RACE ONE

DUNKEM (2) returns from a break after fading to the rear at her last appearance in a slick mile at HQ. Taking her first look at The Triangle for this battle, she has the early hustle to look for the front and finds the right conditions to strike fresh.

BREEZE ON BYE BYE (4) was sent for a break after finishing at the rear int the Fillies Triad Consolation after a soft trip against the markers from the inside second line. Her two career placings have been on this deck, and she can chime in first up.

CYCLONE TONY (5) was last sighted back in June when striking trouble and having his chances fly out the window. With the wide gate owing to the ODM embargo, a smaller field size will help here.

AIR EXPRESS (6) got it all wrong on debut and was left chasing as FOUR FEATHERS took the prize. If he some of the problems have been ironed out, he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: DUNKEM (2), BREEZE ON BYE BYE (4), CYCLONE TONY (5), AIR EXPRESS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

GIDUP CAPTAIN (3)
is chasing the hat-trick after claiming successive wins at this trip from his past two appearances. Sent straight to the front last start, he was able to roll in front and claim an effortless 3m margin. From the gate he finds the conditions to chase the threepeat.

CAPTAIN FOXTROT (7) has placed in three of his past four starts, the past two when finishing as the runner-up. Hitting the line in smart order wide out last time to be under 2m from the winner FOR NO REASON, he was gunned down when leading two starts back. He will be searching for gaps.

CHARLIE CHUCKLES (6) has faced a tough four runs back from a long break and on paper probably been on the plain side. Despite the gate, he should appreciate a drop to this grade, and he can use this to turn things around.

ONE CHAIN ROAD (2) faced the inside second line here three starts back and with the economical trip was able to charge late to score. Wide gates have dented his chances the past two.

SELECTIONS: GIDUP CAPTAIN (3), CAPTAIN FOXTROT (7), CHARLIE CHUCKLES (6), ONE CHAIN ROAD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GIDUP CAPTAIN (3) to win

RACE FOUR

HOIHO (7) was chasing a hat-trick of victories here two starts back when striking trouble in the run and finishing near the rear. Trying to make ground wide off the track last start when midfield to FOVEAUX MAJOR, he will be tucked away and if the gap arrives in time, is right up to this.

TULHURST CUDDLES (5) was a starchy winner over the sprint trip here three starts back when sent forward to sit parked from a wide gate. Midfield at her next outing at Marburg, she was too far back last time. Despite the gate, she can get forward to throw it down.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) was sent to the post as fav last start from outside the front line and after working home wide off the track was unplaced. The gate helps in this tougher contest.

THE HARRIS HAWK (8) does have a win over the trip but overall, his numbers are not great beyond the sprint. Only a neck away last start when closing hard, he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: HOIHO (7), TULHURST CUDDLES (5), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), THE HARRIS HAWK (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HOIHO (7) to win

RACE FIVE

PERFECT FEELING (4)
started from gate 2 over the AP mile last time out and with no early hustle never really warmed up in finishing midfield. Buried from the inside second line two starts back and needing a gap sooner, he finds the conditions to fire some early bullets and stake a claim.

DIPPED IN SILVER (9) faced a wide gate here two starts back and was searching for position when holding on to finish midfield. Faced with this same gate last start, he was wide off the track and closing strongly to grab 2nd behind CALL ME TRISH. Look for him making a late challenge again.

HOLME BOY (5) is not helped by the wide gate but with an even slice of luck finds the right opposition. Luckless last start when searching for a gap, he can be making a play here.

MOLLIDOR (2) was best of the chasing pack behind BEE GEES BEST here four starts back but has been unable to land in the money since. Settling handy, this is the right line up to chime in.

SELECTIONS: PERFECT FEELING (4), DIPPED IN SILVER (9), HOLME BOY (5), MOLLIDOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

PLAYA BLANCA (2)
was beaten by a wide gate last start over the sprint trip after retreating early and then making a strong rally in the stretch to finish under 3m of the winner MUCH BETTOR. Hitting the line in good order when 3rd to KEAYANG MARVEN two runs back, she can capitalise off this alley.

JAGARA (5) tackled a qualifier last start from gate 5 where he eased for position before closing it off in good order as AWAYWEGO controlled it out in front. Hitting the line smartly at his only previous outing on this deck, he can be issuing a challenge to chase his first Qld victory.

SHADOW MINISTER (6) was chasing a hat-trick of victories three runs back when beaten by a wide gate over the AP mile. Another wide gate at his next outing, a return to The Triangle where he is a four-time winner helps.

MAJORDOIT (3) tackled the standing start at HQ last time out and after finding the trail, was trying to reel in TAIRLAW TOLL when finishing midfield. He can force the pressure here to feature.

SELECTIONS: PLAYA BLANCA (2), JAGARA (5), SHADOW MINISTER (6), MAJORDOIT (3)
SUGGESTED BET:  PLAYA BLANCA (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

ROCKSLIDE (5)
eased from gate 6 last time out and from deep field never really warmed into the task as IDEAL TIGER pounced on them to score. Too far back the start prior when trying to chase behind BONNIES CAM, he can look to find cheap position here and take his shot.

TOMMY BLIGH (1) charged off the arm from wide out here two starts back and finding the front was able to control the tempo to claim a 2m margin. A beaten fav last start from the 1x1 trail, he secures all the options from the inside alley to issue the challenge.

ARNOLD STREET (4) darted through from the inside gate to set the tempo last time out and led deep into the stretch, only to be collared on the wire. With further fitness, he can be thereabouts again.

SERGIOS ROCKET (6) was first up in Qld last start when tackling the AP mile and from gate 5, never really got into the contest behind GELDOF. He can improve second up, the gate is the concern.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSLIDE (5), TOMMY BLIGH (1), ARNOLD STREET (4), SERGIOS ROCKET (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

FOVEAUX MAJOR (2)
held the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and when angled into space, darted along the passing lane to take the prize. Too far back here two starts back when settled at the rear, he can position close to the speed here to take his shot.

LA SABINA (1) makes her first appearance in Qld, arriving a two-time winner. Drawn wide gates in her recent starts, the latest from outside the front line at Tamworth, she has the gate speed to avail the options from this gate and look to issue a first up challenge.

HEY MISTER TAYLOR (6) started two off the second line last start and was strung up in traffic when looking for a way clear. Placed in both prior outings, he has podium claims despite the wide gate.
TRALEE MAXIE (7) did not have the smoothest passage last start when searching for track. With the chance of the cosy trip in behind the speed, he can chase some minor money.

SELECTIONS: FOVEAUX MAJOR (2), LA SABINA (1), HEY MISTER TAYLOR (6), TRALEE MAXIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FOVEAUX MAJOR (2) to win

RACE NINE

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7)
faced the outside second line last start when trying to issue a closing raid and grabbing the bronze behind SISTA BLISS. Aping for the soft trip in behind the action, if he can get some gaps while the momentum is there, this is well within reach.

WOODLEA DIEGO (1) started from outside the second line last time out and after making an early move to get forward, the advances were repelled and he was forced back to the rear. Striking trouble from behind the tapes two starts back, he can make full use of the gate to throw it down.

IDEAL TIGER (3) was shuffled to three back along the inside last time out and when the gap arrived, charged hard to claim victory. He can be handy enough to be in the finish once again.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (8) was locked away from the inside second line last start and trying to make some closing metres as FALCONS revved up down the outside to score. He has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7), WOODLEA DIEGO (1), IDEAL TIGER (3), LITTLELIONELJAMES (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8
