RACE ONE

Having just his second career starts last week, STUDLEIGH PUNTER (1) was sent forward early from gate 4 but with no position on offer, was forced to retreat to the rear. Catching the eye with a rattling finish grab the silver, he lands the chance to stalk the speed and strike late.

ITS ONE LIFE (3) was making his race debut when sent forward from wide off the track to sit parked. With the race run at a genuine tempo, he was trying to rally but had to settle for a 13m defeat. Taking benefit from the run, he can press the button early again here to throw down the challenge.

DEEP REGRET (2) faced a second line gate last start and was picking off good metres in the closing stages when holding 3rd behind REASON TO SHINE. He can settle handy enough to grab a cheque.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH PUNTER (1), ITS ONE LIFE (3), DEEP REGRET (2)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH PUNTER (1) to win

RACE THREE

Asked to sit parked and do it the tough way last start, THE REAPER (1) was trying to repel the challengers when holding on for the silver behind NATTY PAGGER. At his best in front, can he burrow through here and hold them out early to cash in?

FENOMENAL (12) was big in victory here last start when sent forward to sit parked and continuing to apply the heat, pressed to the front and then claimed a 5m margin. Runner-up two back when grinding it out from the breeze after starting from 40m, he can throw it down again here.

NOT AS PROMISED (2) tackled a mobile 3YO contest last start when finding the trail and finishing best over the mile. This is a big step up against experienced performers as he chases a minor.

EN MASSE (3) was heavy in the market last start but made a mess of the start and was never a factor thereafter. A winner here two starts back, if she can step cleanly, she will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: THE REAPER (1), FENOMENAL (12), NOT AS PROMISED (2), EN MASSE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Set alight three wide at the 600 last start TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (1) ranged up strongly over the 2138 trip but could not repel the power of HASTY BID who tracked her into the race. Strong to the line behind FIAS CHARM in the triad Consolation the start prior, the mile and opposition looks ideal.

WAT NOW SHANNON (2) was taking his first look here at The Creek last start when fired off the arm from gate 3 to lead and from the front was never headed to claim a narrow victory. A winner from back in the pack at Redcliffe three starts back, the gate aids his challenging chances.

JET FORCE (4) rolled forward early from gate 3 at the 2138 last start before fining the 1x1 trail but could not go on with it over the closing stages. Limiting the early burn will be key to his chances.

TOMMY BLIGH (8) will be snookered away here and need a gap to arrive in time to issue a closing shot. 3rd along the passing lane at Redcliffe last start, he will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (1), WAT NOW SHANNON (2), JET FORCE (4), TOMMY BLIGH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TACTICS ARE ROLLIN (1) to win

RACE FIVE

A hard map to pinpoint here with some early speed and pressure drawn tight. HARRY KANE (6) will not be in that early hustle from this gate, but his last start effort in a strong 70Final when rattling late suggests he is up to this contest. Going better than his numbers suggest, he might just bob up.

ARKIN WICKED (5) was last seen in the Derby Consolation when sent out at huge odds from gate 5 where he retreated to the fence chasing short cuts. A smart winner from the front two starts back in a career PB, if he can lob a spot cheaply, he is up to challenging in this contest.

ARCHILLES (2) tackled a qualifier last start when finding the 1x1 trail from gate 6, finishing at the tail behind CHAMONIX. Off the second line at his previous two starts, the front line is a plus here.

MIGHTY GEORGE (8) has placed at his past three in succession, the latest when chasing from the 1x1 trail to be under 2m from the winner SAN MAREA. With the soft trip, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: HARRY KANE (6), ARKIN WICKED (5), ARCHILLES (2), MIGHTY GEORGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HARRY KANE (6) to win

RACE SIX

Running hot in recent starts, APHORISM (6) has recaptured his form and is staring down a hat-trick of victories here. Asked to grind it out first over last start, he put the squeeze on his opponents in a tough win in slick time. Winning at the middle trip two back, he can claim the threepeat.

DESPONDENT (2) fired out from gate 4 last start before taking the trail and then made the closing raid when a half-head from the winner AUNTY BELLA. Looking to take them all the way two starts back when 6m astern of APHORISM, he can fire the early bullets to challenge again here.

OBI ONE (1) took the trail from this gate last start when grabbing the silver behind APHORISM. Not suited when asked to sit parked two starts back, he can be tucked away here ready to chime in.

GLENLEDI BOY (3) has had two runs back from a spell and settled rearward in both. With the chance to be a little closer to the action this time, he can be hunting a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: APHORISM (6), DESPONDENT (2), OBI ONE (1), GLENLEDI BOY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  APHORISM (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Building towards a victory after some handy performances, LANAI (9) capitalised over the mile here two starts back when sent forward to sit parked and grind out a tough win. Franking that with another starchy victory last start in a career PB, he can chase the threepeat.

DELIGHTFUL LOU (4) was luckless last start in a mare’s qualifier when forced to ease for position and then never seeing open space to make a play. Holding 3rd from the fence line in a similar race two starts back, she can be handy enough here to issue a challenge.

HAPPY GO LINCY (1) was chasing a hat-trick of victories to remain undefeated in Qld when finishing midfield behind LAURIE DEE last start. With all the options from this gate, he will be probing.

LUVBITE (3) is still chasing his first victory here at The Creek, but his effort and consistency has not been lacking. Placed in 7 of his 9 on this deck, LANAI has been his conqueror at his past two.

SELECTIONS: LANAI (9), DELIGHTFUL LOU (4), HAPPY GO LINCY (1), LUVBITE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LANAI (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

Taking good benefit from his first run back from a spell, CAPTAIN NEMO (11) will appreciate the extra trip here where he has good numbers beyond the mile. Making a late raid when resuming to be just a neck from the winner, the tempo should suit his chances to descend on them.

BIG SHADOW (10) backs up from Saturday night where he kept a genuine tempo in front after leading from gate 1 at this same trip. Trying to open them up with a 27.2 3rd panel, he was left vulnerable and could not finish them off, 5m astern of the winner AMAMI. He can throw it down.

ULTIMATE HUGHEY (7) is given no favours from the outside paint, but he should appreciate this line up after tackling a stronger contest last start. With even luck, he can be joining in.

PLAYA BLANCA (4) fired out last start at Redcliffe and from the front was able to take them all the way in smart time. This is stronger, but she can be closed enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (11), BIG SHADOW (10), ULTIMATE HUGHEY (7), PLAYA BLANCA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN NEMO (11) to win

RACE NINE

From the gate and hustling off the arm, ROLLED IN GOLD (2) should be first to the fence and from there the options would open. Too slick of them last start at Redcliffe in taking an 8m margin, she held the bronze behind KALYPSO SAM two starts back at the 2138. This looks within reach.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (9) lost all his momentum last start at the 500 after being positioned three back along the inside. With the leader wilting, he was trying to work into the running line and then copped a check before resetting, but the race was gone by that stage. He will looming large.

FULLOFIT (8) will be needing a slice of luck at some point but comes up with the economical trip form this alley. Buried last start when 5m from SHES IN LINE, she can be searching for the openings.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) will be locked away against the inside from this gate and searching for the gaps to make a late play. Never too far away, he can pinch a podium position.

SELECTIONS: ROLLED IN GOLD (2), IMA BIRUBI BOY (9), FULLOFIT (8), LANCELOT BROMAC (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
