RACE ONE

AQUA CRUISER (1) will be burrowing through looking to protect the inside running and if able to hold them wide, his chances of victory will rise. Wide off the track last start from gate 5 over the latter stages when beaten a half-head. He can take this.

TOMMY BLIGH (2) was beaten by a wide second line gate at Marburg last start and the task made even tougher with a slick tempo being set from the front. That ended a seven-run streak of finishing in the money and with the better gate here, can get back to issuing a challenge.

DIDSHEDOIT (8) makes her first appearance in Qld for Colin Godden after a last start fadeout at Echuca. Beaten a pimple two starts back at Bendigo, she is right in the fight.

MAJOR TRALEE (3) may need to work in the early stages and his chances will hinge on limiting the burn. Too keen in front last start, he can be handy enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: AQUA CRUISER (1), TOMMY BLIGH (2), DIDSHEDOIT (8), MAJOR TRALEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA CRUISER (1) to win

RACE THREE

BELLA BRONSKI (3)
will be on the back up from a mare’s qualifier on Saturday night, the same grade she contested the start prior when settled in the 1x1 trail as BETTYS LASS took the prize. With good speed off the arm when let slide, she can look to get forward here and finds a winnable contest.

DOLLARBILL (8) overcame the second line here two starts back when sent forward to do it the tough way and grind out the win. Striking trouble here on Thursday, he can be sent around them early again here to throw down the challenge.

WESTERN ACTION (1) should be able to secure the soft trip in behind the speed and await some gaps to make a closing raid. Descending on them last star to share the victory, he will be probing.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (2) eased from gate 4 last start and from back in the pack was trying to make late metres when midfield behind LOOKAT MEE. Settling closer from this alley can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BRONSKI (3), DOLLARBILL (8), WESTERN ACTION (1), CHANCELESS CENTURY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BRONSKI (3) to win

RACE FOUR

LORD OF MISRULE (2) has faced the starter twice since returning from a spell, the latest a tidy effort when just out of the money behind ROSES ARE SWEET. Eased early from gate 6 when resuming as ELOUISA DALE was too slippery, he has the gate to be handy on a track where he is 1 from 1.

THERESACHANCE (3) darted across from gate 2 here on Thursday to hold the front early before releasing for the trail. That was over the 2040 and had followed an all the way win here two starts back. That win was at the sprint, and he can look for the front again to issue his challenge.

AJAY BREEZY ROSE (4) has placed in all four starts since returning for her Winter campaign, the latest when releasing over the middle trip and holding 2nd. The gate makes it a little tricky this time.

MARETTI (5) has been running some handy races, the latest when making some nice metres in the closing stages to grab the bronze. Look for him chiming in over the closing stages again here.

SELECTIONS: LORD OF MISRULE (2), THERESACHANCE (3), AJAY BREEZY ROSE (4), MARETTI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LORD OF MISRULE (2) to win

RACE FIVE

PURPLE SHADES (8)
eased from gate 4 last start and finding the inside was then probing for runs in the closing stages when grabbing the bronze behind FULLOFIT. Trying to make late metres from this gate two starts back, he finds the right line up to chase a victory.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (2) was trying to make late metres at his last start but could not get warm as BORSELLINO sprinted clear to win over the AP mile. Probably better suited back here on The Triangle, he can settle closer to the action and finds the right conditions to throw it down.

SCHOOBY (3) darted through early before taking the trail last start and held on for the bronze behind FOR NOR RESASON. A winner from gate 6 here three back, he can feature again here/

OUR ULTIMATE RUBY (6) makes her first appearance in Qld and arrives with a last start victory at Young where she was sent forward early to sit parked from the second line. She stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: PURPLE SHADES (8), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (2), SCHOOBY (3), OUR ULTIMATE RUBY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PURPLE SHADES (8) to win

RACE SIX

MISS PAU (8)
started from inside the second line at Marburg last time out and was probing for the gaps when running the winner to a neck margin. Her previous three starts were all from barrier 5 and with the right run here, finds the right set up to chase down her ninth career success.

CIRCLE LINE (9) was beaten by the outside second line at Marburg last start, but was sound to the line in finishing midfield. It will be a tough ask from this gate, but he can be put into the battle if need be and will be grinding it out.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (3) has good hustle out of the machine and might be the one to light the lamps here. Only 2m from the winner CHASING DREAMZ last start, he can feature from the front end.

TORQUE IN CONTROL (7) is in danger of being buried in the run from this gate but is up to grabbing some minor money if the gap can open in time.

SELECTIONS: MISS PAU (8), CIRCLE LINE (9), FORTYFIVE ROCK (3), TORQUE IN CONTROL (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  MISS PAU (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

BEE GEES BEST (2)
was sent forward from gate 5 last time out over the AP mile where he was able to angle in for the trail. Finishing 4m from the winner, it followed a midfield return at Newcastle. From this gate he can dart across and gets his chance to dictate.

HEAVENS BABY (1) stepped up in grade last start and faded out after a cosy trip in behind the speed. That had followed a nice win when working home wider on the track. With the chance for another easy trip behind the speed and forgiving the lasts start fadeout, she can bounce back.

MY SECRET BEACH (8) was luckless last start at Marburg when angled to the inside for some short cuts and hoping for luck that did not arrive. Following through early here can see him feature.

TAPTHEKEG (3) is closing in on three years since he last saluted, but his recent efforts have been enough to suggest he can be grabbing some minor money again here.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BEST (2), HEAVENS BABY (1), MY SECRET BEACH (8), TAPTHEKEG (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BEST (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

THE CROM (3)
started from inside the second line last start and with his lack of speed out of the machine was soon buried in the run. Closing out strongly here two starts back when 6m in arrears of the winner, if he can slide into the running line without getting too far back, he is up to claiming this.

DONT YOUBE NAUGHTY (2) has good early speed and from this alley can chase early supremacy. Banished to the trials last start when fading out in a race where she was outclassed, she will be much better suited here and if able to pinch a panel or three in front, can give some cheek.

ZED EXPRESS (8) was fired off the outside gate at Marburg last start to take control but was a spent force when fading over the latter stages. With a quieter time here, look for him making a play.

MAN OF ACTION (6) moved around them last start from the second line and pushed on to take control and was able to pull clear to claim a 22m margin. Despite the gate, he is right in this too.

SELECTIONS: THE CROM (3), DONT YOUBE NAUGHTY (2), ZED EXPRESS (8), MAN OF ACTION (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE CROM (3) to win

RACE NINE

MELTON MAX GENTLE (6)
is one of three horses in this field that last recorded a victory back in 2021 and the ODM embargo certainly makes it a tougher assignment. But this race is a raffle, with a sticky map and horses out of form. Positioning cheaply and limiting work might be all it takes to capitalise.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9) was asked to sit parked last start after having an early dip for the front but after being repelled, the sleeves were rolled as he tried to grind it out. Buried after retreating from gate 5 here two starts back, if the right trip unveils, he is certainly up to challenging.

MAJOR PAINT (7) will need a few factors in his favour but finds a race here where anything could happen. Grabbing bronze last start at Marburg, he will be probing for openings.

WEDDING NIGHT (4) was just 2m from the winner last start at Marburg when trying to launch a closing raid. Finding the trail here two back, she can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: MELTON MAX GENTLE (6), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9), MAJOR PAINT (1), WEDDING NIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
