Races 3-12 were abandoned at the Townsville Greyhound Racing Club meeting on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 due to wet weather and the state of the track.
As per the Abandoned Race Meetings Policy, trainers will receive $80 compensation per greyhound plus the starters fee.
Race 3 was a heat of the Robert Olsen Maiden Series. As per GAR 111 (2b), Stewards conducted a random ballot and determined which greyhounds will progress to the final on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The result of the ballot is as follows:

Furthermore, the Townsville Country Cup Qualifier will now be conducted as a once-off event on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The best 8 greyhounds plus reserves will be determined the RQ grading department. Trainers must re-nominate to be considered and only the greyhounds that were nominated for the heats on January 17, 2023 will be eligible.
