RACE ONE

After two runs back from a spell where she has been able to place in both, BOURBONONTHEROCKS (3) looks to find the ideal set up to go one better than her last start 2nd placing. That was behind GUS after settling in the trail. The only query is her seeing out the 13 furlongs, but this looks her chance.

CUCHULAINN (8) comes as a travelling companion in the Svanosio team and brings a last start Bendigo 2nd into the considerations. That was behind subsequent winner HESALLMUSCLE, while two starts back he tackled a strong contest claimed by LETTUCE TROT. He can throw it down here.

REGAL APPOINTMENT (4) settled on the poles last start from a similar lane and was just out of the money as GUS scored a smart win. Struggling to get back to his best this season, he is in the mix.

INSTANT DELIGHT (1) comes out of the DJA Series after her chances expired in the second round with an error. With a soft trip behind the speed, she can flash some closing speed to feature.

SELECTIONS: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (3), CUCHULAINN (8), REGAL APPOINTMENT (4), INSTANT DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Opening her account last start at career start 27, MARLEY NOVA (6) might just have found the right set up to go again. Finding the trail last week off the front tape and then darting clear in the stretch for a 13m margin, if she can get the right trip from the 20, the repeat is within reach.

WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (2) has been to the track four times since resuming for his 4YO season and made errors in three of those. His one run where he was able to put it together, was a 7m 3rd behind GUS. If he can step and trot for all of the 2138m journey, he is up to the task in a wide-open affair.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (12) will need to overcome the 50m back mark but this is a fair drop in grade from Saturday’s Great Square. Bereft of luck in that when carted back, he can swoop here.

SET ME FREE (4) has been out in front at her past two starts but been unable to see them through. Runner-up to MARLEY NOVA last week who had the cold sit, she can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: MARLEY NOVA (6), WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (2), MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (12), SET ME FREE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

A filly making her Aus debut following her arrival from NZ, SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10) is given no favours from the outside second line. Arriving with a pair of unplaced runs, she trialled sharply in readiness for her local debut.

SUGGESTED BET: SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10) to win

RACE FOUR

Still just a maiden and tackling some far more experienced performers here, HASTY BID (1) has put in the runs of an impending winner at his past two appearances. Rattling home from deep field behind DELILAHS GIRL last start, he ran SWEET GEORGIA BROWN to a half-neck two back.

SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (9) was impressive on debut where she was able to take them all the way and claim a neck margin. Taking benefit from that appearance, she can take the added experience and chasing the speed here can issue a challenge.

BLACKJACK BETH (3) forced the issue here last week to take control and from the front was able to see it out with a head to spare. Runner-up in both previous attempts, she is in the mix to repeat.

SUGGESTED BET: HASTY BID (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Placed in four of his past five starts, can RECIPE FOR DREAMING (4) end a win drought that is fast approaching 12-months in duration. ROLLED IN GOLD (11) was beaten by gate 6 last start after retreating yet her close out was full of merit from deep field when 5m from BLACKJACK BETH. Striking trouble two starts back, she can look to run on late to issue a challenge.

LANCELOT BROMAC (10) started form gate 10 at the mile here last week and was charging home to be just a head in arrears of the winner. The middle trip is not his real go to, but he can chime in.

HESLUVABLE (2) has had four attempts at the AP 2138 where he has returned one minor placing. Beaten in the last stride at Redcliffe last start, he has the gate to be prominent.

Despite being winless in recent starts, the sectional performance of OBI ONE (2) has been solid. Luckless last start and still not too far from the winner TIZ A SIZZLER, he was snagged back from gate 5 here two back yet still closed in nice style. He can fire out early here to avail the options thereafter.

FEAR CRUISIN (4) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and was best of the chasers behind TIZ A SIZZLER. Just a head from TAIRLAW TOLL two starts back, he can force the issue here and if able to get across to set the tempo, will take plenty of catching.

ITS MR CLOONEY (7) was wide for a long way last time out and after the tough trip, finished near the rear. Tackling the Redcliffe Cup two starts back when shuffled back in the run, he can feature here.

WARFARE (6) started from 10m in the Redcliffe Cup consolation where he made an error at the start and was too far back to get into the contest. The wide gate stings, but back to this grade is a plus.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Asked to sit parked over the mile last start at his first run back in Qld, HOLY CAMP DILLON (10) proved too tough and was able to grind out a 3m margin. The second line makes it a tricky ask, but off the effort of that victory, he can look to get a cart home to stake his claim.

O B LEGAL (2) has returned from a spell in nice order, winning when resuming at Redcliffe before closing out in nice style last start when 3rd to DARK TERROR. Settling handy to the action from this gate, he can be in position to throw down a challenge.

GIRL FROM OZ (3) pressed hard for the front last time out and was able to take control and look to dictate. Gunned down over the latter stages, she can look to control this and be up for the fight.

MISTY CREEK (11) faces a significant class drop into this contest but is afforded no favours from the gate. Hanging tough behind CAPTAIN SHUFFLES on Saturday night, he won’t be too far away.

SUGGESTED BET:

DESPONDENT (1) has the arm hustle to decide where he positions, and last start tried to take them all the way at the mile. Fading out two starts back at this trip, taking a trail can see him feature.

SUGGESTED BET: TAIRLAW TOLL (4) to win

RACE ELEVEN

BRONSKI DELIGHT (10) tried to see it out from the front last start from gate 2 but had no answer to WHERES OUR MONEY when finishing with the bronze. Down the line in the Redcliffe Oaks the start prior, the second line makes it a tough ask, but with the right tempo she can arrive.

LULU MAE (4) found the pocket trail at this trip two starts back and was best of the chasing pack behind THE BEAUDEN BLUES. Snagged off the arm from gate 7 last start, she was strong to the line when 5m adrift of the winner. She has the early speed to secure a position and issue a challenge.
