SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-8

RACE TWO

COURAGEOUS SAM (9) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when drawn gate 6 and sent forward early. Eased to four back on the inside as the field went into single file, he was then snookered in the run when getting along the inside late for 3rd. He can defy the gate.

FAVREAU (2) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 3 last start when trying to launch a closing raid behind BEJIGGITY. Three starts back he was looking to take them all the way when leading every step bar the one that counted. From this gate he can be up near the action to issue the challenge.

THE WEEKEND (6) has placed at his past three starts, the latest when sent to sit parked from gate 5 when holding 3rd behind BEJIGGITY. Runner-up his previous two, he can feature despite the gate.

ONYA DOUG (1) returns from a spell and has been to the trials in readiness for the return. Trying to take them all the way over the 2040m at his last appearance, he can tuck in here to feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS SAM (9), FAVREAU (2), THE WEEKEND (6), ONYA DOUG (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAM (9) to win

RACE THREE

IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (1)
is over 14 months since his last victory and has looked to have his chance a few times in the latter part of last season. Making some good metres in the closing stages behind FORTES IN FIDES last start at HQ, he lands the gate and opposition to arrest the decline.

LIFEINHEAVEN (5) flashed early speed last start over the 2040 before receiving cover but then unable to go on with it in the latter stages as ARTISTIC SAINT scored. Midfield over the AP mile the start prior, the gate is not ideal, but she is up to making a challenge.

TELL ME THIS (7) started from the second line last start when making a late raid behind FORTES IN FIDES and running that winner to a half-neck margin. With the perfect trip, he is right in the fight.

YOGI (3) was setting a slick tempo out in front last start and was unable to go on with it, wilting to be out the back. Shooting for the hat-trick in that contest, he can be close enough to feature here.

SELECTIONS: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (1), LIFEINHEAVEN (5), TELL ME THIS (7), YOGI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MAJOR TRALEE (5)
has been in nice touch in recent starts, the latest when able to find the trail from gate 3 and then dart through on the passing lane to claim a narrow victory. With two wins matched with a runner-up return in his past five, he can overcome the gate to capitalise here.

HEAR THE CALL (1) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over this track and trip. A beaten odds-on fav three back when 2nd and grabbed in the closing stages, he has the gate to secure the options and the threepeat after winning in front and from the trail at his past two.

AFTER DARN (8) has been in the money at her past three starts, the latest when chasing home behind VERMONT after starting from gate 9. She can follow through early to feature.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR TRALEE (5), HEAR THE CALL (1), AFTER DARN (8), UNDERTHEKILT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR TRALEE (5) to win

RACE FIVE

THREE MACHS (5)
was able to overcome the second line last start when working home in nice fashion and pulling clear to an 8m margin. The wider gate makes it tough again here, but against similar opposition, if she positions cheaply, she will again be hard to beat.

BERTILS FIREFOX (7) was trying to reel in THREE MACHS last week but could not get there when finishing with the silver. Locked away three back on the poles when 3rd to HEAR THE CALL two back, he took the closing shot to score here three back and will again be ready to challenge.

DATSINAHURRI (4) pressed the issue from gate 6 last week and was able to take control and look to see it out. Collared in the latter stages in holding on for 3rd, she can get forward again here.

SELECTIONS: THREE MACHS (5), BERTILS FIREFOX (7), DATSINAHURRI (4), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE MACHS (5) to win

RACE SIX

BLUE BLOODZ (1)
has developed a handy record here on The Triangle, hitting the board in four of his five appearances, which includes his only career victory. Facing gate 7 at his past two, he has been meeting superior opposition to what he faces here and with the added gate bonus, gets his chance.

REDS STAR DEAL (5) found the spot three back on the poles from gate 4 last start over the AP mile when trying to make a late raid when 3rd to BACK TO BETOOTA who scorched up the stretch in the closing stages. Midfield to SUNNY COVE two back, moving one spot closer in an added benefit.

MISTER GALVINATOR (7) will take benefit from his first up effort when asked to work hard after rolling forward to sit parked from the second line. A cosy trip here can see him probing.

SABOTAGE (2) is lining up for her fourth trainer in her past seven starts, joining the premiership winning Butler barn. Out of the money in two November runs, she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: BLUE BLOODZ (1), REDS STAR DEAL (5), MISTER GALVINATOR (7), SABOTAGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  BLUE BLOODZ (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

AS SHE SAYS (2)
was faced with gate 5 last start and was able to slide across and claim the 1x1 trail bit could not go with the smart winner MADRIGAL. Runner-up at her previous two in succession, bit behind subsequent winners in ENGLISH DANCE and BORDERLINE, this looks her chance to capitalise.

JAKKI MUN (4) was a debut winner after easing off the poles from his inside second line gate. Coming with a well-timed raid to claim the prize, he was 3rd behind MADRIGAL last start after facing a second line gate. Seeing the front line for the first time can see him issue the challenge.

HEZA GALVINATOR (1) has now had three runs back from a spell and been unable to land in the money. Fading after facing the tough gate last start, an easier trip behind the speed here helps.

ASH AND JO (7) was sent forward from outside the second line here last week and able to press on to the front, then proved too strong to claim a bug 11m victory. Likely to be buried, she will be searching.

SELECTIONS: AS SHE SAYS (2), JAKKI MUN (4), HEZA GALVINATOR (1), ASH AND JO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: AS SHE SAYS (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

MATAI REACTOR (5)
found the ideal conditions to descend on them here three back and claim a 3m margin with a smart win. Fading out after setting the speed as the fav here at his next start, he was deep in the pack when midfield last time. The gate stings but his looks to be within reach.

OFFICE BAD BOY (9) was trying to make a closing raid last start when holding on for the bronze behind WILD ABOUT TOWN. Striking trouble the start prior when out of the money, he can look for the right cart into the contest to make a challenge.

SCHOOBY (6) was sent forward last start and was waved on by for the lamp lighting duties over the AP mile after starting from gate 10. He can force the issue again here to feature despite the gate.

WEASEL (2) kept chasing to be best of the rest behind the big winner HEAR THE CALL last start, adding another minor to the tally. He will keep on keeping on from this alley as a minor player.

SELECTIONS:  MATAI REACTOR (5), OFFICE BAD BOY (9), SCHOOBY (6), WEASEL (2)

RACE NINE

FINANCIALLY STABLE (7)
was on debut last start when settling in the running line from gate 5 and trying to make a late play when best of the chasers behind 11m winner ASH AND JO. Following a good beginner, if he can land leaders back, with the added race experience he can look to capitalise.

MYSTICAL CHARM (1) was sent forward and forcing the issue was able to work to the front from gate 4 before fading to a midfield finish behind RHONDA BLUE CHIP. Against much tougher opposition two back at Marburg, she finds the gate here to issue a challenge.

MAGIC NITRO (2) showed some early speed last start to get across from gate 2 before taking the trail and holding on for 3rd behind ASH AND JO. Placed her past two, she is a podium player again.

BAHAMAS MISS (3) finds an improved alley here after tougher alleys in both starts since resuming from a spell under the care of Tayla Gillespie. Not far away in each, she is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: FINANCIALLY STABLE (7), MYSTICAL CHARM (1), MAGIC NITRO (2), BAHAMAS MISS (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

KERRIE BE (3)
struck trouble last start ending her chances as WATCHING RICKY took the prize. Just a half-neck from DOLLAR BUCK two starts back, she finds the conditions here to get forward, take control and open the account.

HOLME BOY (5) was runner-up here two starts back to record his first ever minor after trying to take them all the way. Down the line last start in a much tougher contest against experienced performers over the AP mile, a return to no win company in this line up looks more suitable.

SNACK TIME ROCKS (7) has placed at her past three starts, the latest via the passing lane when runner-up to WATCHING RICKY. She might just look to get clear of the pegs to chime in.

HEAVENS BABY (2) has just the solitary placing in 13 race attempts as she chases the elusive maiden breaker. 11m astern of DOLLAR BUCKS last start, she has the early hustle to get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: KERRIE BE (3), HOLME BOY (5), SNACK TIME ROCKS (7), HEAVENS BABY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: KERRIE BE (3) to win
