RACE ONE

An absolutely cracking Band 5 battle to start the card where several horses all have genuine claims to take the prize. ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1) lands all the mapping favours and can get the ideal trip from this gate. Attacking the line hard wide of the track last start when 3m away, he will be stalking.

UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (2) was a big winner when resuming over the Redcliffe 1780, sitting parked and fighting them all off to claim a 4m margin in sharp time. Rounding her 3YO term out with a feature victory at this trip, she has the get to force the issue and throw down the challenge.

BETTOR JIGGLE (5) powered home strongly two starts back to put them away in smart fashion and then last start was hitting the line in good order when 1m from SURF ACE. He is right in the fight.

OAXACAN DREAM (11) has been sectionally superb for a sustained period and was again rattling home in slippery closing panels last start. In the money at her past five, she will be charging again.

SELECTIONS: ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (1), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (2), BETTOR JIGGLE (5), OAXACAN DREAM (11)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Going to the line full of running but with nowhere to go last start when hitting dead ends, IM FEELING FIREY (8) was just 5m from the winner. Midfield over this trip the start prior when leading before handing over to OAXACAN DREAM at the mile, he can be tucked away and ready to pounce.

COPPERFIELD (1) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out on The Triangle and although last, was under 7m from the winner SURF ACE. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior as subsequent winner HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY capitalised, he lands all the advantage this time to burrow through and try to see it out.

MELTON BEACH (10) tackled a qualifier last start and darted through from gate 1 to keep them wide over the mile and take them all the way in a new career PB. It will be harder from this alley.

LITTLE BOLT (6) sat in the trail last start and held on for the silver when 3m from the winner GLENLEDI COMMANDER. Not much has been going his way of late and the wide gate makes it tough.

SELECTIONS: IM FEELING FIREY (8), COPPERFIELD (1), MELTON BEACH (10), LITTLE BOLT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FEELING FIREY (8) to win

RACE THREE

After two runs back from a spell which have both been eye-catching performances, SOEXTRA (10) can look to overcome the second line. Buried last start and really only winding up the last 75m, he was strong to the line behind MANILA PLAYBOY when resuming. Tempo will be a huge help.

SURF ACE (5) is 4 from 6 this season and stares down a hat-trick of wins here after a big win last week at Redcliffe. Busting them apart when ripping through a sub 27 3rd panel, he was on tired legs but held them off. The wide gate hurts but the threepeat is within reach.

LYRICAL GENIUS (1) has been sectionally superb from poor gates, the latest when charging home to be 6m from TUAPEKA GLORY. Only 2m from JONAH JONES the start prior, the improved gate is a big help.

STAR GALLERIA (7) should appreciate this grade of contest after competing in open company. Grabbing 3rd behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER last week, he is afforded no favours from the carpark.

SELECTIONS: SOEXTRA (10), SURF ACE (5), LYRICAL GENIUS (1), STAR GALLERIA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SOEXTRA (10) to win

RACE FOUR

He may need to overcome the outside second line gate, but the tempo can suit THE HIGH COMMANDER (10) powering home over the top. Runner-up in 3 of his past 4, he sat parked last start when a game 4m away. A similar margin away over the 2138 the start prior, he can descend.

ROLLYARRRZ (8) sat in the 1x1 trail last start but could not finish it off as AMERICAN OUTLAW took the prize. 4m away after a tough trip outside the leader two starts back followed a head 2nd from the trail where he could have been closer if the gap opened sooner. He can be coiled and ready to strike.

ANIMADO (4) should appreciate a return to the big deck after being sent around them from the second line last start at Redcliffe to sit parked. Tightened after two runs back from a freshen, he is in the mix.

DAZZLE ME (6) is afforded no favours from the wide gate after he went under deep into the red last week at Redcliffe. Only a head away here three back, he can be making a closing raid.

SELECTIONS: THE HIGH COMMANDER (10), ROLLYARRRZ (8), ANIMADO (4), DAZZLE ME (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE HIGH COMMANDER (10) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky 60-75 battle here that looks a messy map to dissect. CLASS TO THE MAX (5) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when chasing home behind ALTA REVELRY when 2m adrift. Hitting the line strongly the start prior behind HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY, the gate makes it tricky, but he is up to the task.

REGULUS (8) was asked to sit parked last start over the Redcliffe sprint and after the tough trip faded over the closing stages. Beaten by gate 6 at both prior outings, he can gain an economical trip here and although he is a risk of being shuffled back, can charge late to challenge.

MISTER REACTOR (4) found an unchallenged lead last time out at Redcliffe from gate 4 and once in control was never in danger with a 7m margin to spare. He can press forward here to feature.

LEFT A TERROR (6) has now had three runs back from a spell and claimed a career PB second up from the pocket trail. The wide gate dents the chances, but this looks slightly easier.

SELECTIONS: CLASS TO THE MAX (5), REGULUS (8), MISTER REACTOR (4), LEFT A TERROR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASS TO THE MAX (5) to win

RACE SIX

After facing the second line at his past two starts, a return to the front looks the prefect catalyst for HY VOLTAGE (1) to return to winning form. Holding 3rd from the trail to MELTON BEACH last start, the speed set by MISDEMEANOR the start prior was a tough chase. From the ace he can capitalise.

BETTERTHAN POPSY (3) started from inside the second line last start at Redcliffe and from the trail finished 5m from the winner ALTA REVELRY. Runner-up at both prior outings, including when hitting the line hard when 3m from MELTON BEACH, he can settle forward to issue the challenge.

CHAINLINC (7) has been in nice touch this season, hitting the board in 5 of 7 which includes a pair of victories. Strong to the line behind UPTOWN BEACHGIRL last start, the gate is a stinger.

CHEETAH LODGE (4) was too far back after retreating last start and against the tempo the task was too great. A winner from the second line here three back, positioning cheaply will be key to his hopes.

SELECTIONS: HY VOLTAGE (1), BETTERTHAN POPSY (3), CHAINLINC (7), CHEETAH LODGE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  HY VOLTAGE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Although gate 5 is still on the sticky side, MOLLIESMARYELLE (5) should appreciate the opportunity after being no closer than gate 7 at her past five in succession. Pressing ahead from the second line and grinding the opposition to score three back, a return to her own sex from this gate is a huge asset.

BETTOR ROMANCE (1) backs up from Tuesday where she was midfield from gate 3 when finishing just 3m from the winner MISS DAYTONA. Luckless the start prior when the gap didn’t open, she comes up with all the options to throw down a challenge.

OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (9) was second up in Qld last start when sent to the front from wide off the front line at Redcliffe and proved too classy in pulling clear to an 18m margin. She can join in.

TINGE OF FEAR (3) started from inside the second line at Marburg last start and with a strong closing half set, always had the task ahead of her. A passing lane winner of a similar race here three back, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MOLLIESMARYELLE (5), BETTOR ROMANCE (1), OUR PRINCESS KENNEDY (9), TINGE OF FEAR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MOLLIESMARYELLE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

With the big improvement in barriers from her recent appearances, GWYNETH P (1) looks to get all the favours. Never in danger in claiming an effortless 19m margin two starts back at Redcliffe, she closed out hard last start when runner-up to DELTA THREE. From this alley, she looks hard to stop.

FORBIDDEN JEWEL (2) faced gate 6 last start and after retreating early, was then sent three-wide with 1000m to travel. Fighting hard to hold 2nd as ROSES ARE SWEET pulled clear to score, she will be further tightened from the run which was her 2nd run from a break and after arriving in Qld.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (9) was first up in over 12 months when runner-up in a mare’s qualifier before finishing 3rd second up. With another break since that run and a tidy trial, she has claims.

JAZIAH (8) has been thereabouts in recent starts with placings in 4 of her past 5, the latest when collared in the last strides to be a half-head off the winner. With the cosy trip she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: GWYNETH P (1), FORBIDDEN JEWEL (2), COULDNTMISAFALCON (9), JAZIAH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GWYNETH P (1) to win

RACE NINE

Making his second appearance of the season, TURN IT UP (7) was runner-up last start from this same gate after finding the trail and finishing 3m from BLACKSADANCE. A PB winner two starts back when powering over the top, he has the push button speed to dart across or come with one run.

ROCK BOTTOM (1) was trying to see it out from the front-end last week when drifting up the track and locking wheels, ending any place chance he had. Making nice metres the start prior behind MANILA PLAYBOY, he can secure the ideal trip here to make a closing challenge.

TOMMY LINCOLN (3) started from inside the second line last start and was soon shuffled three back before finding a late gap to grab the bronze when 3m away. He can fire some early bullets here to get handy.

GOVERNOR JUJON (5) has now had two runs back from a long break, the latest a nice effort after doing some early work to find position and closing out soundly. Finding a spot cheaply can help.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (7), ROCK BOTTOM (1), TOMMY LINCOLN (3), GOVERNOR JUJON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (7) to win

RACE TEN

Tightened from his first run back from a spell where he was forced to hang tough, INDEFENSIBLE (1) comes up with the gate to take full advantage here. Fading after the tough first up trip, he rounded out his last campaign with a hat-trick of victories, including an all the way win from the mobile which he can look to replicate.

KINGDOM COME (3) eased from gate 4 last start and was winding up in the closing stages of the 2138m trip to be 8m astern of the winner SUGARINSPICE. With a similar trip three back when chasing home behind RED CASTLETON, he can get the cosy ride here and be ready to throw it down.

CALL ME TROUBLE (7) is the query runner, arriving from NZ with strong for references, albeit winless in recent months. Chasing home behind MAJESTIC MAN at his latest start, he is under a big watch.

LEESA CASTLETON (2) has started the season in super order with successive wins followed by three placings, the latest when closing hard to be 4m from SUGARINSPICE. From this gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: INDEFENSIBLE (1), KINGDOM COME (3), CALL ME TROUBLE (7), LEESA CASTLETON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: INDEFENSIBLE (1) to win
