RACE ONE

Showing bombproof manners at each of her five career starts, GAIT WITH GRACE (4) has been clinical in claiming four wins in her first season. Taking them all the way in the Springboard last start over this trip when fresh up from the QBRED Final, she has the consistency to add another win.

JUSTABITLIKESULLY (5) was fizzed up before the start last time out but when the tape flew, he was safely and swiftly away to pounce on the lead. Repelling an early challenge, he was able to trot cleanly and take them all the way. With added experience and winning confidence, he can challenge.

SUBTLE KIMBA (3) was second up when finding the spot in behind the leader and winner JUSTABITLIKESULLY, trying to stick to his back, holding on for the silver. He can grab another minor.

SELECTIONS: GAIT WITH GRACE (4), JUSTABITLIKESULLY (5), SUBTLE KIMBA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GAIT WITH GRACE (4) to win

RACE THREE

Winless in over 18 months and just three placings in 26 appearances this season, AURORA (1) might just have found the right set up to pinch one. A mistake on release last start ended her chances, as it did the start prior. 6m away trying to dictate three runs back, a safe start can see her give cheek.

NATTY PAGGER (4) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when looking for a cheap trip on the poles from the 30m tape. Making a closing raid, he was best of the chasing pack behind the big winner ANDOVERLOV. Strong to the line two starts back, from 10m he can issue a challenge.

THE REAPER (5) was chasing from deep field last start at Redcliffe and grabbed the bronze, some 16m from the winner. Taking them all the way three runs back, he has been in consistent touch.

IGNITE (9) faces a task from the 30m tape to get into the battle. Just out of the money last start at Redcliffe from 50m, he made an error two back which proved costly. Trotting cleanly is a must.

SELECTIONS: AURORA (1), NATTY PAGGER (4), THE REAPER (5), IGNITE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: AURORA (1) win/place

RACE FOUR

Placed in four of his seven career starts, CALL TO ORDER (9) will be fresh up from the QBRED Consolation back in August where he was darting up the passing lane to get within a head of the winner GLENEAGLE VEE CEE. A half-head away two starts back, he can stake a claim to this.

ZENA RHAYNE BOW (1) is a nicely bred filly by Sweet Lou on debut for Chantal Turpin. Sitting in the trail before easing to the outside and finishing off nicely up the stretch to claim her qualifying trial, she lands the gate to feature first up.

SHACKOUTTHEBACK (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to reel in the leader when missing the money behind ITS ONE LIFE. She has the gate to be thereabouts.

HELL OF A HAND (3) has been runner-up in both runs since resuming from a spell, the latest from the second line at Redcliffe. This is a tougher ask, but she can settle handy enough to feature.

SELECTIONS: CALL TO ORDER (9), ZENA RHAYNE BOW (1), SHACKOUTTHEBACK (2), HELL OF A HAND (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL TO ORDER (9) to win

RACE FIVE

With time to burrow through from the second line owing to his lack of early pace, CRIME TIME (8) is probably better suited from this gate. A Marburg winner two starts back from the trail, if he can hold the back of the likely leader which starts in front of him, he can stalk the speed to take his shot.

TOUCH OF TERROR (1) was sent to the front over the 2138 last start and fired up in front, unfurled the white flag at the 600. Running it up the pole at the 400 when fading to last, he should be better suited here at the mile. With four unsuitable draws prior to the last start, he can chase redemption.

SHESA POCKETROCKET (10) was building towards victory after three successive placings and found ideal conditions last start at Redcliffe to defy gate 6 and claim victory. She can be chiming in again.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (4) held the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and was chasing in finishing midfield on The Triangle. He can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: CRIME TIME (8), TOUCH OF TERROR (1), SHESA POCKETROCKET (10), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CRIME TIME (8) to win

RACE SIX

This looks an open contest with a lack of winning form evident for most of the contestants. IMA BIRUBI BOY (5) was rifled off the arm last start at Redcliffe for an easy lead. Under pressure off the back, he couldn’t finish them off. Back to the big deck, he finds the race to look to dictate.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) sat in the 1x1 at Redcliffe last start and after the ideal trip loomed in the stretch and looked set to chalk up another victory, only to be collared on the wire. Closing out soundly over the 2138 here two back, he will be burrowing through and trying to challenge.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (6) started from inside the second line at Redcliffe last start and was buried in the run after being put out of play before the light was even on. Game in defeat two back, he has claims.

HEAVENLY WISDOM (2) eased from gate 4 last time out on The Triangle and from the rear then launched a strong closing raid to arrive in time. She has the gate to fire some early bullets.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (5), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), BRAEVIEW FELLA (6), HEAVENLY WISDOM (2)
SUGGESTED BET:  IMA BIRUBI BOY (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Luckless from inside the second line when making her first appearance in Qld, ILLAVABUBBLES (6) was making some nice metres in the closing stages to be 4m astern after being sent out in red figures. Bouncing back with an effortless all the way effort from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start, she can overcome the wide gate here.

APHRODITE (9) was first up in Qld when settled in the running line she was able to grab the bronze behind SWEET GEORGIA BROWN. Overcoming the outside second line over 2138 at her second outing, she took them all the way last start in smart time at the mile. She can chase the threepeat.

GLOVER (7) was first up in Qld without the benefit of a public trial when faced with the outside front line at Redcliffe. Strong in the closing stages for 3rd, he has another wide gate to negotiate.

ARCHILLES (3) has been a model of consistency in recent weeks and has been runner-up to APHRODITE at his past two starts. Taking the trail and finishing 1m away last start. He has claims.

SELECTIONS: ILLAVABUBBLES (6), APHRODITE (9), GLOVER (7), ARCHILLES (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLAVABUBBLES (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Progressing to gain a start in the Qld Derby during the Carnival, THE BEAUDEN BLUES (2) was sent for a spell after fading over the latter stages. Resuming with a clinical victory in a 70Heat when dictating, he released from gate 1 in the final when finishing 2nd, 2m from the winner. He should see this out.

HARRY KANE (1) maps for the perfect trip in behind the speed and will be awaiting the gaps looking to strike. Sent out in red figures from inside the second line last start, he was shuffled to three back when getting a late split to grab 2nd behind MISTER FONZI. He will be probing to challenge.

OBI ONE (8) should be snookered away on the poles here which will the ideal place to be in a race that looks set to be controlled from the front. Strong over the latter stages last start, he will be probing.

LUVBITE (3) is on the back up from Saturday night which had followed a missed placing when trying to lead throughout as a short price elect. Super consistent, the map does not look favourable.

SELECTIONS: THE BEAUDEN BLUES (2), HARRY KANE (1), OBI ONE (8), LUVBITE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-3-8

RACE NINE

He is given no favours from the outside paint, but it might just be the race where ITS MR CLOONEY (7) can light the fuse early and look to cash in on his early speed. Runner-up to TIZ A SIZZLER last start from the tapes, he had to tackle FFA ranks two back. At career start 100, he can cash in.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) faced a second line gate at Redcliffe last start and was trying to make a late play wide off the track when finishing under 2m from the winner OUR MAJOR DAY. Midfield here two starts back, he can press forward from this alley to issue a challenge.

GLENLEDI BOY (2) worked forward before taking cover last start and then grabbed the silver behind TAIRLAW TOLL. At his best with a pole trip, he can look to dart across early here to boost his claims.

BACK IN TWENTY (10) was sent to the front from gate 3 last time out over the Redcliffe sprint trip and trying to fight them off was worried out of it. He will be chasing here to make a play.

SELECTIONS: ITS MR CLOONEY (7), COMMODORE JUJON (4), GLENLEDI BOY (2), BACK IN TWENTY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ITS MR CLOONEY (7) to win
