RACE ONE

3YO Majestic Son filly EN MASSE (1) makes her first Aus appearance after crossing the Tasman to join the Shane Graham stable. Arriving with two unplaced runs in NZ, she was not asked for much when trotting cleanly in a recent trial. From the front tape, she can make an impression fresh.

TOP OF THE MOMENT (9) was able to defy the 20m impost at his first run in Qld and opened his winning account at just his second career start here last week. Powering home over the top to pull clear to an 11m margin, he goes back another 10m which makes it a tough task.

THE REAPER (8) was safely away from this same handicap last start and finding the 1x1 trail was able to hold on for the bronze behind TOP OF THE MOMENT. He can be thereabouts once again.

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (5) is back to the 20m mark after claiming the second win of the season at his most recent outing, darting along the passing lane to score. With added confidence he can feature.

SELECTIONS: EN MASSE (1), TOP OF THE MOMENT (9), THE REAPER (8), HOLD MY HAT DOUG (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Runner-up at his past two appearances, REGAL APPOINTMENT (4) should find a handy spot off the front tape for this. Runner-up to RILEY MOMENT off equal marks last start in Saturday night company, he meets that mare 20m better for this and secures his chance for a 2023 breakthrough.

KAR MANOR (9) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when finishing 6m from HAMMER SON after finishing with a flat tyre and hitting the line in nice order. Midfield the start prior when contesting the McNeil Final, if he can step safely, he will throw down the challenge.

RILEY MOMENT (10) is chasing down a hat-trick of victories after successive all the way wins when stepping to the front and leading throughout. The 20m impost makes it a tougher ask here.

OONSKADE (1) steps up against the higher rated performers which may provide a test, having been racing strongly off big handicaps against the lesser rated types. The front tape is a plus for her hopes.

SELECTIONS: REGAL APPOINTMENT (4), KAR MANOR (9), RILEY MOMENT (10), OONSKADE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: REGAL APPOINTMENT (4) to win

RACE THREE

Placed in 7 of 8 this season as she chases the maiden breaking win, SAINT JUJON (3) keeps finding one just a little better. Closing hard last start when a half-neck from SARASUN in a 30-40 race, she placed behind the odds-on fav GOLDEN BAY two back. This looks her chance for the breakthrough.

LYDIAS ART (9) was heavily supported at her most recent appearance to run deep into the red from gate 2 at Redcliffe. Settled in the 1x1 trail in that contest, the best she could manage was a 5m deficit to TEAM SPORT in holding 2nd. Runner-up in both Qld outings, she can challenge again.

CAPTIVANTE (4) is a 3YO Captaintreacherous filly making her debut for Mark Dux. The first foal of 14-time winner Covert Beauty, she has mixed her efforts at the trials, but stays under notice.

SUGGESTED BET: SAINT JUJON (3) to win

RACE FOUR

A chestnut colt by Ohoka Punter making his race debut, GEM PUNTER PETE (6) caught the eye in a qualifying trial when finishing it off strongly from the rear after being a long way off the lead. Out of the former handy race mare Jessica Amber, he finds a winnable contest at his first appearance.

DELE ROW (4) was sent forward to sit parked last start and after the tough trip was still giving to the wire when runner-up to CHECKNOUTTHETALENT. Faced with a second line gate at his first two career starts, the second of those was a smart close out behind IRON CLAD. He looms large here.

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2) has been runner-up in 2 of her 3 career starts, the latest when best of the rest behind the smart winner ELLIS STREET. Beaten a blister when second up, she can feature here.

ROCKON ROCKY (1) has placed in both career starts and lands the gate to be right in the mix once again. Grabbing 3rd behind CHECKNOUTTHETALENT last start, he will be thereabouts from the ace.

SELECTIONS: GEM PUNTER PETE (6), DELE ROW (4), PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (2), ROCKON ROCKY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

It will be a tough ask to overcome the outside front line, but QUEENSLANDER (7) finds the right opposition to complete the mission. Collared after leading them up last start in a 3YO only contest, he was 6m from the winner WISPER A SECRET. Unplaced in 3 runs back this prep, this looks his.

ARKIN WICKED (6) was third up from a spell last start when tackling a Trot Rods one lap blitz. Chasing gamely for 3rd as TUNGSTEN TERROR saw it out from the front, his run two back when resuming behind MISS FROUFROU was a gritty effort and he can issue a challenge in this.

LANCELOT BROMAC (3) chalked up another minor placing here last week, hitting the line hard to be just a head from the winner SARASUN. Finding a handy spot in the running line will aid his chances.

PERFECT FEELING (4) was beaten by gate 7 last start after easing to secure position before closing it out in nice order to be 7m from the winner. With early speed he can position to feature.

SELECTIONS: QUEENSLANDER (7), ARKIN WICKED (6), LANCELOT BROMAC (3), PERFECT FEELING (4)
SUGGESTED BET: QUEENSLANDER (7) to win

RACE SIX

With the benefit of gate 1 IM FEELING FIREY (1) can also boast a fitness edge over the returning G1 winner CAPTAIN SHUFFLES. Those two factors might just be enough to pinch this after some handy runs in recent times. Bets of the chasers behind SLIP THE HUNDY last start, he can take his shot.

CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (7) resumes from a spell after his last appearance was victory in the 3YO Triad Final when taking them all the way over the 2138 in sharp time. A winner at 6 of 8 during his 3YO term, he has had two trials in readiness for the return and is classy enough to throw it down fresh.

THE HIGH COMMANDER (8) put in a forget effort last start when a beaten fav and fading out to finish at the rear. A model of consistency in prior outings, he secure the gate to bounce back.

UNCLE CHAN (5) will be first up for the Donny Smith stable. Freshened since his last outing when down the line over the 2138 trip, he has trialled in nice order and stays under notice fresh up.

SUGGESTED BET:  IM FEELING FIREY (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Placed in all three starts since returning this season, 3YO filly EMPRESS BYELINE (2) looks to have found the right set up to get on the board for 2023. Runner-up in her first two starts behind WISPER A SECRET and then ALTA MAGACIAN, it was BRONSKI DELIGHT last start that outshone her. She looks to get every chance this time.

OUR UNCLE NEV (5) was making his first Qld appearance when striking trouble, making an error and subsequently facing a two trial embargo. Earning the return, this looks a mores suitable assignment than his first up brief where WISPER A SECRET was too slick over the 2138. He can issue a challenge.

SARASUN (8) found the pocket trail here two starts back and chased to the line when 4m from the winner GROVE DALE. Taking them all the way from gate 5 last start, she will be searching for gaps.

BAHAMAS MISS (1) was within 3m of the winner MISS FROUFROU here three runs back and has faced tricky gate sin both runs since. Back to the good alley, she can take inside runs to feature.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (2), OUR UNCLE NEV (5), SARASUN (8), BAHAMAS MISS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Not much has really been in the favour of AMAMI (2) after his first up win earlier this season. Forced to work hard last week when sitting parked, he was just 2m from the winner REASON TO BE which followed a luckless run behind subsequent Menangle winner SPEAK THE TRUTH. He can cash in here.

STRONG RESPONSE (3) suggested a big showing was imminent after successive placings, including a tough effort from the second line when sent to sit parked. Grafting it out first over at this trip last start, it was a starchy performance in claiming a 2m winning margin and he can throw it down again.

TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (4) has missed the money just once in six career starts which included a hat-trick at his first three in succession. Fresh since a last start 3rd behind JILLIBYT CHAMBERS, he is a podium hope.

BONNIES CAM (10) was a winner at Narrabri two starts back when finishing best at the 2160m trip. Hitting the line hard last start when just a head from the winner, he can feature once again.

SELECTIONS: AMAMI (2), STRONG RESPONSE (3), TIL HEAVENS ROCKN (4), BONNIES CAM (10)
SUGGESTED BET: AMAMI (2) to win

RACE NINE

A tough winner after sitting parked from gate 6 here two starts back, SOHO CASABLANCA (1) tried to take them all the way over the 2138 last start. Fading to a midfield finish as STRONG RESPOSNE grafted out the win, a return to the mile for this contest looks suitable and he can capitalise.

ELOUISA DALE (6) was a big market drifter last start from gate 5 over the middle trip. Despite being funky gaited early, she chased hard at the close to be just 2m from the winner. The wide gate dents her chances, but she looks to have found the right type of race to issue another challenge.

NAKULA (7) resumes from a spell and does not receive many favours from the outside paint. Finishing her last campaign with successive wins, she can be thereabouts first up.

TRALEE MAXIE (8) lands his best gate to chase some minor money after copping wider gate sin recent outings. Tucked in behind with limited work, he can be probing for the openings.

SELECTIONS: SOHO CASABLANCA (1), ELOUISA DALE (6), NAKULA (7), TRALEE MAXIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

A tough, even and competitive looking veteran’s contest to end the day where COMMODORE JUJON (2) might just be able to pinch the prize. Forced to retreat from gate 5 last start, he was making nice metres when 9m in arrears of OUR MAJOR DAY. Collared late two back, this looks within reach.

KASH US BACK (1) ended a streak of 2nd placings last start when gate 10 saw him trying to make a wide run over the closing stages, finishing 9m in arrears of the winner. A passing lane 2nd the start prior behind BACK IN TWENTY, he has the gate and the options to be issuing the challenge.

ESCALERA (9) was trying to launch the closing raid last start when grabbing the silver behind OUR MAJOR DAY. Chasing for the bronze behind KANYE CRUSADER the start prior, he can be joining in.

BACK IN TWENTY (8) rolled forward over the 2138 last start and sitting parked proved too strong for the opposition to claim victory. Tucked in behind here will see him searching for gaps to feature.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (2), KASH US BACK (1), ESCALERA (9), BACK IN TWENTY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  COMMODORE JUJON (2) to win
