RACE ONE

A tricky contest to open the card with this being the second division of the FFA event under the divided conditions. ALTA REVELRY (10) was always facing a huge ask last start in the 4YO Championship after landing gate 11. Tackling the Rising Sun the start prior, this is a welcome drop in grade where he can descend on them.

OUR ACTION MAN (6) settled rearward from outside the second line last time out and was at the mercy of the tempo as MR MCLAREN carved it out in front. Darting through along the passing lane two starts back, the early mapping looks confusing here, but he has the form to challenge.

MYMATEPOG (8) eased from gate 6 here last week and the sub 55 half in front put the task out of reach. Strong to the line behind TIZ A SIZZLER here two starts back, he will be probing for the gaps.

ITS MR CLOONEY (3) was asked to sit parked last week, and the tough trip took the toll as he faded late. An outside second line gate two back was his undoing and from a forward spot, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ALTA REVELRY (10), OUR ACTION MAN (6), MYMATEPOG (8), ITS MR CLOONEY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTA REVELRY (10) to win

RACE THREE

An even line up in this second division band 5 contest with many chasing a return to winning form. The map for CAPTAINS PICK (1) might be the difference as he backs up from Tuesday where he made some nice closing metres when 8m from the flying ROCK SUPREME. He has all the options.

SURF ACE (2) was trying to make late metres last start from deep in the pack as ALTA SENSATION landed the loot. Setting the tempo in front the start prior where a sub 27 opener was his undoing, if he can secure an easier time int eh early stages, he might just be up for the challenge.

IM FEELING FIREY (7) faces a stiff task out wide but his last start was an eye catcher when rattling late to be 4m from the winner ELOUISA DALE. Close up the start prior, the fuse might just be lit early.

BETTERTHAN POPSY (4) was beaten by a wide gate last start where he retreated to secure position and then could not work into the contest as RED RIGHT HAND controlled it. He can roll forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS PICK (1), SURF ACE (2), IM FEELING FIREY (7), BETTERTHAN POPSY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

A solid line up is assembled for this qualifier where the front-line tempo looks to set up a genuine clip. In top form since arriving in Qld, BIG SHADOW (11) was game after being left parked last start. A big winner in sharp time at Redcliffe two back, he will be looking to descend on them.

METALLICA MAN (5) claimed the $100k Newcastle Regional Championship three starts back when sent to the front over the 2030 where he kept them rolling to take the prize. Sent for a freshen, he struck trouble when resuming and can look to bounce back here to throw it down.

DARK TERROR (3) scored a big win here last week in a 70Final when working forward from gate 6 and sitting wide for a long way before claiming a 1m margin. He has the gate to make them earn it.

BOSCH (8) was attacking the line strongly last start when beaten a head behind APOLLO DREAMZ with not much going his way since arriving in Qld. With Scott Hewitt departing, he joins the Shane Graham barn.

SELECTIONS: BIG SHADOW (11), METALLICA MAN (5), DARK TERROR (3), BOSCH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG SHADOW (11) to win

RACE FIVE

This is her toughest test since arriving in Qld, but ELOUISA DALE (2) comes up with the right gate to chase a hat-trick of victories. Sent to the front last start, she was able to claim a 2m margin well within herself. Overcoming the second line two starts back, Leader Peter will be doing his thing.

RACY ROXY (6) rolled forward last start and was left exposed outside the leader with the tough trip leading to her fading late as a 55.4 opening half was rolled into a 54.7 closing half. Charging home when just a head away in the Rising Sun Consolation, in this company she can throw it down.

SARAH ANNE (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint, but she has been meeting some strong opposition in recent starts. 4th behind MR MCLAREN last start, she can be charging home.

TALENT TO SPARE (5) backs up from Tuesday where she tackled the 2138m trip and returned a tidy effort to be just 4m from CAPTAIN SHUFFLES. Back to the mile is a big boost.

SELECTIONS: ELOUISA DALE (2), RACY ROXY (6), SARAH ANNE (7), TALENT TO SPARE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ELOUISA DALE (2) to win

RACE SIX

Bereft of luck when it comes to snaring a marble, BIG SKEWY (3) finally gets tight on the front line. Drawn gate 5 or wider at his past 8 starts, it was mission impossible from back in the pack last start as BEACH VILLA ripped home in 54.5 from the front. This looks his chance to capitalise.

BLACKJACK BART (1) has worked his way into some form and line up here chasing a hat-trick of victories after successive Redcliffe wins. Darting through along the passing lane last start from inside the second line, he steps up in opposition here but secures the right alley to challenge.

ZOOM PARTY (11) has been in super form since arriving with Ronny Sallis and stepped up to Saturday night grade last week when charging home for 3rd. Look for him swooping late again.

CANT BLUFF YOU (8) should secure an economical trip in behind the action and be searching for late gaps. Just a head away last week after closing hard, if the gap opens, he can make a raid.

SELECTIONS: BIG SKEWY (3), BLACKJACK BART (1), ZOOM PARTY (11), CANT BLUFF YOU (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  BIG SKEWY (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

A good quality mare’s qualifier has attracted a strong line up to chase the extended stakes. Left behind in Qld, ARMA RENEGADE (2) joins the Shane Graham team after a tidy 3rd here last week from gate 7 when 4m from MAGICAL MAYA. The improved gate is a huge boost to her chances.

HEAVENLY SIGN (4) heads North for NSW trainer Ty Robson and brings some sharp form as she goes in search of a hat-trick of victories. Angled off the inside to work around the field last start at Newcastle, she scored a stylish victory in good time. She can settle close enough to issue a challenge.

PRINCESS LEIA (1) does not really have the best numbers next to her name since arriving in Qld, however a deeper dive shows she has not been too far away. Gate 1 gives her the options.

ALEXIA ROSE (8) grabbed the bronze last week in a blanket finish where she was only an eyelash away from victory. Doing her best work out in front, she will be forced to chase from the inside.

SELECTIONS: ARMA RENEGADE (2), HEAVENLY SIGN (4), PRINCESS LEIA (1), ALEXIA ROSE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ARMA RENEGADE (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

This is a second division qualifier for the mare’s balloted from race 7 where GOLDIES A DELIGHT (1) can bring up a half-century of race starts in style. Driven hard and three-wide for the first 600 metres at Redcliffe two starts back, she was still able to finish them off and can stalk the speed here.

JILLIBY CHAMBERS (2) darted across to set the speed at Redcliffe last start where she only had to sprint up the stretch to put them away. At her best when setting the tempo, she can look to light the lamps here and be gripping on as they approach the wire.

MISS DAYTONA (5) started from inside the second line last time out and was soon eased off the inside into the running line, A one-paced type, she can keep grafting it out here to feature.

SHEREACTS (3) eased to the poles here last week from this same gate and held ground in the closing stages to be 6m astern of the winner. A smart winner two back at Marburg, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (1), JILLIBY CHAMBERS (2), MISS DAYTONA (5), SHEREACTS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (1) to win

RACE NINE

Many pundits suggested the only way that LEAP TO FAME (7) would be beaten in the G1 Grand Circuit event last time out would be bad luck. In a cruel turn of events the bad luck materialised in the form of a bung wheel. This is no Grand Circuit race, and he will dispose of The opposition.

BIG WHEELS (5) was snagged off the arm in the Blacks A Fake last start after landing gate 6 and from back in the pack was then out of play with all the action dictated from the front. Collared in the last strides two starts back by TIMS A TROOPER, mapping is a concern in his quest for the upset.

MR MCLAREN (6) has been a super acquisition for the Turpin stable and has secured five wins here at The Creek, including the past two in succession. He does face a big rise here into the FFA ranks, but his form cannot be denied.

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3) had the sit on MC MCLAREN here last week but could not reel him in when holding 2nd in a strong last 800. He will be forward enough to be in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (7), BIG WHEELS (5), MR MCLAREN (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

Making a mess of the start in The Great Square under mobile start conditions, GUS (6) put in a super performance to get as close as he did behind LONDON TO A BRICK. Claiming a sharp victory here on Tuesday where he was forced to work and run close to a long-standing track record, he can repeat.

FUNNY FACE (6) was hitting the line strongly in the closing stages of the DJA Final when grabbing the bronze behind JACCKA WATCH. Franking that with successive wins since that feature final, she charged home from the 30m tape last start for a smart victory and will be throwing it down again.

ZEALOUS SPUR (8) was safely away from the 10m tape here last week and after sitting back early, continued to press forward and able to grind out the victory. Hitting good areas recently, he can feature.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (10) settled in the running line from a second line gate last start in the Qld Trotters Cup where he chased hard to be just out of the money behind MAJESTIC TRIO. He is right in this.

SELECTIONS: GUS (6), FUNNY FACE (6), ZEALOUS SPUR (8), SIR FAHRENHEIT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: GUS (6) to win

RACE ELEVEN

Building towards a victory after three successive placings, SOAP OPERA (2) found the ideal conditions last start to open her account. Trailing the leader, as they straightened, she had the speed to angle into space and dart away to claim victory. From this gate, she can chase the repeat.

MILLIEWOOD (3) opened her account last start at Redcliffe when sent across them early to set the speed. Fresh up since that victory, she can look for some early hustle again here.

FREMONT STREET (4) made the most of an improved gate last start to claim the maiden breaking victory at Redcliffe. Taking some further experience and confidence, he can build on that here.

BEACHRIDE (5) was sent forward to sit parked last start and despite the tough trip, was still fighting to hold a midfield position. Holding on for the bronze two starts back, he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: SOAP OPERA (2), MILLIEWOOD (3), FREMONT STREET (4), BEACHRIDE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOAP OPERA (2) to win
