RACE ONE

With some tough gates in recent outings, TAIRLAW TOLL (4) was still able to overcome gate 10 last start when arriving to claim a 2m margin. A tough effort from gate 7 two starts back, he was asked to hang tough from gate 6 when 3rd to LOUS DREAM at Redcliffe three back. He can claim a repeat.

BETTERTHAN POPSY (1) is another that faces a big barrier improvement after facing the second line at his past two. Strong to the line last start when 3rd and just 1m from the winner YARRAMAN BELLA, he was runner-up to FUTURE ASSURED in slick time three back, He has all the options to challenge.

DAZZLE ME (7) faced this same gate last time out when retreating early before charging home over the mile to be just a neck form the winner. The gate jams him up again but look for him swooping.

SUGGESTED BET: TAIRLAW TOLL (4) to win

RACE TWO

It has been a frustrating campaign for CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) who has met a mixture of no luck and bumping into some smart customers. Beaten but still valiant in victory last start from gate 7 behind DANGERZONE. Placed behind TIMS A TROOPER and LEAP TO FAME before that, he lands the marble and conditions to capitalise.

MUSCLE BART (3) was a Menangle winner two starts back when locked away and defeating subsequent AP winner SOHO RHAPSODY. Not suited last week when working in the run, with a softer trip he can be issuing a challenge.

MOSSDALE MAC (6) has been hitting good areas in the midweek meetings, finishing in the quinella at his past four. Taking them all the way last start, he can bring the number to Saturday night.

SHADOW MINISTER (9) found the pocket trail last time out and was trying to issue a closing challenge when 2m from DANGERZONE. He can press through early to feature.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2), MUSCLE BART (3), MOSSDALE MAC (6), SHADOW MINISTER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) to win

RACE THREE

With a string of wide gates in recent attempts, it is nine runs since AWAYWEGO (4) has drawn this close to the poles. Making good metres in the closing stages behind BIG SHADOW last start, he was asked to sit parked from gate 6 when 4m from RED RIGHT HAND. He gets his chance to cash in.

CALL ME KEITH (1) eased from gate 5 last time and made some late metres when 8m from YARRAMAN BELLA. Chasing late to grab the bronze at Redcliffe two runs back behind CAPTAINS PICK, he lands all the options from the ace to issue the challenge.

BIG SKEWY (5) overcame gate 7 here two starts back when eased off the arm before charging home and cruising past to take a 4m margin. Beaten by an inside second line on a two-day back up at Marburg, he can feature.

SUGGESTED BET: AWAYWEGO (4) to win

RACE FOUR

After tackling open company and starting twos-on here last week, CANTFINDABETTORMAN (10) looks to have secured the ideal contest despite the tough gate. Chasing the hat-trick in that race here last week, he ran BLACKSADANCE to a blister. He looks to have their measure despite gate 10, with bigger features ahead, that’s why she’ll be back again…

MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2) has been super consistent for such a long time and lands his best gate under mobile conditions for some time after coming from the 10m tape at his past four in succession. Under 2m from TIMS A TROOPER last week in track record speed, he can challenge.

ROCK BOTTOM (5) faced gate 10 last start and was deep field when they settled and made some late metres to finish midfield. 3rd to PORT AU PRINCE two runs back, he can grab some minor money.

LIFE LAVROS (11) started from inside the second line last start and could have finished closer if a gap arrived sooner. 6m from YARRAMAN BELLA, he can be making a late raid to grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: CANTFINDABETTORMAN (10), MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2), ROCK BOTTOM (5), LIFE LAVROS (11)
SUGGESTED BET: CANTFINDABETTORMAN (10) to win

RACE FIVE

Completing a threepeat last start at his first Qld appearance, ROCKNROLL HAMMER (6) opted for the trail from gate 1 before flexing up the passing lane to claim the verdict. Gate 6 is no luxury here but with some bigger targets ahead, he can familiarise himself with the Saturday night winner’s enclosure.

BIG SHADOW (1) was closing out in nice style two runs back when runner-up to RED RIGHT HAND in a heat of this Series. Making the most of an improved gate last time out, he took control early and wsa able to carve out a career PB on the front end. He has the gate to make them chase.

RED RIGHT HAND (9) is chasing a hat-trick of victories after successive wins at this trip, the latest when rattling home in claim a career PB. Proven effective off speed, look for him charging in the stretch.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (8) was shuffled to three back on the poles last week and when the gap opened, launched to get within a head of the winner ROCKNROLL HAMMER. He will be looking for the gap.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL HAMMER (6), BIG SHADOW (1), RED RIGHT HAND (9), BETTERTHANAROCKET (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-8-9

RACE SIX

Charging home in the closing stages after being a long way off them in the run, TURN IT UP (1) was still under 2m from the winner HOT AND TREACHEROUS in the Flashing Red. He holds the keys to the contest and can choose to who, if at all, he releases for the trail. The distance is no issue as he chases win 31.

BONDI LOCKDOWN (6) had four starts earlier in the season after joining the McCarthy stable which peaked with a last start victory in a $100k feature on Miracle Mile night. Returning with victory over ALTA ORLANDO from gate 10, where he maps in the run looks confusing over the 13 furlongs.

I CAST NO SHADOW (11) returns for another tilt at the Constellations Carnival and tackles this second up from a spell. Resuming when 3rd to SOUTH COAST ARDEN in a sub 50 mile, he can make his presence felt.

BLACKSADANCE (12) overcame gate 7 to claim victory at the 2138 here last week after throwing down a 53.5 closing half on the engine. The outside second line makes this task forlorn.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (1), BONDI LOCKDOWN (6), I CAST NO SHADOW (11), BLACKSADANCE (12)
SUGGESTED BET:  TURN IT UP (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Facing this same gate last time out when snagged back to find position in the early stages, SOHO RHAPSODY (6) attacked the line and had the closing speed to arrive for a 6m victory. That followed a half-head 2nd to MUSCLE BART and although facing an ask again from 6, she can chase the repeat.

CAT KING COLE (7) faces the ODM embargo after getting fizzy and causing a false start at her latest start. Off her game, she faded after initially finding the front and then releasing at the second attempt. Forgiving that second up effort after a first up victory, she has the class to throw it down.

SAILOR GIRL (1) arrived in Qld chasing a hat-trick of victories when runner-up to ALEXIA ROSE at her first outing. Bouncing back to winning form last week, she has the gate to chime in again.

JO AN JO (9) takes her first look at this deck, arriving with a last start 5th behind TAIPO in a 51 mile at Menangle. A Bathurst winner three runs back, she can follow through to feature.

SELECTIONS: SOHO RHAPSODY (6), CAT KING COLE (7), SAILOR GIRL (1), JO AN JO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SOHO RHAPSODY (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Still just a 3YO filly to tackle the older mares for this contest, SAVEEON (9) joins the Rickie Alchin barn for Winter campaign. An effortless Bathurst winner two starts back when starting deep into the red, she was 5m from SMALTESE after facing gate 10 at Menangle last start. With bigger features on the radar, she can start with a win here.

RACY ROXY (7) had gate 1 here last week and looked to have her chance after a cheap lead and then a steady second panel. Collared up the passing lane by ZENXENA to finish with the silver, she cops the outside alley here. Placed in three of four since resuming, she can look to issue a challenge.

WONDERWOMAN JUJON (3) was midfield here two starts back after a cheap pole trip chasing ALEXIA ROSE. Bouncing back to winning form at Redcliffe last start, she is a podium player here.

PRAY TELL (10) joins the travelling Grimson team from the Sunraysia district of Victoria. Well covered in some recent appearances, the first up strike rate of the stable warrants respect.

SELECTIONS: SAVEEON (9), RACY ROXY (7), WONDERWOMAN JUJON (3), ALEXIA ROSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SAVEEON (9) to win

RACE NINE

A marble finally falls in the favour of DAN FERNANDO (1) and with this also an easier line up than what he has met in recent attempts, all the favours are his. Repelled and finding the trail when runner-up two runs back, he worked too hard last start. He looks to get every hope.

ASTERISM (5) was wide off the track after facing a second line gate at Marburg las time out. Midfield the start prior after retreating and searching for short cuts up the inside. Still an AP maiden, he can get forward and if able to limit the workload in transit, can be issuing a challenge.

BURNS BAY (6) took the trail from gate 1 last start and using the passing lane ran the leader and winner SIR RICHARD LEE to a half-neck. The wider gate dents the chances here.

LANOCH BOY (8) maps to get the ideal trip in behind the speed and will be awaiting the gap to make his play for a heftier return. 3rd to BIG SKEWY last start, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: DAN FERNANDO (1), ASTERISM (5), BURNS BAY (6), LANOCH BOY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DAN FERNANDO (1) to win

RACE TEN

It will be a tough ask from gate 6 but PRINCESS LEIA (6) looks up to the task following her two Qld appearances. Sent to sit parked last start when midfield to ZENXENA, she chased for the silver behind SOHO RHAPSODY the start prior. With the right trip, she can defy the gate.

TALENT TO SPARE (7) is hard to gauge where she is at after two runs back from 12 months off the scene. Rearward in both of those outings, she was trying to make ground from deep field last start after facing a second line gate and tempo was against. Anywhere near her best she can challenge.

DELIGHTFUL LOU (8) faces a tricky ask from this gate but would only need a sniff of luck to be taking this. Placed her past three, if the gap arrives in time, a win would be no surprise.

OH DADDY (10) has placed once in her five appearances here at The Creek, which coincided with her only start closer than gate 5. With the right tempo she can chime in to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: PRINCESS LEIA (6), TALENT TO SPARE (7), DELIGHTFUL LOU (8), OH DADDY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
