RACE ONE

It will be a big ask to overcome the 30m handicap for this battle, but NOT AS PROMISED (6) has looked impressive with wins in both appearances on this deck since arriving in Qld. Overcoming all aged company last start, he returns to his own age here and stepping cleanly can claim a threepeat.

MISS MEMPHIS (5) has placed at her past two starts, the latest when stepping straight to the front and trying to hold on was only swamped in the closing stages as NATTY PAGGER arrived. Runner-up to DEXTORUS DEXTER in the QBRED Final the start prior, she can throw it down again.

GETOVERROVER (1) is still chasing his first victory and lines up here after grabbing the silver last start when 2m from DEXTROUS DEXTER. If he can get off the mark safely, he can grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: NOT AS PROMISED (6), MISS MEMPHIS (5), GETOVERROVER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NOT AS PROMISED (6) to win

RACE THREE

Resuming from a spell for this contest, COLUMBIAS DEECEE (3) changed stables during the time off and lines up here for Mitchell Dawson. A winner here three starts back when proving too tough for his opposition, he trialled in top order in preparation for the return and can cash in fresh.

THE REAPER (2) was runner-up here last week, finding the pocket trail early and then squeezing off to be 2m from the winner. Beaten a similar margin the week prior behind NATTY PAGGER, he can again be up close to the action ready to issue the challenge.

FENOMENAL (11) was strong to the line here last week from this same handicap, finishing 5m from the winner NOT AS PROMISED. That followed a strong win off 20m, and he can again be right in the fight.

AURORA (1) has beautiful manners off the tapes and can be stepping straight to the front again here. Just fading late last time out, she can hold on for some minor money here.

SELECTIONS: COLUMBIAS DEECEE (3), THE REAPER (2), FENOMENAL (11), AURORA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COLUMBIAS DEECEE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

ROCCO VARIETY (8) will be relying on some factors in his favour, but if they happen to eventuate, he can be ready to capitalise. Trying to make ground at Redcliffe last start after tackling a standing start contest, if he can hit the lane with momentum, he might just be able to pinch this.

HESLUVABLE (7) was a winner from gate 3 here three starts back when sent forward and from the front was never headed. Out of the money in both attempts since, he can look to get forward to find running line position and, in a race, full of chances, look to issue a challenge.

FINANCIALLY STABLE (4) found the 1x1 rail last start and had the closing speed to descend on them to break the maiden tag. With the added confidence and experience, he can chase the repeat.

BEE GEES BEST (1) was snookered three back from this same alley three runs back when midfield behind MAJOR ICON. Down the line in two NSW appearances since, he can look to burrow through.

SELECTIONS: ROCCO VARIETY (8), HESLUVABLE (7), FINANCIALLY STABLE (4), BEE GEES BEST (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

This race looks an open contest and early mapping looks willing. Runner-up last start, IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) found the pocket trail and made the closing dive to be just a neck from the winner ROLLED IN GOLD. Placed in four of his past five starts, he can get handy and make his play.

JET FORCE (2) was exposed in the early stages before securing cover last start and then was strong to the line when just outside the money behind TACTICS ARE ROLLIN. He can camp on the speed here and be ready to issue a closing challenge in a race full of chances.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (6) comes into this after tackling standing start events at her past two starts, the latest when claiming victory in a Show Final. Despite a tricky gate, she has podium claims in this.

ARCHILLES (7) has no favours from the wide gate, but he has been in nice touch of late, the latest when darting up the passing lane to be an eyelash short of victory. He can be closing out late again.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (3), JET FORCE (2), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (6), ARCHILLES (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) to win

RACE SIX

The Chantal Turpin runners look the main players in this battle and with Pete McMullen taking the reins behind THE TAX CULLECTOR (6) there can be some lead taken out of that choice. Big in victory on the engine last start when ripping a 54.4 closing half, he looks back to his best and can cash in.

ALTA MAGACIAN (4) was resuming from a spell two starts back when attacking the line strongly wide off the track to finish 2nd behind FREE THINKER. The tempo was too hot last start and anything back in the pack had zero chance behind THE TAX CULLECTOR. He can be closer here.

SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (3) finished near the rear last start when tackling a qualifier over the 2138 after settling handy to the action. Runner-up to THE GROGFATHER two runs back, he is in the mix.

LUVBITE (10) has been a model of consistency on this deck, placed in eight of his 10 here. Strong to the line here last week when runner-up to HAPPY GO LINCY, he will be attacking late again.

SELECTIONS: THE TAX CULLECTOR (6), ALTA MAGACIAN (4), SIR SONNY MAGUIRE (3), , LUVBITE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  THE TAX CULLECTOR (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

Chasing down a hat-trick of victories last start, LANAI (3) was angled to the inside from a second line gate and then needed a gap that did not open in time. Holding 3rd behind HAPPY GO LINCY, it had followed two gritty victories when parked. He can bounce back from this gate in a strong contest.

MAGICAL MAYA (6) claimed a mare’s event last start when sent forward from gate 7 to take control and from the front was able to fight them off the claim a 4m margin in a career PB. Wide off the track the start prior when strong to the line, the gate stings, but she looks up to the challenge.

O B LEGAL (8) made full use of the gate last start at Redcliffe to find the front and take them all the way. Needing some luck from this alley, he will be probing for a way clear to grab a minor.

MERGE RIGHT (1) has been in consistent form of late, hitting the board at her past five in succession, the latest when runner-up to BIG SHADOW. With all the options form this gate, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: LANAI (3), MAGICAL MAYA (6), O B LEGAL (8), MERGE RIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

OUR MAJOR DAY (10)
started from inside the second line last start and was soon snookered in the run and relying on some luck. Picking off some closing metres when 7m from the winner BETTERTHANAROCKET, he gets back to old-timers’ grade here and can defy the gate to arrive.

BITCOIN (1) has been struggling to secure the marble in recent attempts and been forced to be chasing as a result. At his best when able to dictate, he can burrow through here and look to make full use of the alley to keep them rolling and throw down the challenge.

DESPONDENT (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint but has been runner-up at his past three in succession, the latest from the trail on Saturday night. He can get forward to feature.

KEY LARGO (8) will take some benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a spell. With the map to be tucked in behind the speed, he can look for a gap to grab a minor.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (10), BITCOIN (1), DESPONDENT (7), KEY LARGO (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (10) to win

RACE NINE

A winner at two of her four career starts to date, SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (9) lines up here fresh from her last start victory on Aug 1. Working hard to get into the battle from this gate at this trip, she was too classy for her opposition. This is the next step up, yet she looks a progressive filly.

ROLLED IN GOLD (1) is chasing a hat-trick after wins at the Redcliffe 2040 and then here at the 1660. Burrowing through to hold top and take them all the way at the mile here last week, she lands the options here and gets her chance to issue a challenge.

TURBO TOMMY (10) was locked away behind the speed at Marburg at huis first Qld appearance when chasing home behind COPY WRITER. With the right cart home, he can feature.

SISTA BLISS (6) will take some further benefit from her latest start when third up from a spell. Making some late metres after retreating from gate 7 at the mile, she can handle the middle trip.

SELECTIONS: SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (9), ROLLED IN GOLD (1), TURBO TOMMY (10), SISTA BLISS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (9) to win
