RACE ONE

A return to maiden only company looks a huge benefit for the 5YO mare NAKULA (2) after tackling some experienced campaigners in all five starts here at The Creek. Running into the talented SURE THING CAPTAIN last start, she led them up two back when collared late. This looks her chance.

SKYLAR BREE (1) shared the spoils in a dead-heat victory three starts back when setting the speed in a 2YO maiden contest. Returning off a freshen when beaten an eyelash behind TIN AMBER MINE, she lands all the options from the gate to challenge.

SAINT JUJON (3) settled a long way off the speed last start but was making nice metres over the closing stages to grab the silver behind IM BELIEBER. With the right trip she can feature.

OLLIE ONE SHOT (6) was too keen last start from gate 5 when sent to sit parked and after the tough trip faded out. Runner-up two starts back, he continues to be a work in progress.

SELECTIONS: NAKULA (2), SKYLAR BREE (1), SAINT JUJON (3), OLLIE ONE SHOT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NAKULA (2) to win

RACE TWO

Taken back at the start here last week and then still at the rear with 400m to travel, WONDERWOMAN JUJON (2) was unable to get warm over the closing stages as ROCK HAMMER dictated in front. A winner on the front end here two back, she can press the button early.

SCENE OF TERROR (4) cashed in for her first win in the Sunshine State last start when descending on them to score over the Redcliffe 1780m trip. Not blessed with a great deal of early speed, if she can lob a spot without getting too far back, she can be issuing the closing challenge.

ONLY ONE DON (3) in many ways holds the keys to this contest from this alley. Sent to sit parked last start at Redcliffe, he was rolling in front over the 2138m here two back.

EXPLANATION NOTED (1) settled in the running line from a back row draw at Redcliffe last start before owning the closing speed to arrive for the prize. She will be probing again here.

SELECTIONS: WONDERWOMAN JUJON (2), SCENE OF TERROR (4), ONLY ONE DON (3), EXPLANATION NOTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WONDERWOMAN JUJON (2) to win

RACE THREE

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6)
will be on the back-up from Wednesday night where he was searching for a bounce back after a head scratcher two back where he wilted out of contention. Runner-up in his previous three starts, he can overcome the tough gate here.

CANNAN (3) was asked to roll the sleeves for the hard yards last start when sitting parked. Making some nice metres here two back after easing to the poles for a cheap run, he can be settled close enough here to issue the challenge.

LORD DENZEL (7) was runner-up in successive starts before breaking through last time from the second line to score. The wide gate does him no favours here.

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (8) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when grabbing the bronze from gate 6. With the economical trip, he can be searching for late gaps.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6), CANNAN (3), LORD DENZEL (7), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

This looms as a strong contest where the 3Yos look to have the measure on their older rivals. FOR REAL LIFE (5) trialled smartly in preparation for his return following his last start G1 Triad victory back in August. Ripping up the stretch in 26.1, he could be in for a big season.

FREE THINKER (4) makes his first 3YO appearance after hitting the board in all eight starts last season. Claiming two victories in that haul, he was runner-up to CHEER LEADER last start after being locked away three back on the poles. He can be making a play.

GIR FROM ROSEDALE (7) charged across from this gate last start to take control and from the front was never in danger in claiming a 5m margin. This is much tougher but she can feature.

REDS STAR DEAL (10) has two wins in his eight starts, with both coming on The Triangle at Redcliffe. Descending on them last start for a stylish win, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: FOR REAL LIFE (5), FREE THINKER (4), GIR FROM ROSEDALE (7), REDS STAR DEAL (10)
SUGGESTED BET: FOR REAL LIFE (5) to win

RACE SIX

It has been a mixed bag for THE WATERBOY (4) since arriving in Aus where he has started deep into the red in three of his four starts. Overcoming a wide gate last start at Redcliffe and able to find a way to claim a 2m margin, with a freshen and added experience, he can look to go back-to-back.

MISTER DOMINGO (1) was last seen when 4th behind the talented ARODA which had followed a head defeat at Redcliffe behind YOGI. Forced to work hard in the run three back, he lands the right gate here to issue the challenge.

GWYNETH P (8) started her Aus career with a bang when upsetting the hotpot SURE THING CAPTAIN. A passing lane runner-up at her next start, she was game last start and will be probing.

KORLOFF NOIR (9) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when run down as a red figure fav by REDS STAR DEAL. With the right trail she can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: THE WATERBOY (4), MISTER DOMINGO (1), GWYNETH P (8), KORLOFF NOIR (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN
Setting a slick tempo out in front at Redcliffe last start GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2) was forced to use plenty of gas to hold the front which ultimately took its toll. Forced to hang tough when parked two starts back, he looks to have found an easier lead here and can give plenty out in front.

ONLYSBEST (9) had not had much in his favour for a few runs before things worked out two starts back where he was able to overcome the outside front line to rattle home to take the prize. Beaten by gate 10 and the leader’s tempo last start, he looks to get the right trail here to challenge.

THE WEEKEND (5) was too far back against the tempo last start when finishing at the rear. Holding on for the bronze two starts back, it is a tricky gate but he is right in the fight.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (3) was buried in the run last start from inside the second line until finding the space to extricate and charge over the top of them for a smart win. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2), ONLYSBEST (9), THE WEEKEND (5), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENLEDI COMMANDER (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Still chasing his first victory since arriving in Qld, ROLLYARRRZ (1) can look to take advantage of the improve gate. Strong to the line last start in a qualifier when under 5m form the winner IM FEELING FIREY, not much has been in his favour and with mapping options here can take his shot.

CLASS TO THE MAX (9) was second up from a spell last time out when shuffled back early to three back the poles from gate 1. Making some late metres for the bronze, it followed a tough first up run. With the right trail, he can be issuing a challenge here.

HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (3) returns from a freshen after fading last start after setting the tempo in a strong mile claimed by LE TISSIER. He can force the issue here and try to repel the challengers.

ALTA REVELRY (10) found the pocket trail last start and then owned the closing speed to arrive to a 4m margin last time. Kept fresh since that outing, the back line makes the task tricky.

SELECTIONS: ROLLYARRRZ (1), CLASS TO THE MAX (9), HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (3), ALTA REVELRY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ROLLYARRRZ (1) to win
