RACE TWO

MR MCLAREN (9) takes his first look at The Triangle after two starts since crossing the Tasman have both been at HQ. Winning a similar 70Heat at his first appearance when owning superior finishing power, he was dead game in holding 2nd in the Final after parking outside MELTON BEACH in 1.52.6.

MISS DAYTONA (8) is 1 from 1 here at Redcliffe and lines up after a last start 3rd in a mare’s qualifier where she was sent around them in the early stages to sit parked from gate 10. Grafting it out to make it a top-three in all her past five, she can follow through here and keep giving all the way.

ROCK NIEN (1) lands his best gate in some time and with early hustle when needed, can be in the perfect position. Forced to do plenty of work last start, he has the gate to feature.

CALL ME KEITH (6) tackled a strong 2138m event last start and could not get into it as HIPSTAR carved it out in front a 54.2 last half putting it out of reach of the chasing pack. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: MR MCLAREN (9), MISS DAYTONA (8), ROCK NIEN (1), CALL ME KEITH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MR MCLAREN (9) to win

RACE THREE

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (1)
is never too far from the action and lines up here off the back of successive placings, the latest when under 3m from the winner HEZ ON THE BUZZER. Holding on for the bronze behind NO MOTIVE over the AP mile two back, he has all the favours here to grab the cash.

MULLUM BOY (7) was required to sit parked here two starts back and with the tough trip, held on for the silver behind GWYNETH P. Midfield last start from this same gate when angled away from the poles early, he gets his chance to follow the speed here and be ready to strike.

TOM KAT (8) was sent to the post as fav last start and after an early burn for the front, found space to tuck in behind but was then the first horse beaten. Runner-up two back, he can be sharper here.

WINDY HILL WALLY (9) was tucked away on the poles last start and held on for the bronze behind CHAINLINC. If they overcook it in front, he can be the fresh legs on the scene.

SELECTIONS: HEY MISTER TAYLOR (1), MULLUM BOY (7), TOM KAT (8), WINDY HILL WALLY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HEY MISTER TAYLOR (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MISTER ARTIKUATE (2) is building towards a win with placings in his past three starts, the latest when forced to do the heavy lifting outside the leader when claiming a gritty 2nd placing. His run two back was a tidy effort and with an improved gate will get his chance to cash in.

MOONAN NINA (1) found the conditions to burrow through, take control and then see it out with 9m to spare here last week. This is another step up, but she lands the right gate to open the options and with some winning confidence can be in the right position to strike.

TRUE GRIT SHADOW (7) found the pocket trail from gate 4 over the AP mile last start when trying to chase BETTYS LASS and finishing midfield. With the cosy trip from the start, he can chime in.

LIFEINHEAVEN (4) was too far back last start and never got warm over the closing stages as HOLDINGNO CURRENCY took them all the way. Runner-up two back, she can grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: MISTER ARTIKUATE (2), MOONAN NINA (1), TRUE GRIT SHADOW (7), LIFEINHEAVEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER ARTIKUATE (2) to win

RACE FIVE

BLING THE LUCK (5)
was first up in Qld last time out and after an early dip for the front, then took running line cover before finishing over the top in claiming a narrow victory. Taking benefit from the outing, which was her first in over four weeks, she can sit off the early speed to arrive.

SHORT LEG SUE (1) has been to the track four time this term and is still chasing her first top-three finish. Finding the line in smart fashion last start ad earning a return to the main draw after being on the ODM embargo, the improved gate is a huge plus and she can be in position to challenge.

BETTING BARON (8) was buried in the run last start from inside the second line and will be relying on some early pressure here. That should eventuate and he can press through to feature.

DIEGO DELGADO (4) rolled forward early before receiving cover last start and chased hard for the silver behind MY SECRET BEACH. Beaten a pimple four back, he might need to roll the sleeves here.

SELECTIONS: BLING THE LUCK (5), SHORT LEG SUE (1), BETTING BARON (8), DIEGO DELGADO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BLING THE LUCK (5) to win

RACE SIX

CHAL BE (5)
was returning from a freshen last start when unable to go with them over the closing stages in a race run in sharp even fractions from the front. Searching for a return to his better form, his numbers on this deck are sound and he finds conditions to chase a turnaround.

TACTFILLY MIRACLE (2) found cover last start but could not go on with it over the closing stages. In the money at her previous four in succession including a win from deep in the pack when charging home, she can find the right spot from this alley to throw down the challenge.

TRACER BULLET (1) was asked to do it the hard way last start when sitting parked where he just faded in the closing stages. With the gate to secure the early options, he has podium claims.

SUNRISE RUBY (8) has missed the board just once since arriving in Qld, that coming when a beaten fav in a second division mare’s qualifier. With the right trip, she is right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CHAL BE (5), TACTFILLY MIRACLE (2), TRACER BULLET (1), SUNRISE RUBY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-8

RACE SEVEN

MONTEREY JACK (5)
faced the inside second line last start and angled off early was then trying to work into the contest wide off the track as IN CHEVRON WE TRUST controlled it. Too strong for them here two starts back from this same gate, he can flex his muscle again here.

TORQUE IN CONTROL (1) has hit the board at her past three in succession, the latest when a beaten fav after taking the trail from this gate and finishing 8m astern of the winner ABBEY DIADEMA. Winning by a head three back before being beaten by a head at her next start, she can challenge.

ABBEY DIADEMA (9) secured the 1x1 trail here last week and then had the speed to close out to claim a 3m margin. She can be finishing down the outside to feature once again here.

FOR NO REASON (2) found the pocket trail last start over the AP mile and was trying to reel them in up the passing lane when 6m adrift of the winner. Runner-up two back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BORN TO WRITE (9), LOUS DREAM (8), ELLIS STREET (5), TEAM SPORT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY JACK (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4) started from inside the second line last time out and was buried and never saw the gaps when needed yet was still under 4m from the winner. Midfield two starts back but 7m from the winner, he finds the right conditions here to descend on them for the prize.

JAMAICAN RESORT (2) was required to graft it out when sitting parked last start and after the tough trip was 5m in arrears of the winner LAZY BLAZE. He moves two alleys closer to the poles here and if able to dart across to light the lamps, will get his chance to see it out.

EASTBRO TEX (5) rolled across from gate 6 last start to get handy before receiving cover and finishing 5m form the winner. A winner when chasing here four back, limiting the early burn will be vital to his hopes.
LAZY BLAZE (6) had the closing power to finish over the top of them last start and claim his tenth victory here at Redcliffe. The gate does him no favours in the search of a repeat.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4), JAMAICAN RESORT (2), EASTBRO TEX (5), LAZY BLAZE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4) to win

RACE NINE

THREE ONE FOUR (1) faced the second line last start when trying to make ground wide off the track in grabbing the bronze behind OUR LITTLE SKIPPER. Tackling a stronger contest two starts back behind JILLIBY CHAMBERS, she has all the options to open her 4YO account.

GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (6) will take benefit from her return to the track here last start when first up since September. Buried in the run, she was searching for the short cuts when midfield as MOONAN NINA took them all the way. The gate does her no favours, but she can look to challenge.

MISTER DELWIN (2) will be returning to kick off his 3YO term after a 2YO season that ended with a win on this deck up the passing lane. He can be handy enough to feature fresh.

DEECEE ROCKIN (7) should secure an economical trip in behind the speed and be searching for the openings. Not suited when asked to work in the run last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: THREE ONE FOUR (1), GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (6), MISTER DELWIN (2), DEECEE ROCKIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE ONE FOUR (1) to win

RACE TEN

IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (2)
has been edging closer to the maiden breaking victory and lines up here after securing a minor at her past three in succession. Working forward to take control here last start when under 2m from the winner MYSTICAL CHARM, she can chase the breakthrough.

THIS YANKEE ROCKS (5) will take further benefit and experience from his latest appearance where he stepped out for his second career start. Making late metres wide out to grab the bronze, he can be tracking into the contest in the latter stages to issue a challenge.

CHAKANA (4) did not have much go her way last start over the AP mile when running into some trouble. Collared in the closing strides here two back by subsequent winner BOUNTYHUNTER, she is in the mix.

ROCKIN CHIKA (3) is a 2YO filly stepping up against the older campaigners after a first up midfield return behind DRAGON at HQ. Settling handy to the action, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (2), THIS YANKEE ROCKS (5), CHAKANA (4), ROCKIN CHIKA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA MIDNIGHT REBEL (2) to win
