RACE ONE

MIRA SATURN (2) made an early error here last week and looked ot be out of play, but kept chasing and after a two horse breakaway that saw SUBTLE KIMBA then make an error, she was able to pinch the silver. Chasing gamely two back for 2nd to GAIT WITH GRACE, this might just be her chance.

ICANTDOIT (3) placed in all three starts and all behind the talented GAIT WITH GRACE before being sent for a break. Her first two appearances had merit when not far from the winner and the last one prior to the spell saw her strike trouble. A safe start can see her challenge first up.

SUBTLE KIMBA (4)
was a big leader here last week but broke gait when looking set to hold on for the silver, ultimately finishing out of the money. With another safe start, she can be thereabouts.

SNOWVANDOVA (1) is showing some gradual improvement and kept to the task last week to grab 3rd.

SELECTIONS: MIRA SATURN (2), ICANTDOIT (3), SUBTLE KIMBA (4), SNOWVANDOVA (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Just the front line runners for this 2YO maiden where the debutant, PENNIE PACKER (3) can look to frank a smart trial performance. A daughter of Ohoka Punter, she closed out in nice style in a recent qualifying trial and finds the right field to chase victory at her first outing.

CYCLONE TONY (7) beaths the handicapper here after claiming a maiden breaking victory on Thursday at Redcliffe when claiming a tough win after sitting parked from a wide gate. Building off that confidence, he can look to get forward again and issue some type of challenge.

THE TAX EVADER (5) had two starts earlier in the season when out of the money on both occasions. Sent for a break, he returns here and despite the wider gate, can feature fresh.

CALL TO ORDER (6) was sent forward from gate 7 here last week and after the tough run was within 5m of the winner. Placed his previous five in succession, another placing looks likely here.

SELECTIONS: PENNIE PAACKER (3), CYCLONE TONY (7), THE TAX EVADER (5), CALL TO ORDER (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

The first of four heats for the 2023 Peak of the Creek series all four could generate some serious front line heat. SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (8) will be relying on a slice of luck, but if a gap opens with momentum and track, she is up to the task. Asked to hang tough last start, it followed successive wins from the front. Momentum and space are the key.

LOUS DREAM (6) is backing up from Saturday night where he made full use of gate 1 to burrow through, hold the front and stay there. In for the fight in the stretch when challenged up the passing lane, he secured a PB victory. The wide gate stings, but tempo should be upbeat here.

HARRY KANE (1) was strong to the line here last week at the end of the mile after retreating from gate 7 and finishing just 5m from the winner. Lacking some early punch, he will be probing here.

OK BOOMER (4) is a newcomer to Queensland joining the Trista Dixon stable. First up for this heat, he has trialled twice and with good early speed can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (8), LOUS DREAM (6), HARRY KANE (1), OK BOOMER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET GEORGIA BROWN (8) win/place

RACE FOUR

Chasing from the second line here last time out, LUVBITE (8) finished midfield, beaten 7m behind THE TAX CULLECTOR. Three starts back he was trying to see it out from the front when just a half-neck short of victory. With the chance to stalk what should be a slick speed, he can strike.

OOGA CHAKA (7) is hunting a hat-trick after successive victories here at the mile in differing patterns. Gritty with a first over win in a second division qualifier two starts back, he rattled hard down the outside here last time out from the second line. A solid tempo will be in his favour.

THE BEAUDEN BLUES (5) was a first up winner in a 70Heat four runs back, having his first appearance following the Qld Derby back in July. Placed in all three runs since, the latest when chasing from the 1x1 trail behind ALWAYS SMOKIN. The map is the query.

IM BOO (1) was chasing a hat-trick last start when trying to see it out in front. A sub 27 opening panel took the toll, finishing 3rd, 3m astern of the swooping OOGA CHAKA. Can he see it out?

SELECTIONS: LUVBITE (8), OOGA CHAKA (7), THE BEAUDEN BLUES (5), IM BOO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LUVBITE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

The third of the Peak heats looks open and the early mapping will be vital for some of the power drawn off the back line. GLOVER (1) started from outside the second line here last week and was strung up in traffic until a gap opened and he charged through to take the victory. The options are in his favour to capitalise.

ALWAYS SMOKIN (10) is chasing a hat-trick after successive victories over the 2138 trip, both when able to dictate from the front. He gets back to the mile here and faces the outside second line so will need to show his class in a different manner this time. Despite the gate, he can throw it down.

WISPER A SECRET (9) will strip fitter following his last start in a NSW Breeders Challenge heat at Newcastle when beaten a half-neck after a tough trip. He can be chiming late.

SO SIRIUS (8) will be hoping the one horse looks to go all the way, which would provide him with the ideal trail. Knocking on the door after some solid efforts, he knocked the door down here on Saturday with a smart win.

SELECTIONS: GLOVER (1), ALWAYS SMOKIN (10), WISPER A SECRET (9), SO SIRIUS (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

Having his first start since crossing the Tasman, MOSSDALE TERRY (3) will be looking to bring the trail form from two public outings where he has looked sharp. Arriving fro the South Island of NZ, he brings three career wins and although it is a big ask fresh, he can get handy to stake his claim.

ILLAVABUBBLES (4) has won three of her four starts since arriving from the Shaky Isles, the latest a tough effort from gate 5 where she was asked to sit parked and was able to grind out the victory. Doing on the front end at Redcliffe the start prior, she can be forward enough to issue a challenge.

AARDIES FLASH (7) was sent forward from a wide gate last time out when taken to Menangle for a Carousel heat, fading in the closing stages. Beaten a blister here two starts back, the gate stings.

ART JESTER (10) faded last start after trying to take them all the way in a B5 event as BETTERTHANAROCKET descended on them. Looking sharp in a trial here last week, the gate makes it a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: MOSSDALE TERRY (3), ILLAVABUBBLES (4), AARDIES FLASH (7), ART JESTER (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Undefeated since arriving in Queensland, DARCYS FIREBALL (6) was impressive last week when stepping up against open age performers and putting them away in smart fashion. Settling in the running line from the 20m tape before cruising home to score, a threepeat looks within reach.

NATTY PAGGER (8) is knocking on the door after placings at his past four in succession, finishing as the runner-up at his past three on the bounce. Buried away last start following an early error, with a safe start and a cheap tri, he can look to issue a challenge.

FENOMENAL (11) was sent forward from the 30m tape last start to sit parked and was in for the fight to hold on for 3rd behind DARCYS FIREBALL who he meets worse at the handicaps here.

GETOVERROVER (2) broke maiden ranks here two starts back when tucked away on the poles before charging clear to claim a smart win. Large in defeat last start, if he can step cleanly, he is right in this.

SELECTIONS: DARCYS FIREBALL (6), NATTY PAGGER (8), FENOMENAL (11), GETOVERROVER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DARCYS FIREBALL (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Making full use of the inside gate here last week at his Queensland debut, MAJOR MONDO (6) took them all the way over the mile and had a healthy 8m margin to spare on the wire. Placed in three successive starts before arriving, the distance does not look a concern and he can go again.

CRIME TIME (12) was sent forward from wide off the front line at the mile last start to do the heavy lifting and after a strong opening half, faded in the closing stages to finish midfield. Buried away and not finding a gap here two starts back, the gate is a tough ask, but he looks up to the challenge.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1) has faced wide gates at his past three starts, the past two of those owing to the ODM embargo. Back in the draw, he has good early speed and has the options to feature.

BRAEVIEW FELLA (10) settled in the 1x1 trail from wide off the front line two starts back when grabbing the silver. Trying to make closing ground two starts back, he has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MONDO (6), CRIME TIME (12), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (1), BRAEVIEW FELLA (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MONDO (6) to win

RACE NINE

Placed in three of his past five starts, a win is imminent for PUSHINIT UPHILL (8). Wide off the track last start and hitting the line strongly to be 5m from the winner THE IRISHMAN at the end of the 2138, he chased hard from gate 7 the start prior. If the gaps arrives with momentum, he can cash in.

FANTASY BLASTER (2) was a winner here two starts back when showing some early hustle before taking cover. Luckless last start when searching for a gap, she has the gate to be handy to the action again here and with the right trip can throw down a challenge.

TOUCH OF TERROR (9) made full use of gate 1 here two starts back when burrowing through to lead and take them all the way. Strong to the line over the 2138 last start, he can be finishing hard here.

ULTIMATE CHANCE (1) has been racing in nice touch on The Triangle where she has been runner-up at her past four in succession. With good arm speed, she lands the options to chime in.

SELECTIONS: PUSHINIT UPHILL (8), FANTASY BLASTER (2), TOUCH OF TERROR (9), ULTIMATE CHANCE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE TEN

Keen to get forward here last week at the mile, COMMODORE JUJON (12) was driven hard through a sub 27 opener to take control. Once in front, he was able to steady the ship and take them all the way for a deserved win after successive second placed returns. Despite the gate, he can go again.

ESCALERA (2) will strip fitter from his last start when resuming from a spell. Taken back off the gate from the middle of the line, he settled back in the pack when following them home. With the early scratching, he lands all the options to issue the challenge second up.

KEY LARGO (4) found the 1x1 trail from the second line here last week at the mile and was making late metres to grab the bronze behind COMMODORE JUJON. Off the front line he can feature.

DESPONDENT (10) was put into the contest in the early stages from the second line last time out, sitting parked and hanging tough to claim the silver. With some traffic, he can chase the minors.

SELECTIONS: COMMODORE JUJON (12), ESCALERA (2), KEY LARGO (4), DESPONDENT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: COMMODORE JUJON (12) to win
