RACE ONE

This race could generate plenty of heat where if BETTING ORIGIN (2) can repeat his last start victory, he can be a major player. Pressing to the front, he was allowed to roll on the engine to claim a 1.53.1 PB. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, there is a slippery beginner to his inside, but he can capitalise.

LUKE JOHN (5) started form inside the second line last start and with the field strung out was positioned four back as FRANKIE FEROCIOUS sizzled in front. Runner-up the start prior when strong to the line behind ELOUISA DALE, limiting the burn can see him throw down the challenge.

TASHS SPARTAN (8) will be sweating on hitting the passing lane with momentum at his first Qld appearance for Shawn Grimsey. Runner-up to the talented SCHOOL CAPTAIN last start, he will be probing.

DANIEL BOOM (3) tackled an up to 90 event last start and from the trail went within a head of the winner YEP GOT CHOOKS. Buried in the run the start prior, he can be close enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: BETTING ORIGIN (2), LUKE JOHN (5), TASHS SPARTAN (8), DANIEL BOOM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (2) to win

RACE THREE

The last start effort of SO AM I (5) was an improved performance in a season where he has struggled to display his best. Eased from gate 5 to settle back in the pack, he was strong to the line in the closing stages for 2nd behind the handy 3YO HASTY BID. Building off that, he can make a play here.

ODINS BLACK CROWS (2) was big in victory here last start when sent forward from the second line and forcing his way to the front was too strong for them in claiming an 11m victory. Game in defeat the start prior when beaten an eyelash after sitting parked, he will throw it down from this gate.

SHES IN LINE (8) was locked away against the poles last start and hit the lines strongly in the closing stages when runner-up to BORSELLINO. A passing lane winner the start prior, she will be probing.

MISTER DIAMOND (3) sat in the 1x1 trail last start after being sent out as fav and saved for one run, powered over the top to score. Settling close to the action can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: SO AM I (5), ODINS BLACK CROWS (2), SHES IN LINE (8), MISTER DIAMOND (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

A winner from the pocket trail here two starts back, ART ON FIRE (1) had the closing speed when finding the space to claim a 2m margin. Eased from gate 5 and settled rearward last start, he attacked the line in some slick closing splits. He can stalk the speed and strike in the stretch.

WINDY HILL WALLY (8) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to make a late raid when 2m from the winner BETTOR ROMANCE. Rattling late for the bronze here three starts back, he will be securing an economical trip here and just needs a gap while has momentum to challenge.

MORESCO (3) has a good record at the middle trip and likes to do it her won way out in front. Setting a slick tempo last time out at the mile, she can light the lamps here and be gripping on.

KEAYANG MARVEN (7) has been tackling stronger opposition than what he faces here and although his numbers are far from inspiring, sectionally he has been good. He can chime in against this line up.

SELECTIONS: ART ON FIRE (1), WINDY HILL WALLY (8), MORESCO (3), KEAYANG MARVEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ART ON FIRE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

In nice touch since arriving in Qld, SHEZA CRACKER (10) will go in search of a hat-trick of victories. Holding the trail from inside the second line last start, when angled into space, she sprinted sharply to pull clear to a 6m margin. With the right trail, she can chase the threepeat.

JAKKI MUN (4) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and when asked to chase, set out after the in-form KHULAN KID to hold on for 2nd.  Making some late metres two starts back from deep field after retreating, he finds the right conditions here to throw down a challenge.

GOTTA GO TORQUE (1) eased from gate 5 last start and made an error that saw him angle back to the inside to look for short cuts when well held behind ODINS BLACK CROWS. The gate helps here.

DONNY JONES (6) showed some early hustle off the arm at the 2138 last start and was then searching for gaps when 2m from the winner VERMONT. The gate stings, but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (10), JAKKI MUN (4), GOTTA GO TORQUE (1), DONNY JONES (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (10) to win

RACE SIX

A tricky contest to dissect as some of these up to NR40 events can be. By virtue of the gate advantage, TELL ME THIS (1) can look to capitalise first up for the new stable. Locked away three back from this same gate last start, if he can burrow through early, he can look to cash in.

BLACKJACK BETH (10) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 3 and loomed up over the closing stages before being grabbed by a swooping MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO. Chasing home behind SHEZA CRACKER the start prior, the gate makes it a tough ask, but she can still issue a challenge.

OFFICE BAD BOY (8) will need some factors in his favour from this alley but if he can slice through a gap with some momentum, he looms as a podium hope.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (9) looked to have found her race here last week and sent to the post as the fav from gate 2 had to settle for a 3m deficit. The second line makes it tougher, but she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TELL ME THIS (1), BLACKJACK BETH (10), OFFICE BAD BOY (8), HEAVENLY WISDOM (9)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-8-9-10

RACE SEVEN

A race where the main players are all 3YO’s and are drawn wide and off the second line. In hot form since returning from a spell, KHULAN KID (7) made it a hat-trick of victories last start when overcoming the outside second line, descending on them and pulling clear to a big win. Controlling it from the front in his previous two, he can go again.

MAJOR ICON (12) struck trouble before the start last time out which ended his chances before they even started. Chasing a hat-trick of wins after successive wins in his only two Qld appearances, his win two back was a smart effort from gate 7. Stepping up to the 2138, he can issue a challenge.

JESEEKA (11) placed in two of her first three starts, showing plenty of promise. Cashing in last start to open her account with an effortless victory, this will be a tougher ask, but she can join in late.

BALBOA SHANNON (10) was sent to sit parked last start from gate 4 and with a genuine tempo from the front, fought hard for the bronze behind HASTY BID. He can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: KHULAN KID (7), MAJOR ICON (12), JESEEKA (11), BALBOA SHANNON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: KHULAN KID (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

CONFUSE ME (4)
was second up in Qld last start when taking control early and trying to take them all the way. Unable to finish them off when fading over the latter stages, he has returned to the trials where he produced a much sharper effort. He finds the conditions for a turnaround.

HOIHO (7) has been racing consistently since arriving in Qld, the latest performance a smart close out when 1m from the winner BRAEVIEW FELLA. Placed in both previous attempts, he can defy the gate to issue a challenge.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (9) found her race last start on the grass at Kilcoy, making a strong move three wide to work to the front and pull clear to victory. Following through early, she is in the mix.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1) found the poles from gate 5 last start and settled three back was trying to make some late metres behind the winner ROLLED IN GOLD. With his best gate in some time, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: CONFUSE ME (4), HOIHO (7), GETALOADATHISGIRL (9), CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CONFUSE ME (4) to win
