RACE ONE

HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (3) faded out last start over the AP mile after starting as the fav and setting a strong clip in front. Runner-up his previous two starts after lighting the lamps on each occasion, collared by ANOTHER STATEMENT and then REGULUS, he gets his chance to see this one out.

STORMTIDE (1) is up in grade here after a tough effort last start when sitting parked and finishing 5m from the winner BE MY ROCK. Taking them all the way to a PB winning rate two back over he AP mile, he has the options on offer from the gate to throw down a challenge.

KANYE CRUSADER (5) would be much firmer in the market for this race if he had been able to draw tighter. In some nice form that included a strong front-running win here two back, he can feature.

NICKS PICK (7) was first up from a spell last start and was making good metres in the closing stages, finishing within 3m of the winner. With the soft peg trip, he will be probing for an opening.

SELECTIONS: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (3), STORMTIDE (1), KANYE CRUSADER (5), NICKS PICK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (3) to win

RACE TWO

WINDY HILL WALLY (1) had this gate last start and was soon locked away three back when the field sorted position. Finding space to get out and grab the silver when 1m from the winner, he should be able to settle one spot closer this week and if hitting the lane with momentum can capitalise.

THE SPORTZ STAR (4) was asked to sit parked outside GLENLEDI COMMANDER last week and with a genuine tempo being set, was unable to see it out when fading. Striking trouble two starts back, he can show his early hustle and look to issue a challenge.

GLENLEDI COMMANDER (8) capitalised here last week when shooting to the front and never relinquishing thereafter. He will be chasing here but some winning form can see him in the mix.

DYNAMIC DAN (7) will strip fitter from his last start where he was first up in 12 months. Angled to the poles from the second line and running home soundly, he will secure an economical trip.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL WALLY (1), THE SPORTZ STAR (4), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (8), DYNAMIC DAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL WALLY (1) to win

RACE THREE

MAJOR MISCHIEF (6)
receives no favours from the carpark alley but might just find this grade a slightly easier set of opponents than recent outings. Doing it the tough way from gate 6 over the AP mile last start, it followed a gate 12 over the 2138m. This looks within reach.

MOTU AMETHYST (1) comes up with all the fence line benefits and the options should the trail be the play. 9m in arrears of THE TAX CULLECTOR last start from outside the second line, it followed a 4m deficit when collared late after leading them up. The gate helps her challenging chances.

YOGI (2) has returned from a spell in super form and lines up shooting for the hat-trick of victories after successive wins when leading in each. He may cop some heat if in front here, which asks the question, how much can a Yogi bear?

MOTU CULLEN (5) sat parked last start after being sent around them from outside the second line and went within a head of the prize. Just a neck away the start prior, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISCHIEF (6), MOTU AMETHYST (1), YOGI (2), MOTU CULLEN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MISCHIEF (6) to win

RACE FOUR

ARTISITIC SAINT (7)
was beaten by a wide gate last start when retreating and then unable to reel them in over the closing stages. Darting through to grab a 1m 3rd here two starts back, he follows a good beginner and stalking the speed can be ready to take the snipers shot.

TRACER BULLET (1) was a winner here five runs back when easing into the running line from gate 4 and then finishing with superior speed to score. Holding 3rd behind ALLAMBIE at his next start, tough gates have dented his hopes in each run since. Back to the front, he lands his chance to dictate.

LIFEINHEAVEN (4) showed early hustle to get across and then take the trail here four starts back which was the winning move. Tough gates have stung since that win and if able to slot in handy, she can chime in.

ILLBEWATCHING (5) may need to get forward and do some heavy lifting here after being blessed with trailing draws in his past three starts. A winner two back, he can do the work to feature.

SELECTIONS: ARTISITIC SAINT (7), TRACER BULLET (1), LIFEINHEAVEN (4), ILLBEWATCHING (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ARTISITIC SAINT (7) to win

RACE FIVE

BERTILS FIREFOX (8)
was a winner here two starts back after securing the perfect trip behind the leader and then cruising past them in the stretch when the gap opened. Holding on for the bronze last start after being shuffled to three back, he can follow through to descend on them.

DATSINAHURRI (6) was taken back from this same gate last start and from the rear was never in the mix. Chasing home to finish midfield behind LORD DENZEL the start prior, she can look to get across early and up near the front in this contest would take some catching.

THREE MACHS (9) angled to the poles last start and was joining in over the latter stages to grab 3rd behind MAJOR SLIP UP. With the right cart into the contest, she can be making a play.

JAMAICIAN RESORT (7) was not suited last start when sitting parked outside the leader and he faded after the torrid trip. Tucked away here, he will be searching for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: BERTILS FIREFOX (8), DATSINAHURRI (6), THREE MACHS (9), JAMAICIAN RESORT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BERTILS FIREFOX (8) to win

RACE SIX

ASH AND JO (9)
has placed in two of her five appearances and might just have found the right conditions to open the account. Asked to do it the tough way outside the leader last start, it followed a similar trip when holding on for the bronze. This looks within her capabilities.

HOLLADOR DAISY (3) faced a second line gate last start when settled in the 1x1 trail and chasing home behind THE WATERBOY. Midfield the start prior behind NINETEENTHIRTYFOUR, she can look to settle handy to the action and finds a winnable maiden.

FINANCIALLY STABLE (5) is a Gotta Go Cullect 3YO on debut for Wayne Graham. With a tidy enough preparatory trial, he is a podium chance from the tough gate.

BATMAN JUJON (7) is yet to hit the board in five attempts but should be able to enjoy a cosy trip on the pegs here. Taken back last start, he can be closer and searching for a way clear in this.

SELECTIONS: ASH AND JO (9), HOLLADOR DAISY (3), FINANCIALLY STABLE (5), BATMAN JUJON (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

BORDERLINE (1)
was runner-up in successive starts before being scratched at the barrier after the driver was tipped out in an aborted start. Making the most of this alley last start to take them all the way with 6m to spare, she finds the ideal conditions to rinse and repeat.

MISTER GALVINATOR (9) resumes from a spell after his last appearance back in April when scoring a maiden breaking win. With three trials to tighten the screws, he can look to trail through in the early stages to find position.

LURKING (7) lines up for a third different trainer in three starts, securing the gate behind a good beginner. 6m from MAJOR SLIP UP last start when starting fav, he will be as his name suggests.

HOLLYWOODBOUND (4) eased from gate 5 to find the poles last start before finishing midfield behind the handy looking MADRIGAL. She can get forward to feature here.

SELECTIONS: BORDERLINE (1), MISTER GALVINATOR (9), LURKING (7), HOLLYWOODBOUND (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BORDERLINE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

HEAR THE CALL (4)
was looking to take them all the way from gate 1 here two starts back and led them into the stretch but could not repel the closing power of BERTILS FIREFOX. Crossed in the early stages last start, with the soft trip he was able to arrive for the prize. This is again within reach.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (3) settled in the running line over the AP mile last start and was trying to launch a late raid when finishing 9m from the in-form BATMAN BART. Settling close to the action from this gate, she can look to issue the challenge.

CANNAN (8) tried to capitalise from a good alley over the AP mile last start and led them every step bar the one that counted when beaten on the wire. He can trail through early to feature.

WEASEL (1) held on for the bronze here two starts back when 6m from the winner EASTBRO TEX. Not too far away last start, he is now a 16YO and has the gate to chime into the minors.

SELECTIONS:  HEAR THE CALL (4), TORQUE TO THE MAX (3), CANNAN (8), WEASEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAR THE CALL (4) to win
