RACE ONE

With three of the four 2YO trotters making their debut, JUSTABITLIKESULLY (4) with his three career starts can look to exploit the experience factor. With this race also over the 2138, the extra distance should suit the gelding who is fresh off his last appearance in late May.

GAIT WITH GRACE (1) is a My High Expectations filly out of Norah Jones which makes her a full brother to DEXTROUS DEXTER and a glad to the twelve-time winner Norahs Fling. Doing everything right in recent trials, she can look to start her career in style.

MIRA STAURN (3) is a filly by Wishing Stone out of the unraced mare Amelia Irene. Trotting cleanly to qualify against older performers, she is a well related filly.

ICANTDOIT (2) is a daughter of the seven-time winner Illdoitwhenimready, making her a half to the smart 4YO YOU NO ILL BE LATE. She will take great benefit from the race experience.

SELECTIONS: JUSTABITLIKESULLY (4), GAIT WITH GRACE (1), MIRA STAURN (3), ICANTDOIT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTABITLIKESULLY (4) to win

RACE THREE

One of the most consistent performer through the recent DJA Series FUNNY FACE (12) was under 2m from the winner JACCKA WATCH in the Final. Slicing between runners and weaving a passage in that contest, she looks well placed at 20m here and just needs to avoid traffic to capitalise.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (2) will appreciate a return to the 2138 after tackling the 13 furlongs last week, a trip where she tends to be more vulnerable. Runner-up to GUS at this trip two starts back, she can settle handy enough to throw down a challenge.

MADEAKILLIN (11) was first up in Qld when tackling a softer contest at Marburg last time out, but he made a statement. Shattering the track record from a 40m handicap, he is a gazelle off the tapes.

ZEALOUS SPUR (9) struck trouble in the first round of the DJA before a bounce back victory in round two. Strong to the line in the final, he can be making a play here to feature.

SELECTIONS: FUNNY FACE (12), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (2), MADEAKILLIN (11), ZEALOUS SPUR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FUNNY FACE (12) to win

RACE FOUR

After two runs back from a let up where he has not been suited from the barrier, ROCKON ROCKY (1) secures the marble to chase the account opener. Striking trouble last week but still not that far from the winner, he has the arm hustle and options to capitalise here.

JOEYS ON A ROLL (2) returned from a spell in the heats of the recent APG Series where he made some nice closing metres behind the subsequent Final winner BALBOA ROCK. Placed ion 5 of his 9 career starts, he will strip fitter and has the gate to issue a challenge.

SHEER ARTISTRY (10) was a smart 2nd on debut after being asked to grind it out first over when finishing 3m from the leader and winner WHATA LEGACY. The gate makes it a tough ask.

TEDDY TURPIN (8) is one of just two foals sired by the former speedster Mattgregor and is the first foal of the six-time winner Opononis Bliss. He maps for a soft trip on debut.

SELECTIONS: ROCKON ROCKY (1), JOEYS ON A ROLL (2), SHEER ARTISTRY (10), TEDDY TURPIN (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

IMA BIRUBI BOY (1)
was not suited at the 2040 at Redcliffe last start which followed a similarly unsuited run from outside the second line at Redcliffe. With the early hustle to burrow through here, he finds his chance to bounce back into some winning form.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (8) cost himself any chance of victory at Marburg last start when making an error from outside the second line. Pressing forward to dominate at Redcliffe two starts back from a wide gate, he should secure the ideal trip in behind the speed here to issue a challenge.

HESLUVABLE (9) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest here over the 2138 where he could not hold them off in the closing stages. Beaten a pimple two back, he can be joining in.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10) has paced at his last four runs in succession, three of those here in this grade. A beaten fav here last week, he will be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (1), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (8), HESLUVABLE (9), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8-9-10

RACE SIX

ARKIN WICKED (3)
started from inside the second line last start and never saw open space and would have been closer with a cleaner passage. 3rdf behind DOUGS PLATTER two starts back, he can look for the front here and taking control will be hard to hold out.

BUSHY BEACH (10) was making his Aus debut over the 2138 here last time out when settled int eh 1x1 trail before finishing over the top of them to claim, a narrow margin. Taking benefit from that maiden breaking win, he can be closing out hard to challenge here.

BLACKJACK BETH (1) was a winner here two starts back when sent forward to take control and once in front held on for a narrow victory. With all the options from the gate, she is in the mix.

BRONSKI DELIGHT (6) is afforded no favours from the wide gate but was strong to the line last time when runner-up behind MYDADSAID. With even luck she can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ARKIN WICKED (3), BUSHY BEACH (10), BLACKJACK BETH (1), BRONSKI DELIGHT (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  ARKIN WICKED (3),

RACE SEVEN

Gate 7 was no problem for TITIAN RAIDER (6) here two starts back when sent hard in search of the front and once in control, held on for a 2m margin. A beaten fav when a long last behind CAPTAIN SHUFFLES last time out, he might need to grind this out but looks up to the task.

HY VOLTAGE (5) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when using the passing lane for the bronze as AMERICAN OUTLAW arrived out wide. The gate is a little awkward for this contest.

GIRL FROM OZ (1) was not too far away from the 1x1 trail last time out which followed a midfield return after looking to lead throughout. She has the options here to grab some minor money.

OUR ACTION MAN (8) was asked to grind it out first over last start at the mile and despite the tough trip was not too far from the winner. Darting through to score here two back, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: TITIAN RAIDER (6), HY VOLTAGE (5), GIRL FROM OZ (1), OUR ACTION MAN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TITIAN RAIDER (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

With some tough gates on his Winter campaign, ROCKOKOKO (4) has found some of the classier 3YOs a little too slippery. Unable to get into it over the closing stages last start in the South East Derby behind ON DEADLINE, he was not too far from DOUGS PLATTER two back. This looks ideal.

ELOUISA DALE (9) started from outside the second line last time out and did not have the smoothest passage when trying to make ground against the tempo. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, she looks better suited up front but can still get the right trail to challenge here.

LUVBITE (2) was first up for the new stable last start when holding on for the bronze as ROCKNROLL TIMES dictated in front. Missing the money just once this season, he can be thereabouts again.

BLING THE LUCK (1) has not had much go her way in recent starts and with the options available from the ace, secures her chance. Beaten a neck from the trail three back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ROCKOKOKO (4), ELOUISA DALE (9), LUVBITE (2), BLING THE LUCK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKOKOKO (4) to win

RACE NINE

Building towards a win since returning for his latest campaign, TIZ A SIZZLER (6) was able to deliver last start when powering over the top to claim a 6m margin in nice style. Under 2m from the flying TAIRLAW TOLL the start prior, the gate is awkward, but he looks up to the challenge.

SURF ACE (2) does not have great numbers to recommend his chances, but he looks better suited under the conditions here. Snagged off the arm from gate 7 last start, he chased in vain as did the whole field behind SWAYZEE the start prior. From this gate, he can turn his fortunes around.

MYMATEPOG (9) could not go with the speedster TAIPO last start when finishing near the rear. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, the conditions of this race look more favourable for him to feature.

WARFARE (4) has been staying out of any early speed battles in recent times and easing early here in what could be a hot tempo will give him a closing chance.

SELECTIONS: TIZ A SIZZLER (6), SURF ACE (2), MYMATEPOG (9), WARFARE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TIZ A SIZZLER (6) to win

RACE TEN

Tackling the South East Derby last start, SPIRIT OF ARION (2) rolled forward from gate 5 and after being exposed early then received cover but struggled to run on. A smart winner two runs back at Menangle, he can press for the front and will be better suited if on the engine.

LUKE JOHN (8) sat deep field last start over the 2138 and when angled wider on the track attacked the line to claim a 4m margin. Chasing in vain against the tempo the start prior, he looks set for the soft trip here and can issue a closing challenge when the gap presents.

ROCKNROLL TIMES (1) holds the keys to this contest, a slick beginner who does his best work out in front. Taking control last start and seeing it out in smart time, early tactics will be key.

DARK TERROR (10) showed plenty of starch in his victory from gate 6 last start where he defeated subsequent feature winner WHATA ROLLER. The gate makes it a tough ask this time.

SELECTIONS: SPIRIT OF ARION (2), LUKE JOHN (8), ROCKNROLL TIMES (1), DARK TERROR (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE ELEVEN

Sweating on being handed a favourable gate after facing the outside of the front line at Redcliffe at his past two, HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (1) should relish his opportunity from the ace on the big deck. Luckless last start when searching for gaps that didn’t appear, he can capitalise.

OBI ONE (8) was snookered away three back on the poles last week and when the gap opened, he charged hard to get within a blister of the winner. He maps for the softest of trip here and will be waiting for the gap to issue the challenge.

ROCK BOTTOM (9) has the option to chase a three poles trip here and with the fence a great spot to trail, will be ready to issue a stretch play.

LIFE LAVROS (10) chased for the bronze behind TAIRLAW TOLL last start which followed a tough 3rd after sitting parked. He has podium claims again here.

SELECTIONS: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY (1), OBI ONE (8), ROCK BOTTOM (9), LIFE LAVROS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY / OBI ONE (1/8) quinella / exacta
