KALYPSO SAM (8) maps for the ideal trip in behind the speed and with the soft trip can look to issue some form of challenge. Taking them all the way on the Kilcoy kikuyu last time out, he was buried away from this same gate two runs back and just missed the money. He will be probing.

MACARENA MADI (4) eased from gate 6 last start and was keen in the run when forced to settle deep field on the markers. Fired out to take them all the way here two starts back and see it out with a PB victory, she can throw some heat early here to issue a challenge.

CAPTAINS PICK (2) has good early hustle and from this gate can look to dart across and set the speed. Midfield from a second line gate last start, he was making good closing metres behind DARK TERROR. Just 5m away when 3rd in a similar contest four runs back, he will throw it down.

LAST TIME JOE (7) was content to take the trail last week when tucked in behind the leader and when angled to the passing lane, darted through to score. The carpark draw makes it a tough ask.

Another open mare’s qualifier here where OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT (3) can take the next step up after claiming a second division of this grade here last week. Collared in the last strides by subsequent winner OOGA CHAKA three runs back, she has won both since and can chase the threepeat.

SEA LOVER (5) was wide in the early stages before forcing the issue and taking control here last week. In for the fight once in front, she was trying hard but just failed to see it out. Moving in two positions on the front line helps, but limiting the early burn will also be key.

ARCO (10) has laced at her past two starts, the latest when put into the contest in the early stages last week and dug in for the fight when beaten a half-neck. Runner-up two back, she has claims.

ZEALOUS SPUR (6) found the pocket trail here last week from the mobile and was the best of the chasing pack behind the sharp winner MAJESTIC LAVROS. Making an error from the tapes two starts back, a safe getaway under these conditions and set up can see him issue a challenge.

FUNNY FACE (7) did plenty of work here last week and lost no admirers when holding on for the bronze behind MAJESTIC LAVROS. In the money at her past seven in succession, she is right in the fight once again.
