RACE ONE

The clear class runner has come up with a very tricky barrier for his first run back from a spell. TURN IT UP (8) was last seen in the Blacks A Fake when finding the front early before handing over. Finishing midfield, it followed a 5m margin behind LEAP TO FAME in the Sunshine Sprint. Only needs the sniff of a gap to pounce fresh.

DEUS EX (3) was second up from a spell here two runs back at this trip when powered up early from gate 7 to find the front. Unable to see it out, he was collared by HY VOLTAGE before bouncing back last week at the mile when taking them all the way. He has the gate to throw it down in this.

APHORISM (6) was large in victory last time after working around form the second line to sit parked and grind out a big mile. Despite the wide gate, he is in the zone with wins in 5 of his past 7 starts.

ROCK BOTTOM (1) will be burrowing through from this gate trying to hold a spot close to the action. Not much went his way from behind the tapes last start but he can chase a podium return here.

SELECTIONS: TURN IT UP (8), DEUS EX (3), APHORISM (6), ROCK BOTTOM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (8) to win

RACE THREE

Buried in the run at his first Qld appearance two starts back, TASHS SPARTAN (2) accelerated stylishly when finding space to claim victory in smart time. Sent to sit parked from gate 6 here last start, the run was full of merit behind THE BEAUDEN BLUES. He gets his chance from this alley.

HASTY BID (8) landed this same alley when contesting a heat of this series and was shuffled to three back as THE BEAUDEN BLUES stepped it out in front. Putting together three on end prior to that run, he will be probing here and if the gaps can arrive, he can give some cheek.

MIDNIGHT CALM (9) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when sent forward and after plenty of early work was collared in the closing strides. With the right trail early, he can feature.

LUXURY LAD (1) backs up from Wednesday night where he grabbed 3rd and should enjoy the fence benefits of the gate here.

SELECTIONS: TASHS SPARTAN (2), HASTY BID (8), MIDNIGHT CALM (9), LUXURY LAD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TASHS SPARTAN (2) to win

RACE FOUR

After a string of second line gates, the right marble has finally fallen in the favour of BEACH VILLA (4) to get forward off the gate and do what he does best. Forced to chase or work around them in his past five which have all been from the second line, he can press the button to dictate to them here.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (6) is afforded no favours from the wide gate but if he can land a position cheaply, he has the closing power. Out and chasing to grab the bronze behind BIG SKEWY last start, he was a smart winner here three back. Look for him launching late to throw it down.

TENNYSON BROMAC (3) has been producing some sectionally strong performances of late and should appreciate a drop in grade after a starchy performance last start when 5m from HOT AND TREACHEROUS.

DESPONDENT (5) was a midweek winner here two starts back when finding the front from gate 4, taking a sit and then darting up the passing lane. Runner-up last start, he is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: BEACH VILLA (4), BETTERTHANAROCKET (6), TENNYSON BROMAC (3), DESPONDENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH VILLA (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Despite the tough gate, the recent performances of AUNTY BELLA (10) have been strong, including a last start PB over the mile when stepping it out in 1.51.8 from the front. A strong winner at the middle trip to score four back, a return to mare’s only company is a huge boost for her hopes.

ELOUISA DALE (4) was a big winner midweek here three starts back when sent around then early from the second line and keeping the power on was able to see it out. Striking trouble early and banished to the ODM, she was always chasing last start. Back in the draw, she can throw it down.

SHEZ NOTORIUS (8) will be requiring a slice of luck from this gate as she looks in danger of being shuffled back. However, her form is super and last start week darted up the passing lane. Just needs a sniff to land in the money.

MISS MUCHO (9) had a perfect trip last start in behind the speed and was able to grab the bronze behind the flying APHORISM. Not far away the start prior, she can follow through and chime in here.

SELECTIONS: AUNTY BELLA (10), ELOUISA DALE (4), SHEZ NOTORIUS (8), MISS MUCHO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AUNTY BELLA (10) to win

RACE SIX

Fresh up since a last start 5th, CLASSIE WASHINGTON (5) was asked to grind it out first over last start as FUTURE ASSURED ran a sizzling sub 1.51 mile from the front. Placed in all four runs prior to that effort and all in strong company, he can land forward to stake his claim.

NOBLE TRICK (1) was a winner here two starts back after finding the front and then releasing for the trail. Darting up the passing lane to claim the prize, he was never in the mix from a second line gate at the middle trip last start. Tucked in behind the speed, he can be ready to strike.

YEP GOT CHOOKS (4) charged across from this same gate last start to take control and from the front took them all the way to see it out with a slick sub 55 last half. He can chime in again.

SHADOW MINISTER (6) lands an awkward gate but if he can position cheaply, there looks to be plenty of speed drawn in tight here to set up the tempo. Chasing a hat-trick of wins, he can descend.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (5), NOBLE TRICK (1), YEP GOT CHOOKS (4), SHADOW MINISTER (6)
SUGGESTED BET:  CLASSIE WASHINGTON (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Another 70Final which have proven to be great contests, and this looks no different. THE BEAUDEN BLUES (1) was first up from a spell in his heat when sent to the front and from there was never in danger. That was his first appearance since the Qld Derby and from the gate, Leader Peter can do hid thing.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (8) will be camped in behind, stalking the speed and looms as a big danger in the stretch. Taking them all the way in his heat victory in a sizzling mile to set a new 3YO class record, he has the zip and if momentum is in his favour, the snipers shot can hit the target.

BIG SKEWY (2) was chasing a hat-trick of wins here three runs back when buried in the run from gate 1 and never finding space. A winner of both runs since, he can press forward to apply some heat.

SO SIRIUS (3) was having his first Qld appearance when exposed early before cover arrived and then grabbing 2nd behind THE BEAUDEN BLUES. Settling handy, he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THE BEAUDEN BLUES (1), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (8), BIG SKEWY (2), SO SIRIUS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-8 / 1-8 / 2-3-9

RACE EIGHT

On the back up from Tuesday where she was taken back from gate 6, WILD IMAGINATION (2) can look to press the button early here to utilise her early speed. Sent forward from gate 7 and trying to last the trip three back, she was only grabbed in the last strides. She looks to get her chance.

MISS DAYTONA (1) has had plenty of attempts at cracking it for a win in these mare’s qualifiers but keeps finding a way to miss out. The second line hurt last week as HOLI STARZZZ stepped it out in front and the start prior she was asked to park out. From the gate, she can issue a challenge.

ARCO (10) has been a consistent performer, placed at her past three in succession, the latest when sent out in red figures. Sent around them to do it the tough way, she fought hard to hold the bronze and can make her presence felt again here.

MERRY DANCER (9) has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when circling them early from the second line to take control but unable to finish them off. The gate makes it an ask.

SELECTIONS: WILD IMAGINATION (2), MISS DAYTONA (1), ARCO (10), MERRY DANCER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: WILD IMAGINATION (2) to win

RACE NINE

Resuming from a spell off the back of a pair of trials, GUS (7) is chasing a hat-trick of victories to build on his smart Qld record which shows four wins in six appearances. Pressing to the front and then seeing it out with a neck to spare over FUNNY FACE last start, he can take another step through the ranks.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (10) was out of the pack and the best of the chasers behind ADELLE last start to grab the silver. Asked to do it tough here three runs back when parked and issuing the closing challenge when a neck from the winner, he looms large in this line up and can throw it down.

ZEALOUS SPUR (4) dropped down for a three-peg trip last start and then lost all momentum when ADELLE ripped clear and left them chasing. He can get close enough early to feature in this.

FENOMENAL (1) steps up in grade to Saturday night company but his efforts in the midweeks off big handicaps have been strong. Forced to work home wide out last start, a cheaper trip is a plus.

SELECTIONS: GUS (7), SIR FAHRENHEIT (10), ZEALOUS SPUR (4), FENOMENAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GUS (7) to win

RACE TEN

Resuming from a spell last start when taken to Newcastle for a NSW Breeders Challenge heat, IRON CLAD (4) qualified for the next round of that series when beaten a head. The winner of one career race when scoring in the feature APG Final back in April, he looks a smart customer.

FIREBOLT (1) was an eye catcher on debut when working around the field from the second line and then finishing 2m from the winner. Backing up from Tuesday where she made full use of the inside gate to claim an all the way victory, she lands all the options in this line up to issue the challenge.

SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (6) is staring down a hat-trick of victories after a pair of smart wins in good time at her past two attempts. Taking them all the way in both victories, early tactics from the wide gate make the threepeat a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: IRON CLAD (4), FIREBOLT (1), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IRON CLAD (4) to win
