RACE ONE

MI FURIOSO TORO (6)
will be on the back up from Friday where he had claims and with a great change of speed can look for early ascendancy or await a close out. @nd from the tapes at Marburg two starts back in a slick closing half, he looks to get his chance in this line up.

MELTON INSULTED (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to make closing metres when 5m astern of the winner AURORA FIG. Forced out of the race with a wheel issue when second up from a break, she has the gate to fire early bullets.

BAILEYS WITH LEGS (1) was locked away against the poles at Redcliffe last start when just out of the money. From the gate with the easy trip, she will probe for a gap.

LITTLE CHANGE (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but brings plenty of experience and is working his way back into form. Wide off the track last start for 3rd, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (6), MELTON INSULTED (2), BAILEYS WITH LEGS (1), LITTLE CHANGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (6) to win

RACE TWO

THE GROGMOTHER (1) claimed career win number 2 last start at Redcliffe when sent to the front and dictating to an all the way victory. With the good gate, she gets the chance to go back-to-back.

BEACH ON FIRE (2) took the trail last start from gate 1 and owned enough closing speed to arrive for a narrow victory. Where he lands in the run here will be key to his challenging chances.

FORGIVE ME (8) did some early work when exposed before receiving cover and was making a closing raid when just 1m away last time. With the cosy trip, she can chime in.

GETALOADTHISBRO (3) capitalise two starts back to take them all the way. Grabbing 3rd from a second line gate last start, he can make a play here.

SELECTIONS: THE GROGMOTHER (1), BEACH ON FIRE (2), FORGIVE ME (8), GETALOADTHISBRO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THE GROGMOTHER (1) to win

RACE THREE

STUDLEIGH MARK (4)
made the most of his opportunity last start when finding the front over the Redcliffe sprint trip to see it out with 4m to spare from the front. Not suited chasing against the tempo the start prior, he can press forward here to take aim for a repeat.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (2) is still chasing his first win of the season but is working closer to a breakthrough after placings at his past two starts. Runner-up to LOOKS JUST RIGHT at the 2138m last start, he can fire some early bullets to issue a challenge.

PRESS STATEMENT (7) should find this a shade easier than recent outings but is given no favours from the gate. Making nice metres when 7m in arrears of ROCK HAMMMER last start, he has claims.

MISTER HART (1) was asked to sit parked three starts back and after a tough trip was still giving to hold on for 2nd. The early burn will be key to his finishing power.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH MARK (4), IMA BIRUBI BOY (2), PRESS STATEMENT (7), MISTER HART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH MARK (4) to win

RACE FOUR

HIGH ON MONTANA (7) is given no favours from the wide gate but might just be able to capitalise on a small edge to take this. Pressing on from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start to lead, he was grabbed in the last strides by ROCK SUPREME. With versatility, he is up to the task here.

BATMAN BART (1) has good arm hustle when called on and from this alley can look to burrow through to set up the speed. Fading out last start at Marburg, he was asked to hang tough when parked out the start prior and will throw it down from this alley.

MY GIRL MANDY (4) was beaten by the wide gate last start on The Triangle when trying to secure position but covering extra ground. A winner two starts back, she can measure up here.

STUDLEIGH WILL (5) has been runner-up in two of his past three starts, the latest when grabbed in the last stride after setting the tempo. He can press forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: HIGH ON MONTANA (7), BATMAN BART (1), MY GIRL MANDY (4), STUDLEIGH WILL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGH ON MONTANA (7) to win

RACE FIVE

LA PISTOLA (1)
was first up from a spell last time out where he was able to keep the opposition wide into the first turn and then take them all the way. Fitter following the first up return, he has the gate to secure all the options once again and turn around a 15 start hoodoo on this deck.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (9) took the trail from gate 1 last start and finished midfield to MISTER DOMINGO. The second line is a tricky set up here but with a limited front line, he can look to issue a challenge.

CAUGHT OUT (8) looks set to enjoy the economical trip from this alley which raises her chances of finishing in the money.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (6) is given no favours from the wide gate, but she has been thereabouts. Forget her last start behind GYWNETH P, she was a close 3rd two back and can feature again.

SELECTIONS: LA PISTOLA (1), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (9), CAUGHT OUT (8), IM A CLASSY GIRL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LA PISTOLA (1) to win

RACE SIX

B MAC C (1)
will appreciate the big gate improvement after a string of wide gates where he has still been sectionally superb. Chasing home behind YEP GOT CHOOKS last start after retreating from gate 7, he can celebrate the sesqui-centenary of race starts in style.

SCOTCH EN ICE (5) will be further tightened from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell. Working home wide off the track to be within 4m of the winner OUR ACTION MAN, he can settle handy enough to issue a challenge.

FALCONS (2) fired out from this same gate to set the speed last start and faded in the latter stages at what was his first appearance in one month. He can look to press the button early again here.

JUST DESSY (9) has good change up speed when asked for one run and tucked in behind here will be awaiting the call to issue a closing raid.

SELECTIONS: B MAC C (1), SCOTCH EN ICE (5), FALCONS (2), JUST DESSY (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  B MAC C (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

BRIGADIERS SON (9)
resumes from a spell and looks to have found himself the perfect first up assignment as he chases his first Qld victory. Placed in qualifying company at two of his past three starts, he trialled soundly behind LEAP TO FAME and can open his campaign in style.

SOME GIRLS DONT (2) was trying to reel them in on The Triangle last start but came up a neck short of victory after facing the outside second line gate. A nice winner here three back from inside the second line when angled off the pegs early, she can get forward to issue the challenge.

IM BELIEBER (1) steps up in grade here but has been in nice touch since resuming from a spell after his Qld arrival. Defeating subsequent winner EMMALEEN two back, he was a tidy 3rd last start.

BUMPER (6) is on the back up from Friday and worked home strongly two back when just a head away from the winner. The wide gate makes it a tricky ask in this line up.

SELECTIONS: BRIGADIERS SON (9), SOME GIRLS DONT (2), IM BELIEBER (1), BUMPER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BRIGADIERS SON (9) to win
