RACE ONE

Sent out as the fav here last week from this same gate at the mile, ALTA REVELRY (9) was winding up in the latter stages to grab the silver behind CLASSIE WASHINGTON. Sectionally strong in the closing stages two starts back behind DEUS EX, his record at the middle trip looks the only concern.

NOBLE TRICK (1) faced this same gate two starts back over the sprint trip where he took cover and then using the passing lane issued the closing challenge to be just a head short of victory behind YEP GOT CHOOKS. Luckless last start after retreating from gate 7, he can be coiled and ready to strike.

THE GROGFATHER (3) was sent straight to the front from a wide gate at Redcliffe last start and once in control was never in danger. He can force the issue and in front will be looking to fight them off.

AMAMI (11) found the 1x1 trail over the mile last start and when angled wider, had the closing speed to arrive for a 1m victory. The gate makes it tough, but he can be tracking into this to feature.

SELECTIONS: ALTA REVELRY (9), NOBLE TRICK (1), THE GROGFATHER (3), AMAMI (11)
SUGGESTED BET: ALTA REVELRY (9) to win

RACE THREE

Three successive wide gates have plagued JOHNSON STEP (4) where his performances have been sectionally strong in defeat. Making nice closing metres here last week after being faced with gate 12 at the 2138, he was slammed with gate 7 at the mile the start prior. He looks to get a chance.

KADAR (1) is the query runner, with his previous five appearances on this deck earlier in the season failing to return a cheque. Now with the Chris Frisby team, he comes into this fresh without a public trial. A Menangle winner two starts back, he lands the ideal gate to throw down the challenge.

EURO BEAT (10) settled in the running line last time out from gate 3 and was making a late play when 3m from the winner ULTIMATE HUGHEY. A neck away here three back, he has podium claims.

BURNS BAY (5) was in the trail here last week at the 2138 when trying to make a raid in the stretch and finishing under 4m from the winner CANT BLUFF YOU. The wider gate makes this a little tricky.

SELECTIONS: JOHNSON STEP (4), KADAR (1), EURO BEAT (10), BURNS BAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNSON STEP (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Back to her best here last week over the 2647 trip, ADELLE (12) was safely away from the 30m impost and was allowed plenty of time to follow the speed. Making her move with 700 to run, she powered up down the back stretch and put them to the sword, pulling away to win by 20m. Chloe Butler is 1 from 1 on the mare and takes control here.

SUGARINSPICE (6) excels under mobile conditions and despite drawing wide off the front line, can show her early speed to dart across. Repelling them off the arm last start from gate 1 at the mile, she was able to claim a 5m margin. With a super record here at The Creek, she can throw it down.

MAJESTIC LAVROS (8) was a winner at the mobile mile in his first Qld appearance back in early September. Sent to the front and fighting on to score, he has the awkward alley to contend with.

GUS (7) was slowly away from the tapes last start over the long trip but worked forward to take control. With ADELLE blasting past at the 400, he fought gamely for the bronze and has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS: ADELLE (12), SUGARINSPICE (6), MAJESTIC LAVROS (8), GUS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ADELLE (12) to win

RACE FIVE

An open mare’s qualifier where SHEZA CRACKER (2) can look to step up from midweek company to tackle her own sex. Sent to the front from a wide gate last start, she was trying to see it out when collared in the last stride. A half-neck has been the beaten margin at her past two, and from this gate she can look to cash in.

ROLLED IN GOLD (9) was beaten by gate 7 here last week when forced to retreat soon after the start. Making good metres despite missing the money in the closing stages behind CAPTAIN OF SPEED, she arrived here two starts back with a nice victory. Following through, she can challenge.

WINONA WRITER (10) joins the Stephen Cini barn where she will be fresh up from a spell. With a tidy trial in readiness for the return, the gate makes it a tough ask fresh.

WHATA JOURNEY (1) was a winner here two starts back from inside the second line when tucked away and then making the closing shot a winning one. 3rd last start, she is in the mix from this alley.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA CRACKER (2), ROLLED IN GOLD (9), WINONA WRITER (10), WHATA JOURNEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA CRACKER (2) to win

RACE SIX

Things were finally in the favour of CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) here last week and with the ideal trip, he loomed strongly to claim victory over ALTA REVLERY. Working hard wide on the track two starts back when 3rd, his run was full of merit in FFA company behind FUTURE ASSURED three back. He has the gate to chase the repeat.

BIG SKEWY (1) has been in super form and completed a hat-trick of victories last start when forcing the issue in the early stages to take control and fight them off to claim a 70Final. Too strong for them the start prior at the 2138, gate 1 is not his jam and if able to force one-off, then he can challenge.

HY VOLTAGE (5) was a winner when defeating DEUS EX four runs back, taking the trail at this trip and then darting up the passing lane. With a second line gate at his past three in succession, he can use his early hustle to find a position to feature.

OUR MAJOR DAY (8) was sent around from outside the second line at Redcliffe last start and sitting parked was then able to claim a gritty victory. An economical trip will see him probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2), BIG SKEWY (1), HY VOLTAGE (5), OUR MAJOR DAY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  CLASSIE WASHINGTON (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

A tricky 3YO event to pull apart here with the Turpin stable engaged with plenty of power. ALWAYS SMOKIN (2) should strip fitter from his last start where he was fresh up from a spell and worked forward to take control and score an effortless victory over the middle trip. From this gate, he secures every chance for a repeat.

LOUS DREAM (8) was second up from a spell last time out when tackling a 70Heat at Redcliffe. Sent forward, he sat parked and was able to fight them off in claiming a starchy victory. A similarly tough effort when resuming, he has the second line options to issue a challenge.

THE BEAUDEN BLUES (3) was a first up winner when resuming at the mile here three starts back. Leading them up and claiming a 3m margin. Releasing and then runner-up two starts back, he was beaten deep into the red here on Tuesday.

ALTA MAGACIAN (7) was asked to do it tough here two starts back and was able to grind out the prize with a smart victory. A beaten fav last start when 3m from the winner, the gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS SMOKIN (2), LOUS DREAM (8), THE BEAUDEN BLUES (3), ALTA MAGACIAN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS SMOKIN (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Chasing a hat-trick of victories here on Tuesday, APHRODITE (10) was forced wide on the track in the closing stages and just peaked in the closing stages when 5m astern of the winner ILLAVABUBBLES. Making full use of gate 3 to lead throughout here the start prior, against her own sex is a huge asset.

MISSTREPO (9) settled in the running line from this gate two starts back and was making a closing play to grab 3rd and finish 4m from the winner. Faced with the outside second line last start, she was charging in the stretch to be just 1m from CAPTAIN OF SPEED. In this line up, she can challenge.

MODERN POWER (7) was second up in Qld last start when well supported to start fav and sent to sit parked form gate 5 was unable to cope. Beaten by gate 7 first up, she has podium claims with the tough alley.

DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (8) was a winner here in midweek company three starts back when darting up the passing lane to score. Grabbing the bronze last start when beaten a head, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: APHRODITE (10), MISSTREPO (9), MODERN POWER (7), DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW (8)
SUGGESTED BET: APHRODITE (10) to win

RACE NINE

Despite fading in the closing stages after a tough trip from the second line, BLACKSADANCE (1) should take plenty of benefit from the run where he was first up from a spell. Just out of the money two starts back in the Blacks A Fake, the sprint trip from this alley is bread and butter.

APHORISM (2) was shuffled out of business from inside the second line here last week as the field found their positions. Making some nice metres up the passing lane to finish midfield, he held on for the bronze here two starts back behind LEAP TO FAME. Darting straight into the trail looks ideal.

MR MCLAREN (6) made a critical error before the release point here two starts back and was never a factor. Asked to hang tough when sent forward here last week and wilting late, he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (1), APHORISM (2), MR MCLAREN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE / APHORISM (1/2) quinella / exacta

RACE TEN

These Saturday standing start events have been producing some competitive racing and no horse has stepped up to dominate them. DESPONDENT (1) was scratchy off the mark here three runs back but found the trail and just missed the minor money behind TIZ A SIZZLER. Buried in the run here on Tues, a safe start will see him get every chance.

TAIRLAW TOLL (6) stepped cleanly and went straight to the front here last week. Trying to repel the raiders, he had to settle for the silver as SEND IT proved too slippery in the stretch. A midweek veteran’s winner here two starts back, he is back to the 10m but can still issue the challenge.

BOMBADIER JUJON (5) made a mess of the start here last week and his night was done. Making some nice ground in the closing stages two runs back when 3rd, he gets his chance to feature.

MIRACLE MOOSE (7) was buried in the run here last start over the 13 furlongs and made some nice metres in the closing stages to score. Looming up here two starts back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DESPONDENT (1), TAIRLAW TOLL (6), BOMBADIER JUJON (5), MIRACLE MOOSE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: DESPONDENT (1) to win
