RACE ONE

Building towards victory after some sectionally strong performances, MIRACLE MOOSE (3) faced a 10m handicap last start from behind the tapes. Pressing forward to sit parked, he was able to produce a starchy performance and still zip home in sub-55. He can get forward again to capitalise.

COLT THIRTY ONE (1) tackled the standing start conditions last start when making an error yet still able to chase and grab the silver when 2m from the winner MIRACLE MOOSE. Buried when chasing LEAP TO FAME two starts back, he has the options here to chase a 45th AP victory.

CLASSIE WASHINGTON (5) faces a steep class differential here as just a Band 5 performer but has been a model of consistency. Placed behind TIMS A TROOPER last start, he can grab a minor here.

DEUS EX (10) returns from a spell after being sent for a break following a last start failure. With a pair of trials to prepare for the return, the latest was sharp and he has podium claims fresh.

SELECTIONS: MIRACLE MOOSE (3), COLT THIRTY ONE (1), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (5), DEUS EX (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MIRACLE MOOSE (3) to win

RACE THREE

In career best form that has seen him land victory at 5 of his past 7, PRESS STATEMENT (1) claimed a new PB at the mile two starts back when firing out from gate 2 and leading throughout, stopped the clock in 1.54.9. A big winner last start at Redcliffe when parked, he finds conditions to capitalise.

CHAMONIX (8) has not been too far from them in recent starts, closing out in nice order behind JAMES CAGNEY at the 2138 last start and chasing when 3m from PRESS STATEMENT two back. Mapping for the soft trip behind the speed, he can be ready to issue a closing challenge.

GOTTA GO MILKING (2) has been racing in nice touch with placings at his past three in succession, the most recent when 7m from SPEAK THE TRUTH. He can settle close enough to chime in.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (9) has the second line options to drop down to the poles here and with the soft trip can take the short cuts in search of a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: PRESS STATEMENT (1), CHAMONIX (8), GOTTA GO MILKING (2), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE FOUR

Placed in four of his past five starts, THE GROGFATHER (3) looks to have found the set up to cash in here. Settled in the trail last start, he was fighting to the line when a head from the subsequent winner BIG SKEWY. 2m from DARK TERROR two runs back, he looks to get his chance in this line up.

BIDE OUR TIME (1) was asked to roll the sleeves and do the heavy lifting outside the leader at the 213 last start. Fading to finish midfield as RIVEERED took them all the way, he struck trouble two runs back over this trip. With the improved gate, he secures his chance to throw down a challenge.

ROCK NIEN (10) is on the back up from Wed night at Redcliffe where a wide gate made his task tough in grabbing 3rd. Runner-up in both starts prior, he will be relying on some tempo here to chime in.

SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (4) is not far off opening his Qld account when the conditions match up. Grabbing the bronze behind JAMES CAGNEY last time out, positioning cheaply will be key.

SELECTIONS: THE GROGFATHER (3), BIDE OUR TIME (1), ROCK NIEN (10), SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THE GROGFATHER (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Bereft of luck here last week on QStars night when tackling an up to 65 event, LAST TIME JOE (4) was forced to retreat after being denied a spot up near the speed. Caught in traffic in the run to the judge and never getting clear, he was game here two back when parked. He gets his chance in this.

NOBLE TRICK (6) started from the second line last start where he settled in the 1x1 trail to grab the bronze behind the flying PRESS STATEMENT. Rattling late here three starts back when 4m behind the dead-heating winners AMAMI and BETTERTHANAROCKET, tempo will be his friend here.

ZOOM PARTY (3) has been super since arriving in Qld and last start was making some nice metres after retreating in the early stages from gate 5. Finding the running line cheaply can see him swoop.

BOSCH (5) made the most of an improved gate here two starts back when taking control and seeing it out from the front in a second division qualifier, Grabbing the bronze last start, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: LAST TIME JOE (4), NOBLE TRICK (6), ZOOM PARTY (3), BOSCH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LAST TIME JOE (4) to win

RACE SIX

Working forward out of the machine from gate 6 here last week, HEAVENLY SIGN (9) was three wide the first 500m before the space opened to drop to the 1x1 trail. Making her move at the 500, she had the closing power to put them away to claim a PB victory. Trailing through early, she can repeat.

SOVIET STUNNER (2) pressed forward from gate 5 last time out in a mare’s qualifier but with no lead was forced to sit parked. Despite the heavy lifting, she was up to the task and was able to graft out the victory. From this alley, she can force the issue and gets her chance to issue the challenge.

GWYNETH P (10) just cannot seem to find optimal conditions, but her effort and sectionals suggest she is not far away. Buried here on Tuesday, if she can get the right tempo, she is a podium hope.

DELTA THREE (1) will take added benefit from her latest appearance where she was third up from a spell. Chasing home behind TALENT TO SPARE from the running line, a pole trip here is a bonus.

SELECTIONS: HEAVENLY SIGN (9), SOVIET STUNNER (2), GWYNETH P (10), DELTA THREE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:  HEAVENLY SIGN (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Another quality 70Final where the tempo off the front line looks to generate plenty of heat. Sharing the spoils in his heat, BETTERTHANAROCKET (9) was attacking the line down the outside in a strong closing half. He can follow through to possie up in a perfect spot and light the afterburners to arrive.

LUKE JOHN (1) should relish the tight gate here after his past four have been from the second line, the latest where he was best of the chasing pack behind the smart winner BIG SKEWY. Grabbing the siler three back behind HOLD ONTO YA BLING, he will be stalking the speed ready to strike.

BIG SKEWY (2) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after successive wins at the mile. Sent forward from gate 7 here last week in the heat to sit parked, he was big in victory. He can rev up and be right in the fight.

ROCK SUPREME (7) faces a stiff ask from the gate, but his form has been super, the latest when collared up the passing lane in a qualifier by JAMES CAGNEY. He can press forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: BETTERTHANAROCKET (9), LUKE JOHN (1), BIG SKEWY (2), ROCK SUPREME (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTERTHANAROCKET (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

Locked away on the fence here last start from inside the second line, DELIGHTFUL LOU (5) was able to grab the bronze as COCORA took them all the way. Beaten by gate 7 two starts back, she can work into a running line position from this gate and looks to get her chance to capitalise.

MISS DAYTONA (3) was forced to sit outside MACARENA MADI and was still grinding it out but could not reel in the deficit as HEAVENLY SIGN arrived. She draws outside last week’s leader again which may see her needing to roll the sleeves to turn the tables.

ALEXIA ROSE (9) started from inside the second line last start and was buried in the run and never found the space to join in. Into the running line here, she can be making a closing raid.

DIDSHEDOIT (1) tackled this grade last week and just had some momentum checked from the trail behind a tiring leader before grabbing the silver. With another luckless Redcliffe run since, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL LOU (5), MISS DAYTONA (3), ALEXIA ROSE (9), DIDSHEDOIT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL LOU (5) to win

RACE NINE

Proving to be a more than capable mare since arriving in Qld, FUNNY FACE (7) has three wins in her past four starts. Settled in the running line over the mobile 2138 last start after easing from gate 7 to secure position, she was strong to the line for a smart win. Just a neck from GUS two starts back, she is well placed from 10m.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (10) found the pocket trail last start from inside the second line under mobile conditions but had to work off the inside and wait for a gap as the leader wilted in front. Losing all his momentum before rallying for the silver, he cannot be underestimated.

INSTANT DELIGHT (2) was sent out as the fav last time midweek where she released for the trail when 7m astern of the winner. Chasing home behind GUS the start prior, she can position up to chime in.

ZEALOUS SPUR (4) was buried away three back against the poles last start from the mobile when finishing just outside the money behind FUNNY FACE. A winner from this mark three back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FUNNY FACE (7), SIR FAHRENHEIT (10), INSTANT DELIGHT (2), ZEALOUS SPUR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FUNNY FACE (7) to win

RACE TEN

Only the front line but there is plenty of quality in this 3YO contest where FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2) will be looking to cash in after missing the Triad when scratched from the heats.  A smart winner from back in the pack last start at the mile, he will be fresh up here and has the gate to take his shot.

THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (1) backs up from Tuesday where she was snagged off the arm from gate 6 and left to come with a closing challenge to be 2m from the winner LAURIE DEE. A smart winner when parked two starts back, she can tuck in for the soft trip and be ready to challenge.

CHEER LEADER (6) settled back in the pack in the Qld Oaks after landing wide on the second line and rattling late was runner-up to TORQUE IN MOTION. Holding on for 3rd behind JEWEL MELODY in the fillies Triad, the gate hurts here.

FREE THINKER (3) made an early move after sliding back early from a wide gate in the Triad Final where he was then angled back to the passing lane when runner-up to FOR REAL LIFE. The small field aids his chances.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2), THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (1), CHEER LEADER (6), FREE THINKER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (2) to win
