RACE ONE

Building towards another win, the conditions look right for THE REAPER (3) to show his manners and get away safely. Working home wide out last start when chasing EN MASSE, he held on for the bronze two starts back. If he can get across them early, he can look to capitalise.

FENOMENAL (6) was sent around them to sit parked last week after coming from the 40m handicap and was game in finishing just a neck adrift of the winner EN MASSE. Starting 10m closer than last week, he has hit some form after a win two back and can get forward to throw down the challenge.

AURORA (2) is safe away and from the front tape can be close to the speed. Using inside runs for the bronze last start, she can be chasing another minor here.

EN MASSE (4) took the trail here last week and when asked to sprint in the stretch, had the speed to arrive for a neck margin. Placed in both prior runs, she can feature again.

SELECTIONS: THE REAPER (3), FENOMENAL (6), AURORA (2), EN MASSE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THE REAPER (3) to win

RACE THREE

The C&G Triad consolation and like the fillies, it looks a tough contest to pull apart. MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (3) had an early look in his heat before finding the spot three back on the inside and then making a move at the 600 but was no match for BRONSKI ZULU. If he can cross, he can give cheek.

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (1) found the 1x1 trail in a small field last time out before angling back to the passing lane in the stretch and sprinting sharply to claim victory. Buried from inside the second line in his Triad heat, he has the options to cash in once again.

CALL TO ORDER (8) is still chasing the maiden breaking victory which continues to get closer after placing at his past three in succession. Looming up last start and holding 2nd, he will be probing.

TAKE A CHANCE (5) was only 4m from GLENEAGLE VEE CEE last start in the small field after throwing his chances away in the Triad heat with an error. Limiting the burn can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (3), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (1), CALL TO ORDER (8), TAKE A CHANCE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

Snagged back from gate 6 last start to settle rearward on the inside, LANAI (5) was hoping for some luck when hitting the line strongly in the latter stages to be 4m from the winner PRESS STATEMENT. Strong to the line from gate 7 two starts back, the tempo looks right for him to arrive.

MIGHTY GEORGE (3) will strip fitter from his latest assignment where he was second up from a spell. Finding the 1x1 trail from this same alley, he was strong to the line for 3rd behind NOT THE KINGSWOOD. With a similar run, he can be issuing the challenge again.

LUVBITE (7) has no favours from the outside paint and with some pressure expected in the early stages, might be easing to find position. 3rd behind KASH US BACK two runs back, he can join in.

IM BOO (9) could not get warm here last week as PRESS STATEMENT dictated in front. Fading two runs back after sitting parked, he can follow thorough and look for some improvement.

SELECTIONS: LANAI (5), MIGHTY GEORGE (3), LUVBITE (7), IM BOO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LANAI (5) to win

RACE FIVE

The Triad consolation for the 3YO Fillies where the biggest challenge many of these will face is seeing out the 2138 trip. EMPRESS BYELINE (3) is the only runner in the field with winning form at the distance and achieved that when leading throughout from gate 6. From this gate she can dictate.

AURORA JOY (4) settled in the 1x1 trail last start at this trip but could not get warm when it was time to get rolling, finishing midfield behind MERRY DANCER. Wide off the track from gate 12 in the heat and picking off some late metres, she can settle handy enough to challenge.

BLACKJACK BETH (7) is given no favours from the outside alley after a midfield finish in the heat behind MIKI MAGIC. Beaten in red figures at Redcliffe two starts back, she has podium claims.

MY GIRL MANDY (5) was locked away last start at Redcliffe when finishing 6m from the winner TUNGSTEN TERROR. Just 6m from MULLUM RUBY in the heat, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (3), AURORA JOY (4), BLACKJACK BETH (7), MY GIRL MANDY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (3) to win

RACE SIX

A winner in two of his four since arriving in Qld, KALYPSO SAM (7) faces the tough gate here but finds a race that should generate some good tempo. Making the most of gate 1 to lead throughout in a PB last start, he was game when 2m from subsequent G1 winner QUIK CHANGE two back.

JET FORCE (9) fired out to take control last start at Redcliffe and from the front was never headed to score a 2m victory. Buried in the run two starts back, he can trail through early from this gate and if the tempo matches what looks likely on paper, he can be in a position to challenge.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (8) was a winner here four runs back after settling deep field and attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to be just 2m from the winner. With a soft trip, he will be probing.

ROCKNROLL MAX (6) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest when just a half-neck from the winner at Redcliffe. Strong to the line here three starts back when 3rd, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: KALYPSO SAM (7), JET FORCE (9), IMA BIRUBI BOY (8), ROCKNROLL MAX (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  KALYPSO SAM (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

The consolation of the 3YO C&G Triad where the 9 runners combined have 18 attempts beyond 2000m for zero wins and the same number of placings. MISTER DOMINGO (3) was asked to sit parked in the heat and faded as APOLLO DREAMZ dictated. If he can cross, he can see it out.

ENGLISH DANCE (9) was sent forward from gate 4 over the 1780 at Redcliffe two starts back and despite a tough trip was able to grind out the victory. Out matched in the heats when rearward behind HOLD ONTO YA BLING, he can be joining in here.

GOTTA GO TORQUE (5) eased to the fence and was hoping for some luck and shortcuts when down the line behind APOLLO DREAMZ last time out. Positioning cheaply will be key to his hopes.

OLLIE OLLIE (8) will secure an economical trip against the markers and be searching for gaps in the closing stages. Beaten a head here two starts back behind MAJOR ICON, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DOMINGO (3), ENGLISH DANCE (9), GOTTA GO TORQUE (5), OLLIE OLLIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DOMINGO (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Yet to snare a victory in 2023, MIDNIGHT CALM (3) was a beaten fav last start from gate 4 over the middle trip. Settling in the running line and finishing 7m from KASH US BACK, it followed a 4m 3rd in a 70Final the start prior behind DARK TERROR. He can force the issue here to put the power on.

HESTON ZOOLANDER (9) was first up from a let up here last week when sent to the front from gate 3 and once in control was able to hold a 5m margin in a new PB time. The second line makes the task tougher second up, but with the right trail can look to issue a challenge.

MIGHT AS WELL (6) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when using the passing lane for the bronze behind ALWAYSBME. The wide gate dents her chances, but tempo will help her cause.

MO SZYSLAK (10) returns from a freshen after his last appearance came when down the line behind DON HUGO. With a soft trip first up, he can sprint off speed late to feature.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT CALM (3), HESTON ZOOLANDER (9), MIGHT AS WELL (6), MO SZYSLAK (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MIDNIGHT CALM (3) to win

RACE NINE

On the back up from Friday night where he claimed a B2-4 event, HY VOLTAGE (5) can look to make it 10 wins here at The Creek. Staying out of the early speed duel in that contest, he had the closing speed to arrive. With good speed out of the machine, he can go forward or back and still take this.

DARK TERROR (7) has run the quinella at his past five in succession, the past two when leading them home. Grinding out a tough win last start when claiming a neck margin, the form out of that race has held up, with four subsequent winners in the beaten brigade. The gate hurts chasing the threepeat.

AUNTY BELLA (4) settled in the 1x1 trail last time out and was sound to the line behind OUR ACTION MAN. Taking benefit from that run where she was fresh up, she can be handy enough to chime in.

COPPERFIELD (1) was buried three back on the inside last start as HESTON ZOOLANDER dictated from the front. Using the passing lane when 5m away two starts back, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: HY VOLTAGE (5), DARK TERROR (7), AUNTY BELLA (4), COPPERFIELD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HY VOLTAGE (5) to win

RACE TEN

Large in victory after sitting parked last start, THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6) pulled clear over the closing stages of the 1660m event to claim a 7m margin. Luckless in defeat two starts back after being buried in the run and needing space that did not arrive, she can chase the repeat.

HAPPY GO LINCY (2) will be looking to remain undefeated in Qld after making 2 from 2 last start after taking the trail from gate 1. Right lined at the top of the stretch, he pulled away to claim the victory, the form franked with both placed runners winning since. He can chase the threepeat.

GWYNETH P (8) has been sectionally super in recent starts, the latest when attacking the line smartly behind ALWAYSBME. Likely to be buried away from this gate, she can be rattling late.

ISNTTHATRIGHT (1) will take some benefit from his latest appearance where he was returning from a spell from inside the second line. With a soft peg trip, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6), HAPPY GO LINCY (2), GWYNETH P (8), ISNTTHATRIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-8

RACE ELEVEN

Appreciating the drop back to veteran’s company last start at the mile, MYMATEPOG (11) was revved up early from gate 4 to take control and once in front was never in danger. Sneaking back in again with the concession claim, he can overcome the gate to chalk up another.

DESPONDENT (2) was asked to grind it out first over last start after sliding across from gate 6 at the mile and finishing midfield to MYMATEPOG. Taking the trail and using the passing lane when 8m from APHORISM two starts back, he has the early speed to find the poles and throw it down.

APHORISM (10) cashed in here two starts back after easing from gate 6 and then finishing over the top to claim a 3m margin. Firing some closing bullets when a half-head away last start, he has claims.

SWAGGIE SHANNON (8) backs up from Friday where he sat in the trail behind TALENT TO SPARE and chased valiantly to hold on for the silver in a sub 52 mile. With another economical trip, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MYMATEPOG (11), DESPONDENT (2), APHORISM (10), SWAGGIE SHANNON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MYMATEPOG (11) to win
