RACE ONE

ALLMIGHTY MAX (1) will need to overcome some poor numbers at the middle trip to capitalise from the good alley. Collared in the last strides when looking to take them all the way five starts back, he has faced wide gates since and with the options on hand, gets his chance to capitalise.

ARNOLD STREET (2) is another that is yet to taste victory beyond the sprint trip, but did put up a handy 3rd two starts back when finishing withing 2m of subsequent winner MIGHT AS WELL. Placed in two of his past four, he has the early hustle to find a handy spot.

COURAGEOUS SAM (7) has not had much luck in snaring a decent marble to match his pattern and likely will be hemmed away here. Too far back last start, he is a podium hope with the right trip.

MOSSDALE MAC (6) heads up the Houghton Highway for the first time after being somewhat underwhelming since arriving in Qld. He is given no favours again here from the outside paint.

SELECTIONS: ALLMIGHTY MAX (1), ARNOLD STREET (2), COURAGEOUS SAM (7), MOSSDALE MAC (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

MAJOR TRALEE (5) finished last season in smart fashion and has continued the trend this term, running in the quinella at his past seven in succession. Pressing forward from gate 2 to dictate last start over the 2040 trip, he can defy the wide gate to cash in once again.

MISS MIA (2) looks better placed here than her past couple of starts where she was midfield in a mare’s qualifier last time which had followed a tough trip when parked over the 2040 here two back. She can look to force the issue in the early stages to throw down the challenge.

PURPLE SHADES (8) finished midfield last start when chasing early position and forced to ease in the early stages. He can follow through here and be looking to make a closing raid.

BORDERLINE (7) was chasing a threepeat of wins two starts back when tackling much stronger AP opposition. Placed when returning to this deck last start, she will be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR TRALEE (5), MISS MIA (2), PURPLE SHADES (8), BORDERLINE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR TRALEE (5) to win

RACE THREE

HOLME BOY (1)
was able to open his account last start when firing through from this same alley to control the tempo and then see it out in a tidy closing 800. This is a step up in grade from the last start maiden breaker, but with the mapping favours he can look for a repeat.

AFTER DARN (7) was sent to the post as fav last start from this same gate but soon found herself in strife when striking trouble. Following a good beginner here, she should get the chance to be positioned to avenge the last start dilemmas.

MATAI REACTOR (8) overcame the same gate last start when wide off the track and owning too much closing power to claim a smart win. Developing a smart record on this deck, he can feature.

BETTING BARON (9) has been consistent with three placings in his past four, the latest when working home from a wide gate behind JET FORCE. He can be trucking into it late again.

SELECTIONS: HOLME BOY (1), AFTER DARN (7), MATAI REACTOR (8), BETTING BARON (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE FOUR

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8)
will need to be forgiven for his last start and if that was just a minor blip on the radar, he finds the right race to bounce back. Runner-up his previous three in succession before the last start failure, he looms large.

SONNY ORLANDO (2) has started from the second line at his past three starts, the latest when snookered three back and a long way from the winner MATAI REACTOR. A half-head away two starts back, he finds the race to press forward and try to arrest his fortunes.

OFFICE BAD BOY (9) has been thereabouts without winning, placing his past three in succession, the latest a tidy effort behind MATAI REACTOR. He will be making a late play for the prize.

TALEGGIO (5) capitalised last start when descending on them in the closing stages to claim his first win here on The Triangle. The gate stings but his past two have been from wide gates.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8), SONNY ORLANDO (2), OFFICE BAD BOY (9), TALEGGIO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

SQUARE DEALER (7)
will be relying on some factors in his favour from this alley but with the economical trip can be stalking the speed. Not suited last start when forced to sit parked and wilting under a hot tempo, he looks better suited here to take his shot.

THE IRISH EAGLE (3) was a winner here four starts back when forcing the issue to take control over the sprint trip and claim a smart victory. Runner-up to CHAINLINC last start with a tidy closing 800, he can get forward and issue the challenge.

MARIANNA BROMAC (1) was left exposed momentarily last start before receiving cover but was unable to go on with it when midfield to CHAINLINC. With options from this gate, she can feature.

BLUE TITLE (2) opened his Qld account last start when making full use of gate 1 to dart through and take them all the way. He has the gate to again look for a forward position.

SELECTIONS: SQUARE DEALER (7), THE IRISH EAGLE (3), MARIANNA BROMAC (1), BLUE TITLE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUARE DEALER (7) to win

RACE SIX

MYSTICAL CHARM (1)
has been working towards opening the winning account, finishing as the bridesmaid at her past two starts. Looking to take them all the way last time and leading every step bar the one that counted when beaten a pimple, she looks to get every chance here.

SNACK TIME ROCKS (3) has placed four times in her career, with each placing coming in her past four outings. Chasing home for the silver last start behind KERRIE BE, she can be handy to the action here to try to pinch the chocolates.

IGNITE THE FIRE (2) is a two-year-old having just her second career start and tackles the older horses. A beaten fav on debut at The Creek when racing greenly, the added experience will help.

BAHAMAS MISS (4) was buried away from inside the second line last start when finishing just 4m from FEEL YOUR WAY. She has podium claims with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: MYSTICAL CHARM (1), SNACK TIME ROCKS (3), IGNITE THE FIRE (2), BAHAMAS MISS (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  MYSTICAL CHARM (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

FEEL YOUR WAY (1)
was able to claim a breakthrough victory last start when settled in the pocket trail from this same gate and making the closing shot a winning one to break free of the maiden status. Building towards that win, she lands the mapping options again here to chase a repeat.

AURORA FIG (7) was first up in Qld last start when attacking the line smartly wide off the track to be under 2m from the winner MAJOR TRALEE. Arriving with Central Western NSW form against some handy performers, a return to one-win company here is a big help and she can throw it down.

SHESFEELINSPECIAL (8) could not go on with it last start behind REDS STAR DEAL when finishing midfield. With the right trail against this opposition, she is a podium chance.

HURRIKANE KING (2) burrowed through from gate 1 to look for an all the way effort last start at Marburg and was only collared in the closing strides when beaten a head. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: FEEL YOUR WAY (1), AURORA FIG (7), SHESFEELINSPECIAL (8), HURRIKANE KING (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FEEL YOUR WAY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

FLY CHEVAL (1) was strong to the line last start from outside the back row at Marburg when grabbing the silver. She faces a huge improvement in gates after her past five have all been from wide out, giving her every chance to capitalise.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) started from inside the second line last start and was hampered and put out of contention. At his best when making a sweeping challenge, he can be in the right position here to be issuing the challenge.

WHATA REACTOR (7) was runner-up last start after being exposed in the early stages until receiving cover. A beaten fav on that occasion, she will be stalking the speed here ready to offer.

FEELING THE POWER (6) is afforded no favours from the car park but was hitting the line in nice style last start from a wide gate. A repeat performance can see him in the money again.

SELECTIONS: FLY CHEVAL (1), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9), WHATA REACTOR (7), FEELING THE POWER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FLY CHEVAL (1) to win

RACE NINE

GO JO JOLT (7)
faced the outside second line gate last start and when letting down to issue the challenge was able to sprint sharply to claim a narrow victory on the wire. Wide off the track at Marburg two starts back, she can stalk the speed and look to make the closing shot a winning one.

JANG PEL (1) was asked to roll the sleeves and graft it out when sitting parked here two starts back and was strong to the line behind HEAR THE CALL. Not suited last start at the 2040 trip, he can burrow through to protect the poles here and from the front will be throw it down.

HEAR THE CALL (9)
was looking for a fourth successive win last start when sent forward from outside the second line to ultimately finish 4th. With another stinging gate, limiting the workload will be key.

FIVE STAR GEM (8) resumes from a spell following a last start victory to open his account back in September. Warming up to that win with some handy efforts, he has podium claims fresh.

SELECTIONS: GO JO JOLT (7), JANG PEL (1), HEAR THE CALL (9), FIVE STAR GEM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GO JO JOLT (7) to win

RACE TEN

CERTAINLYCALLITIN (1)
claimed the maiden breaking victory four starts back on this deck when taking control from this same gate to take them all the way. Fitter after three runs back from a spell after grabbing bronze last start when snookered from inside the second line, he can capitalise.

MULLUM DOC (6) has been facing the wide gate owing to the ODM embargo in recent starts but has been thereabouts with placings in three of his past four starts. Hitting the line in smart fashion last start when beaten a half-head, he looms large in this contest.

BOKHARI (2) was taken back from a wide gate last start and could not get warm in the closing stages behind REDS STAR DEAL. Settling handy she has podium claims.

SABOTAGE (8) was trying to take them all the way last start when a beaten fav. That was her second outing for the Butler stable after a first up 3rd and she has claims again here.

SELECTIONS: CERTAINLYCALLITIN (1), MULLUM DOC (6) BOKHARI (2), SABOTAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
