the prize. Chasing from the trail behind JACCKA WATCH two starts back, a safe start and pressing to the front can see him look to capitalise.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) has been given a freshen following her last start where she wilted after sitting parked over the mobile mile. A winner three starts back, she can feature if trotting cleanly.

SET ME FREE (5) chased hard from the trail to claim 2nd here two starts back and franked that performance when darting through along the passing lane last start to score. She has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HAMMER SON (7),QUERENCIA (3), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), SET ME FREE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HAMMER SON (7) to win

SUGGESTED BET: HAMMER SON (7) to win

RACE FOUR

Rounding out the season with victory over the mile last time out, WHATA ROLLER (3) can look to start the season in the same manner. Eased early from gate 5, he was sent forward with 1000m to travel and taking control was never headed in a smart victory. From the gate he can capitalise.

STOMPEM (1) secured the right trip at Redcliffe last start and when produced for the sprint was able to take a 2m margin. Charging home two starts back when beaten a pimple, he comes up with all the options from this gate to issue the closing challenge.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4) claimed the Redcliffe Guineas last start after pressing forward to find the front and then allowed to roll, held on for the win. Winning from the front here three back, he is right in the fight.

KANYE CRUSADER (7) is given no favours from the outside paint, but he has been racing in nice touch, the latest when making good metres behind STOMPEM. Luckless here two back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WHATA ROLLER (3), STOMPEM (1), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (4), KANYE CRUSADER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATA ROLLER (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BEE GEES BEST (10)
made the most of his opportunity last start when pressing to the front and looking far more comfortable on the big deck, pulled clear to score a big 26m margin. The gate stings but off the back of the last start victory, he can be throwing it down here.

RISKY BUZINESS (3) looks to gain the right set up here to get forward handy to the action. Able to find the poles before being crossed by FUROSA last start and immediately shuffled to three back, he should be at least one spot closer this time and can possie up to issue the challenge.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) held on for the bronze last start as HEAR THE CALL claimed a big win at Redcliffe. With the chance for a cosy trip in behind the speed, she can grab another minor.

EAGLES RESPONSE (8) has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts and looks set to enjoy a cosy trip in behind the speed here. Using the inside for 3rd to BEE GEES BEST last start, she can be probing.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BEST (10), RISKY BUZINESS (3), TORQUE TO THE MAX (1), EAGLES RESPONSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BEST (10) to win

RACE SIX

After a stylish trial caught plenty of attention, SURE THING CAPTAIN (4) was sent out a raging white hot favourite for his race debut from the second line. The run was full of merit, but it did not yield the result, forced to settle for the silver behind GWYNEH P. This will be tough but he can open the account.

ARKIN WICKED (2) was beaten by the wide gate last start when taken back in the early stages as ARODA worked to the front. As the race developed into a sprint home, he was trying to reel in the deficit at thew wrong time. A smart winner two back when sitting parked, he can throw it down.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (10) has her task made tougher from the second line gate, yet she has recaptured some form with passing lane 3rd last start when chasing a hat-trick of victories. She has podium claims.

BORDERLINE (7) is given no favours from the outside paint but is in search of three on the bounce after a pair of effortless dictating wins on The Triangle at her past two. She can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: SURE THING CAPTAIN (4), ARKIN WICKED (2), SHEZ ALL STYLE (10), BORDERLINE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  SURE THING CAPTAIN (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Sent forward from outside the front line last time out at Redcliffe, MAJOR MISCHIEF (4) was working hard in a slick tempo when holding on for 3rd in a gritty effort. Facing a string of wide and second line gates in recent outings, he has not been this low in the barriers in his past 8 starts.

CHAL BE (6) will take some benefit from his last appearance where he was returning from a freshen. Moved into the running line after starting from inside the second line at Redcliffe, he chased home for a midfield return behind GLENLEDI COMMANDER. He does have good early speed when used.

MOTU CULLEN (10) was building towards a victory after finishing as the runner-up in 3 of his previous 4 before cashing in last start from gate 5 on The Triangle. The gate dents the chances of a repeat.

NAKULA (1) is still a maiden but comes up with the gate to tuck in behind the speed. Sent to sit parked last start from gate 7, he was game in grafting out a 2m 3rd to DELTA THREE. The account opener is imminent.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISCHIEF (4), CHAL BE (6), MOTU CULLEN (10), NAKULA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MISCHIEF (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

This looks a tricky contest and also has the makings of some slick early sectionals with the speed off the front line. LORD OF MISRULE (4) chases a hat-trick of victories after proving too strong when sitting parked last start and pulling away to a 5m margin. This is a step up, but he has progressed nicely to date.

DELTA THREE (6) was taken back in the early stages from gate 5 last start at the 2138m and when asked for the effort in the latter stages was able to power home to a 2m victory. Grafting it out when parked and claiming 3rd behind CHEETAH LODGE two back, she is right in the fight.

QUARTZITE (5) was sent forward from this same gate last start and taking control was able to take them all the way in claiming a 3m margin. Hitting the line smartly two back, he can feature again.

CHEETAH LODGE (10) is 1 from 1 here at The Creek after his last start victory over the 2138m trip. In a race that looks set to generate some early heat, he looms large in a tricky contest.

SELECTIONS:  LORD OF MISRULE (4), DELTA THREE (6), QUARTZITE (5), CHEETAH LODGE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Undefeated at both 2YO starts, APOLLO DREAMZ (1) will be looking to make it a streak of 3 and comes up with the perfect gate to maintain the record. Finding the pocket trail last start, he darted through along the passing lane for a narrow victory. Fitter for that outing, and with the available options, the threepeat is on.

ISNTTHATRIGHT (5) has been super since arriving in Qld and will look to take another step here. Finishing in the top-two in all 7 starts here, he was dominant last start when descending on them and pulling clear to post a 16m margin. This is the biggest test since arriving but, he looks up to it.

ENGLISH DANCE (10) has found good rhythm and was able to claim victory here last start from gate 1 after securing the perfect trip behind the speed. A winner at 3 of his past 5, he can be chiming in.

BRONSKI DELIGHT (4) will take good benefit from her return to the track last start when down the line in a race where nothing made ground out of the pack behind ARODA. She can join in here.

SELECTIONS: APOLLO DREAMZ (1), ISNTTHATRIGHT (5), ENGLISH DANCE (10), BRONSKI DELIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: APOLLO DREAMZ (1) to win

RACE TEN

Taking his first shot in the veteran’s grade here last week, BITCOIN (6) was sent to the post as fav from gate 9 but could not get into the contest as ROCKNROLL CLASSIC controlled it in front. 3rd behind SLIP THE HUNDY two back, he can get forward to force the issue here to stake his claim.

OUR BONDI BEACH (1) will get the trip he loves to get here, tucked in behind the speed and ready to offer a closing challenge when the lane presents. 3rd to ROCKNROLL CLASSIC last start from inside the second line, he was beaten a lip here three back from this gate. He will be throwing it down late.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (8) made the most of his first venture into this grade last start and was able to dictate in front to a smart win. Hemmed away from this alley, he will be probing.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (10) was luckless last start when no gap presented behind the airborne LE TISSIER. Just a half-head away three starts back, he can be chiming in to feature.

SELECTIONS: BITCOIN (6), OUR BONDI BEACH (1), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (8), COURAGEOUS SAINT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: BITCOIN (6) to win
