RACE ONE

This is a strong B5 contest, and you could come up with multiple different winner’s dependent on the map and tempo. If BEACH VILLA (5) can show his usual hustle and find the front, like he did last time to control the speed and dictate, he will be hard to stop. So many factors at play in this one.

POCKET THE CASH (2) started from the second line over the middle trip last start and was running up behind them in the stretch and still grabbed the bronze without seeing open road. Despite being vastly experienced, he has limited exposure at the sprint trip, but can put that aside to challenge.

MELTON BEACH (3) has returned from a spell in fine order and after finishing as the runner-up when resuming has since claimed successive victories. He is right in the fight from this alley.

CLASSIE WASHINGTON (4) has big mapping concerns as to where he will settle. Forced to do the heavy lifting last start when 3rd, he is a consistent placegetter, but can he finally convert one/

SELECTIONS: BEACH VILLA (5), POCKET THE CASH (2), MELTON BEACH (3), CLASSIE WASHINGTON (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

After a last start Redcliffe victory in 70Heat, STORMTIDE (2) heads back to town and comes up with the right gate to use his early power. Finishing hard in the latter stages from a second line gate to score in his last start victory, he can get forward and make the most of the improved gate.

DESPONDENT (1) tackled the standing start event last time where he danced off the tapes before settling in the trail. Finishing 6m astern of the winner, he was beaten by a wide gate in a small field two starts back. With the options on offer from this gate, he lands his chance to throw it down.

O B LEGAL (5) faces a potentially awkward gate, yet he has been in nice touch in recent outings, claiming three wins in his past five starts. Claiming a qualifying win last start, he is in the mix.

AMAMI (3) started from inside the second line last time out and was locked away and needing a gap that did not arrive when out of the money behind LUVBITE. Back to the front helps his chances.

SELECTIONS: STORMTIDE (2), DESPONDENT (1), O B LEGAL (5), AMAMI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: STORMTIDE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

Throwing her chances away here last week when getting the start all wrong, ADELLE (12) was never in the picture. Sent to the front from the second line over the mobile 2138 two starts back and pulling clear to a dominant victory, a safe start can see her defy the 30m back mark.

GUS (10) started in red figures last start when returning from a freshen but his chances expired when making an error. Chasing a hat-trick of victories in that outing, he was too classy over this trip two starts back when sent to the front and able to hold off FUNNY FACE. Manners will be key.

INDEFENSIBLE (1) should appreciate the front tape after facing a mark in recent starts. Chasing in the closing stages when 3rd to ALADDIN SANE last start, the 13 furlongs is a question he will need to answer.

CALL ME TROUBLE (11) tackled the mobile mile last time out and was strong to the line after settling rearward, grabbing the silver and running the winner SUGARINSPICE to a 5m margin.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (12), GUS (10), INDEFENSIBLE (1), CALL ME TROUBLE (11)
SUGGESTED BET: ADELLE (12) to win

RACE FIVE

An intriguing FFA battle where the up and comer FUTURE ASSURED (4) is staring down a hat-trick of victories here after winning in open company at his past two.  Taking control and ripping up a 26.2 closing panel at the end of the middle trip last start, he has the gate advantage over the two big guns and despite being fresh up, mapping favours might just be enough.

TURN IT UP (10) will take good benefit from his latest offering where he was able to grab the bronze behind DEUS EX. Buried in the run from the inside second line gate, he never spotted the gaps until the race was gone. Midfield in the Grand Circuit event two starts back, he can look to accelerate late.

BLACKSADANCE (9) will be first up here since the Blacks A Fake where he was buried in the run from inside the second line, finishing just behind the money. A passing lane winner at the mile three back, he has tuned up for the return with a pair of electric trials and will throw it down fresh.

BETTERTHANAROCKET (1) sat rearward last start from a second line gate and when launched, the afterburners fired up and he charged down the stretch to score. A soft trip in harder grade here helps.

SELECTIONS: FUTURE ASSURED (4), TURN IT UP (10), BLACKSADANCE (9), BETTERTHANAROCKET (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FUTURE ASSURED (4) to win

RACE SIX

The gate was the undoing of FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7) last start when he was buried in the run from inside the second line and never saw the space when it was needed, finishing with the bronze behind BIG SKEWY. Sizzling in front the start prior, he can overcome the outside paint to cash in.

BARTELLO (8) returns to the main draw after facing an ODM embargo at his past two starts, the latest when drawn 12 over the middle trip. Making a strong move 700 from home and sticking on gamely in that contest, he will be tucked away here and ready to challenge if the gap arrives in time.

BACK TO BETOOTA (9) was heavily supported last start to run in red figures in a 70Heat but had to settle for the silver behind WHATA ROLLER. Luckless the start prior behind BIG SKEWY, he is in the mix.

CAPTAINS PICK (10) settled in the running line last start and was strong to the line to finish 5m astern of the winner BETTERTHANAROCKET. Just 3m away the start prior, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7), BARTELLO (8), BACK TO BETOOTA (9), CAPTAINS PICK (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

SII SEMPRE TILLY (1)
found the 1x1 trail last start and battled to a midfield finish as IM BOO carved out a monster mile. Still running a slick mile herself against the clock, it followed a 3rd from three back the poles. Back against her own sex with the gun alley, she will be burrowing through in the early stages to try to hold position.

SHEREACTS (3) struck trouble last start which ended her chances and saw her chasing. Buried from inside the second line the start prior, three runs back she released the speed after finding the front and was under 3m from the winner OUR FIRE AND DELIGHT. The map looks messy early, and she can fire some bullets here to stake her claim.

SHADYS CULLECT (8) started fav last time out at Redcliffe from the ace but was crossed early and then had her chances go up in smoke when the leader hoisted the white flag. Likely buried away here, she will be probing.

MUSIC MOTH (4) was luckless last start at Redcliffe when searching for a run that never opened after being locked away on the poles. Still honing her craft, she can chase some minor money.

SELECTIONS: SHADYS CULLECT (8), SII SEMPRE TILLY (1), MUSIC MOTH (4), SHEREACTS (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

Knocking on the door, will this be the night for MERRY DANCER (6) to claim a breakthrough in this grade after finishing as the runner-up at her past four in succession. Sent to the front from this gate last week, she was nabbed up the passing lane near the wire. The tempo looks solid enough for her to descend.

CAPTAIN OF SPEED (3) eased from gate 4 last start to secure position and was soon back in the pack when trying to make ground over the closing stages in a midfield finish. Taking them all the way two starts back in a career PB, she can look to get the early advantage to throw down the challenge.

ARCO (4) has been super consistent but draws have been working against her, faced with gate 7 and the second line at her past four in succession. Strong to the line last start, she cannot be ignored.

GOLDIES A DELIGHT (1) was midfield last start after being buried from the inside second line gate and trying to make closing metres behind JUSTROLLINGAROUND. The improved gate is a huge plus.

SELECTIONS: MERRY DANCER (6), CAPTAIN OF SPEED (3), ARCO (4), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MERRY DANCER (6) to win

ACE NINE

Lacking the early speed to get across here last week, MIGHT AS WELL (1) settled in the 1x1 trail and had to settle for the bronze as her stablemate MISS MUCHO launched up the passing lane to score. Runner-up two starts back behind BEACH VILLA, she finally snares the alley to claim a breakthrough.

WILD IMAGINATION (5) was asked to sit parked here last week and despite the tough trip was still giving to the wire, ultimately finishing just out of the money. Too tough for them with a first over victory here two starts back, she can press forward to throw down the challenge.

DELTA THREE (8) lands the second line options as the only runner out the back and was hitting the line in nice style last start when 5m from the winner KEAYANG MARVEN at Redcliffe. She can chime in.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (4) stuck to the inside last start and kept picking them off to grab the silver behind MISS MUCHO. A passing lane winner here four runs back, she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MIGHT AS WELL (1), WILD IMAGINATION (5), DELTA THREE (8), MADAMOISELLE JUJON (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MIGHT AS WELL (1) to win

RACE TEN

A sound effort last week when just behind the money in the FFA, L L COOL J (9) was still sectionally strong behind LEAP TO FAME. Making a rare error from the tapes two starts back, he gets back to areas where he has been super in the past, the long trip from behind the tapes and he can look to cash in again.

TIZ A SIZZLER (8) looked like his chances were cooked last week after skipping off the mark and settling at the rear. Yet he was able to chase and chase hard, reeling them in up the stretch and claiming a stylish victory. He moves back another 10m here and steps up to 13 furlongs for the first time.

BOMBADIER JUJON (4) was chasing from the running line here last week when grabbing the bronze behind TIZ A SIZZLER. That was his first run back from a spell and without a public trial, should take plenty of benefit from the outing to feature in this.

SEND IT (6) makes his debut form behind the tapes which always throws up some queries. If he can step and then bring the type of effort he displayed in victory last week, he will be right in the thick of it here.

SELECTIONS: L L COOL J (9), TIZ A SIZZLER (8), BOMBADIER JUJON (4), SEND IT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: L L COOL J (9) to win
