RACE ONE

OLLIE ONE SHOT (8) has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, but he might just have found the conditions to open the account. Taken back last start after initially rolling forward, he followed them home as NAKULA dictated. Runner-up here three back to THE WATERBOY, this is winnable.

MISTIQUE (6) loomed up again last week and looked set to grab the moment of glory, but once again fell short, finishing 2m in arrears of the winner to take 3rd. Placed in all five this season chasing the maiden breaker, he will likely be issuing a challenge at some stage again here.

TUFFY (2) resumes from a spell off the back of placing in 2 of his last 3 appearances last campaign. With the chance to settle handy to the action, he is a podium chance fresh.

RIGHTYO (3) will take benefit on whatever he can achieve from this outing which will be his first in 21 months. With three starts as a 2YO, the now 4YO has trialled in good order for the return.

SELECTIONS: OLLIE ONE SHOT (8), MISTIQUE (6), TUFFY (2), RIGHTYO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OLLIE ONE SHOT (8) to win

RACE TWO

GWYNETH P (8) finds an easy one here and will likely be starting a short price fav if her last SP of $1.75 is the gauge, when starting from inside the second line over the AP mile. Midfield on that occasion, she is the only horse to defeat SURE THING CAPTAIN thus far and this looks hers to lose.

RHONDA BLUE CHIP (6) has her share of ability but can do plenty wrong too as she continues to develop. A winner second up despite an early error, she has again been stung with an ODM embargo which sees her start from the outside paint here. Pacing cleanly, she looks best of the rest.

CONNIES SPIRIT (3) was snookered in the run last start from inside the second line and when spotting a gap was best of the chasers behind TIL HEAVENS ROCKN. She can chime in again.

SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1) maps to get all the favours from this gate which will give her the chance to finish in the money.

SELECTIONS: GWYNETH P (8), RHONDA BLUE CHIP (6), CONNIES SPIRIT (3), SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 8 / 1-3-6-7

RACE THREE

LUCKY JIM (3)
was taken back from gate 6 last time out and settled at the rear was never a factor as the race developed into a last panel blitz as JAKKI MUN controlled it in front. Whacking to the line two starts back after securing the 1x1 trail, he can press forward here to take his shot.

TORQUE IN CONTROL (1) will be first up since November after joining the Jack Butler yard. Beaten by a wide gate last start, the start prior she was unsuited at 2040m. If showing the same improvement as stablemate TORQUE WRITER than won first up with the same switch, this would be within reach.

WHATA REACTOR (7) was a winner from the pocket trail here two starts back and then last start was given a shot over the AP mile. With a cheap trip she can join in.

PERFECT FEELING (5) was sent around them in the early stages from the second line last start and sitting parked was just a half-head astern of the winner. Despite the wide gate he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY JIM (3), TORQUE IN CONTROL (1), WHATA REACTOR (7), PERFECT FEELING (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

IM BELIEBER (1)
was first up for the Ricky Thurlow yard last start and after pressing forward from gate 5, struck some trouble before pressing on with it and finding the front with 1000m to travel. Maintaining a steady tempo in front, he was able to hold then off and has the gate to repeat.

EMMALEEN (8) resumes from a spell after really starting to put it together at the back end of her last campaign. Building towards a win with four successive placings, she capitalised last start form the second line before being shut down. With the right trail she can challenge fresh.

ANSONS BAY (4) was angled to the poles last start from the second line in the race JAKKI MUN controlled from the front. Too far back the start prior, a front-line gate helps.

CORVETTE JOE (6) has had two runs back from a spell and nothing has gone his way in either. He faces the ODM embargo but vast improvement would not surprise.

SELECTIONS: IM BELIEBER (1), EMMALEEN (8), ANSONS BAY (4), CORVETTE JOE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IM BELIEBER (1) to win

RACE FIVE

MATAI REACTOR (8)
was a winner three starts back from this same gate when powering up over the closing stages to claim a 3m margin with a further 19m back to 3rd. Making a three-wide move from the 600m last start, he was out of fuel rods before the turn. With a cart home he can arrive.

NON PASSARE (6) has put together some consistency in past starts with a top-three at his past four in succession. That includes a win from outside the second line two starts back and then last start was winding up late after retreating from gate 5. He can be issuing a challenge once again.

CAUGHT OUT (1) got carted back behind tiring runners last start and her chances were gone as FLY CHEVAL broke clear to score. With the mapping favours here she can is a podium chance.

DALLAS COWGIRL (9) was trying to make some metres up the passing lane last start when finishing 4m from the winner TORQUE WRITER. She can be chiming into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: MATAI REACTOR (8), NON PASSARE (6), CAUGHT OUT (1), DALLAS COWGIRL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MATAI REACTOR (8) to win

RACE SIX

DIEGO DELGADO (2)
burrowed through from gate 1 over the AP mile last start and was trying to see it out when fading in the closing stages to finish 5m astern of the winner. Making a mid-race charge two starts back and grabbing 3rd, a return to The Triangle can see him see it out.

DUKE (1) retreated from gate 4 last start to settle rearward on the peg line and was too far back to get warm over the latter stages. Not suited the start prior when parked, he can secure the economical trip behind the speed, a position he won from five starts back.

OUR DOLLY (7) rolled forward from gate 4 two starts back and was able to graft out the win before finishing just a half-neck away last start from the front. She will be probing for the gaps here.

GO JO JOLT (4) was a winner from the second line here three starts back when owning superior closing speed to arrive. Striking trouble last start, positioning cheaply will be key to her chances.

SELECTIONS: DIEGO DELGADO (2), DUKE (1), OUR DOLLY (7), GO JO JOLT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DIEGO DELGADO (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

ALTA REVELRY (6)
started from gate 7 last time over the AP mile and was revved up to get across to lead, paying a 26.7 opening panel for the privilege. Given no peace as MOLLIESMARYELLE came to dish up some heat, he wilted late to be 11m away. The gate stings but he is up to the challenge.

MI FURIOSO TORO (1) was a winner here two starts back from the pocket trail when darting up the passing lane from inside the second line. Grabbing 3rd to the in-form STORMTIDE last start when 6m away, he gets back to the front line and will throw down a hard challenge in front.

CLASS TO THE MAX (7) was trying to launch a closing raid last start in a qualifier when holding on for 3rd behind BETTERTHANAROCKET. Under 5m from the winner, he will be probing for the openings.

LETS BLAZE (5) is an eight-time winner on this deck, the most recent last week when finishing over the top in claiming a smart victory. The gate makes it tough, but the tempo looks to suit.

SELECTIONS: ALTA REVELRY (6), MI FURIOSO TORO (1), CLASS TO THE MAX (7), LETS BLAZE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-7

RACE EIGHT

DOLLARBILL (3)
has worked his way back into some form, hitting the board at his past two starts. Making a closing raid to get within a neck of the winner two back, he worked hard wide off the track last start when 2m from the winner. He can force the issue here and look to control it.

TEACHERS PET (1) made full use of this gate last start to take them all the way over the 1780m trip, doing it effortlessly with 8m to spare. She steps up to the 2040m trip this time and with zero wins over the middle trip, it might just ask a question she cannot answer.

JAKKI MUN (4) faces a step up in grade here, but has been good since starting his career, yet to miss the money in six outings. Claiming an easy win last start after only needing to sprint home, he looks progressive enough to feature here.

MONTEREY JACK (5) resumes from a let up but is given no favours from the wider gate. Able to do some work if required, he can be chiming into the action.

SELECTIONS:  DOLLARBILL (3), TEACHERS PET (1), JAKKI MUN (4), MONTEREY JACK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DOLLARBILL (3) to win

RACE NINE

SHADOW MINISTER (1)
is 0 from 8 here on The Triangle but in many of those has drawn wide. The time he did land this gate was when shuffled back as SOEXTRA proved too sharp. Just a half-neck away behind THREE RIVERS two starts back, he lands the chance to capitalise here.

ROSES ARE SWEET (7) took the trail last start from gate 1 and was looking to land the closing shot up the passing lane when just a neck adrift of the winner. A beaten fav behind CHAINLINC two starts back, she will be sweating on the openings to issue the challenge.

BRING THE FLAVE (9) darted off the arm to take control last start and from the front was able to take them all the way with a neck to spare. Freshened since that appearance, he has podium hopes.

RAANI (2) was wide off the track last start over the AP mile when in the second half of the pack behind GOLDIES A DELIGHT. Working forward from this alley can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW MINISTER (1), ROSES ARE SWEET (7), BRING THE FLAVE (9), RAANI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW MINISTER (1) to win

RACE TEN

ROCKSLIDE (5)
tackled the AP mile last start when retreating from gate 7 to settle rearward. Making good metres in the closing stages to be within 5m of the winner, he gets back to the Peninsula where he has a tidy record that includes five wins and he can defy the gate to cash in.

ILLBEWATCHING (8) did some early work last start in pressing forward from the second line before receiving running line cover. Fighting on to hold 3rd behind IN CHEVRON WE TRUST, he can look to issue the challenge again here.

AFTER DARN (1) is in search of a hat-trick of wins after claiming a win up the passing lane before taking them all the way last start. This is another step up, but the gate provides the options.

MAJOR MISCHIEF (7) will be relying on some factors in his favour but should the gaps open in time, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSLIDE (5), ILLBEWATCHING (8), AFTER DARN (1), MAJOR MISCHIEF (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (5) to win
