A return to racing at the Bundaberg greyhound track has been rescheduled to Monday, October 23 following a Racing Queensland (RQ) progress inspection of remedial works to the racing surface, earlier this week.

Bundaberg was initially scheduled to return to racing on October 16 but racing on this date will now be transferred to Rockhampton.

The RQ track inspection reinforced that remedial work to small sections of the Bundaberg surface on the turns was progressing well.

These sections have been turf plugged to a depth of 100mm and are taking nicely but will obviously benefit form a little more time.

Another progress inspection of the track will be undertaken next week and a further update will be provided to participants at that point.

Nominations for Rockhampton Monday, October 16 will close on Thursday, October 12 at 9am.

The program for the meeting can be found on the RQ website.

Bundaberg based trainers (post codes 4570 to 4673) racing at the Rockhampton October 16 will be eligible for a $100 travel rebate.
