RACE ONE

One of the State’s most in-form performers with wins in six of his past eight starts, LE TISSIER (10) can overcome the tough gate to add another to the tally. Backing up from a strong 2m victory here on Tuesday, he has been versatile and getting it done from tough gates.

SOLE AMBITION (3) pressed ahead from this same gate last start in a mid-week contest of this grade over this same trip. Finding the front after 500m, once in control, he kept them rolling and dug in for the fight to see it out. Taking plenty of confidence from the win, he can look to challenge.

DESPONDENT (1) is on the back up from Wed night at Redcliffe where he was chasing down a hat-trick of victories and as game in defeat after settling a slick time. Going all the way at the mile two back in a career PB, he has the gate to feature.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (8) snagged back from a wide gate to find the poles last start and was sound to the line behind MANILA PLAYBOY. A cheap peg trip looks ideal for his podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (10), SOLE AMBITION (3), DESPONDENT (1), SWAGGIE SHANNON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LE TISSIER (10) to win

RACE TWO

With three runs for Wayne Graham, the past two when finishing as the runner-up, DAZZLE ME (1) looks to have found his opportunity to go one better this time. Just a head from TEDDY DISCO last week when really stretching that pacer to the wire, he can tuck in, stalk the speed and salute.

HY VOLTAGE (5) will appreciate a return to the mile after his last start in the 2360m Tamworth Cup was one lap further than his optimum trip. A winner at Tamworth two starts back in the Gold Nugget from the second line, he can get forward here to issue the challenge.

MISTY CREEK (8) was shuffled to three back from gate 1 here last week but was able to follow through for the bronze behind TEDDY DISCO. A similar scenario looks to eventuate here.

THREE RIVERS (3) is in search of a hat-trick of victories after wins at the mile and then the 2138 last start after pressing to the front from gate 6 to dictate. From this alley he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: DAZZLE ME (1), HY VOLTAGE (5), MISTY CREEK (8), THREE RIVERS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 5 / 3-6-7-8

RACE THREE

Mapping this race looks a challenge with a few smart beginners that will be searching for a prominent position. CHEETAH LODGE (10) will benefit from any tempo off the front and was too slick in the closing stages last start when overpowering them in a career best 1.53.3. He can repeat.

MI FURIOSO TORO (8) made the most of his opportunities last start at Redcliffe when tucked in behind the speed and when angled to the passing lane, owning the speed to dart through to score. This is a step up, but with a soft trip, he can be ready to throw it down in the stretch.

FRANCO MACHO (1) can do a bit wrong but should appreciate the opposition here from the good alley. Displaying the required closing speed to claim a narrow win three back, he has the options.

THERESACHANCE (6) has been in nice touch in recent attempts, the latest when eased early from gate 4 before finishing over the top to claim a smart win. Despite the wide gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: CHEETAH LODGE (10), MI FURIOSO TORO (8), FRANCO MACHO (1), THERESACHANCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEETAH LODGE (10) to win

RACE FOUR

A divided open event that looks set to be dominated by a limited few. Despite the second line, BLACKSADANCE (12) is the clear and present danger and brings successive wins. Too strong in front last start from gate 6 over this trip after laying out a 54.4 closing half, he can grab the threepeat.

TOMMY LINCOLN (6) claimed victory under similar conditions last start when pressing to the front from gate 3 over the mile and once in control was able to see it out. Unable to finish it off two back when sitting parked outside BLACKSADANCE, he can look to take advantage of his front line gate.

SCARLET BABE (10) resumes from a spell after her last appearance came in the G1 Golden Girl when 5m from the winner TOWN ECHO. Attacking the line with venom in a recent trial, she can chime in.

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (11) continued his consistency last start when darting along the passing lane for the bronze behind MANILA PLAYBOY. He will be chasing a cart into the contest to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (12), TOMMY LINCOLN (6), SCARLET BABE (10), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (11)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (12) to win

RACE FIVE

Taken back from gate 7 last start, GOLIGHTLY (2) was snookered against the poles and then forced to search for gaps when the leader folded. Going to the line untested searching for an opening, he will relish the improved gate and settling handy to the action gets his chance to cash in.

KANYE CRUSADER (1) took full advantage here last week from gate 1 at the mile, stepping it out with an effortless 5m victory. A strong winner from gate 6 here three back, he steps up to the middle trip but from the gate looks to get his chance to throw it down.

SO MUCH MORE (9) has placed in both runs back from a spell, the latest when closing out hard to be just a head in arrears of the winner. With the right trail, he can be chiming in again here.

CALL ME KEITH (5) faded last start after being sent forward to sit parked from gate 5, the tough trip taking a toll. A gritty 3rd two starts back when parked outside LYRICAL GENIUS, he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: GOLIGHTLY (2), KANYE CRUSADER (1), SO MUCH MORE (9), CALL ME KEITH (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Undefeated after three career starts, this looks the sternest test that APOLLO DREAMZ (4) has faced thus far in his brief career. After rounding out his 2YO term with a pair of victories, he returned this term with a smart all the way victory. Kept ticking over with a recent trial, he can make it 4 from 4.

FREE THINKER (1) faced gate 4 last start where he was able to slide across to find the pocket trail and with the cosy trip, made the closing shot a winning one. Yet to miss the board in nine career starts, he was under 3m from CHEER LEADER two back and has the gate to make the challenge.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (8) took full advantage of gate 1 last start at Redcliffe, burrowing through to hold the front over the 2040 and take them all the way. With a soft trip, he can be chiming in.

LANOCH BOY (10) was a passing lane winner here two starts back after taking cover from gate 1. Just a head away last start, he will need some tempo to be making a late play for the podium.

SELECTIONS: APOLLO DREAMZ (4), FREE THINKER (1), ALLMIGHTY MAX (8), LANOCH BOY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  APOLLO DREAMZ (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Fitter following his last start where he was first up in six weeks, ZHUKOV LEIS (3) can look to capitalise from the improved gate. From gate 11 at his first run for Trent Dawson he grabbed the silver before the let up. Returning from gate 7, he can make full use of his early hustle.

MIGHTY GEORGE (1) continues to be sectionally super and will appreciate the fence gate here as he has been working home from wider on the track. Eased from gate 7 last time when making good ground to be 5m from the winner, he can look to make a closing rally.

CHAINLINC (9) has been in touch on The Triangle with three wins from his past five and will look to transfer that here to HQ. Overcoming gate 5 in successive starts to go back-to-back, the second line dents the threepeat hopes.

THE IRISH EAGLE (6) will also be looking to bring his winning Redcliffe form to the big deck where he is winless after 25 attempts. Strong from the front last start over the 1780, he is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: ZHUKOV LEIS (3), MIGHTY GEORGE (1), CHAINLINC (9), THE IRISH EAGLE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ZHUKOV LEIS (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

VINDICATE (1)
will be returning from a spell for this battle and lines up with the benefit of one trial where she finished midfield. Releasing for the trail after crossing from gate 5 here four starts back, she then had the passing lane power to arrive. She is holding the keys to this contest with the options.

WONDERWOMAN JUJON (3) was sent to the front here last start from gate 2 and kept rolling, setting the tempo that led to SCENE OF TERROR arriving for the win. Holding on for the silver when 4m away, she took them all the way three back which is her only win on this deck from 20 attempts.

SCENE OF TERROR (2) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after a Redcliffe win was followed with a career PB when descending on them over this trip. Settling handy from this alley, tempo will help.

LIFEINHEAVEN (5) eased from gate 5 here last start and was making some late metres to grab the bronze behind SCENE OF TERROR. Strong to the line for 2nd three back, she can chime in off the speed.

SELECTIONS: VINDICATE (1), WONDERWOMAN JUJON (3), SCENE OF TERROR (2), LIFEINHEAVEN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SCENE OF TERROR (2),

RACE NINE

Returning from an Inter Dominion campaign that included a 5th in the final behind JUST BELIEVE, MAJESTIC HARRY (2) secures favourable conditions fresh. Trialling in nice order for the return where his individual time eclipsed the track record for square gaiters, he gets all the favours to capitalise.

MAJESTIC SIMON (6) has the wide gate to negotiate but is aided by the small field as he has worked his way back into some good form. A winner here three starts back when hanging tough in the breeze from a 20m handicap, he was collared late here tow back when leading from the mobile.

LEESA CASTLETON (1) was chasing down a hat-trick of wins here last week when tucked away against the poles from the 10m tape. Making late ground to grab the silver, her mobile numbers are not great, but she has the alley to improve them.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC HARRY (2), MAJESTIC SIMON (6), LEESA CASTLETON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC HARRY (2) to win
