RACE ONE

BONNIES CAM (1) has now had three runs back from a spell, the latest on Thursday when powering home over the top to claim a smart victory. Resuming when beaten a head behind MY ULTIMATE VICTOR, he has the early hustle to dictate his position and looks to get every chance for a repeat win.

LYDIAS ART (8) resumed from a spell from a wide gate over the AP 2138 and was making some late metres behind the winner JESEEKA. Making the most of a trailing draw last start to dart past and claim a 2m margin over subsequent winner WUNDERLAND, he can throw it down hard.

COPY WRITER (7) was luckless at Marburg last time out when locked in behind the leader and never spotting a gap in time. She will be tucked away again here but has the benefit of the passing lane.

HE SAID SHE SAID (9) was runner-up last start when trying to see it out from the front and only collared in the closing strides, beaten a head. A fence trip looks a top spot to chase the minors.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (1), LYDIAS ART (8), COPY WRITER (7), HE SAID SHE SAID (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-7-8-9

RACE THREE

MY GIRL MANDY (8)
rolled forward from gate 4 on Thursday and asked to sit parked, was game in fighting the wire when 7m from the winner HOIHO. Grabbed in the last strides two starts back when trying to lead throughout, she finished hard when a neck away three back. This is within reach.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (4) was sent forward from outside the front line here two starts back and asked to roll the sleeves was able to grind out the prize, pulling clear in the closing stages to a 9m margin. Gunned down when trying to take them all the way last start, he finds conditions to challenge.

BARKWAY MARGARET (9) eased from gate 5 last start over this trip when sent to the post as fav. Unable to get warm in the closing stages, it followed a win from this same gate. She can chime in.

SHADYS DELIGHT (5) was able to find the space to angle out of trouble and finish best to claim a narrow Marburg victory last start. The wider gate makes the task of a repeat tougher in this.

SELECTIONS: MY GIRL MANDY (8), THE CASUAL GOOSE (4), BARKWAY MARGARET (9), SHADYS DELIGHT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY GIRL MANDY (8) to win

RACE FOUR

The outside front line over the 2040 is never any luxury but ODINS BLACK CROWS (6) has been in strong form at HQ in recent starts. Beaten an eyelash three back over the AP mile, he then was put into the contest early from the second line and proved too classy. He can defy the gate here.

MULLUM BOY (2) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating early and then unable to get warm over the closing stages as APHRODITE saw it out in front. Midfield behind CAPTAIN OF SPEED two starts back, he can get forward to issue the challenge.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) had the three poles trip sewn up on Thursday before being sent around to sit parked and then faded late. At his best with the soft trip, he can be stalking here to offer.

JAKKI MUN (4) has been racing in nice touch and will be backing up from Friday where he looked to have podium claims. An all the way winner four back over the AP mile, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: ODINS BLACK CROWS (6), MULLUM BOY (2), BEEF CITY BLAZE (1), JAKKI MUN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ODINS BLACK CROWS (6) to win

RACE FIVE

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8)
tackled a standing start event last time out at Marburg when roughly away when the tapes flew. Midfield over the AP 2138 two starts back, he can press through early and looks to have found the ideal conditions to claim his 16th Redcliffe success.

CHIEF JUJON (2) has numbers that are far from inspiring but importantly last start was granted a return to the draw off the ODM embargo. Fitter again after two runs back from a spell, he can settle handy to the action here to issue a challenge.

TRUE GRIT SHADOW (7) found his race here two starts back and from the second line secured the 1x1 trail before finishing over the top of them. Runner-up last start, he can be probing for gaps.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (5) has been in some consistent touch, hitting the board at her past four in succession. Placed in all three since winning tough from the breeze four back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), CHIEF JUJON (2), TRUE GRIT SHADOW (7), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) to win

RACE SIX

The biggest obstacle for most of this field will be the 2040 trip, with the last panel likely to be a slugfest. HESLUVABLE (9) might just have enough edge to overcome the outside second line in this line up. Not helped with a flat tyre over the AP 2138 last start, he looks up to the task.

VALLANI MAGIC (6) is a five-time winner but has never chalked one up beyond 1780. Sliding across to find the running line from gate 4 last start, she chased hard to finish midfield which followed an economical trip when buried on the poles from inside the second line. She looks up to challenging.

DESTINY BLUES (7) faded last start over the AP mile to finish at the rear. Two starts back over the sprint trip on this deck, she held on for the bronze and with a soft trip can be chasing a minor.

LAZY BLAZE (8) faded after trying to see it out from gate 1 last start at HQ over the sprint trip. Beaten by a wide gate two starts back, he can be joining in here.

SELECTIONS: HESLUVABLE (9), VALLANI MAGIC (6), DESTINY BLUES (7), LAZY BLAZE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:  HESLUVABLE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

WATERLINE (9)
was returning from a spell last start when faced with the inside second line over the Marburg 1850. Closing it out in nice order to be under 4m from the winner, she has placed in three of her four on this deck and finds the right conditions to get over the top of them.

SPICE BOY (2) was trying to make the most of gate 1 at Marburg last start when darting through to lead. Turning for home with a narrow advantage, he had to settle for the silver behind SUBTLE CHAY. With the chance to chase the arm again here, he can be gripping on.

ASTROPHILIA (7) struck trouble last start and was banished to the trials. Earning the return, she can be tucked away behind the speed here and await the gaps to chime in.

OUTER CHANGE (5) was midfield last start after facing the outside front-line gate. Struggling to land a marble in recent appearances, she will need to overcome another wide one here.

SELECTIONS: WATERLINE (9), SPICE BOY (2), ASTROPHILIA (7), OUTER CHANGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WATERLINE (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

Another 2040 contest that will likely be a hurdle too high for many of these. ROCCO VARIETY (4) can only boast a solitary victory beyond 1850, but he finds the conditions to look for another. Forcing the issue here three starts back and pressing to the front, releasing, and slugging it out for the bronze. He can claim the last race raffle.

SWINGING GEORGE (8) has been starting from tough gates and lands another second line alley here. Making some late metres over the AP mile two back behind CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN, he could not get warm last start. With the right trail, he might just improve on his middle trip figures to challenge.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (1) chimed in late to grab the bronze at Kilcoy two starts back and from this gate can secure the easy trip and be ready to chase a podium result.

CIRCLE LINE (5) found them a little too slippery at HQ last time out when finishing at the rear. Just out of the money two back, he can chase some minor money from the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: ROCCO VARIETY (4), SWINGING GEORGE (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (1), CIRCLE LINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCCO VARIETY (4) to win
